A little parent tip: Change diapers before bottle feeding! It’s a life savor! I change my babies first then feed and they usually fall asleep while eating so I just put them down after! It takes a huge chinch of time off of the entire process!

Hey Colleen… washing pump parts is exhausting, especially since it’s every 3 hours! Tip that we tell our NICU moms…. After pumping, just put your pumping parts (still assembled) in a gallon ziploc bag and just refrigerate between pumps. Just be sure to wash once in a 24 period! Helps save some time! 💞 you’re doing great!
Yes! This was so helpful when I was pumping and went back to work. We didn't have a place to wash them, so I just stuck them i the fridge and washed when I got home.

Please do not change your babies after feeds! The rule for our nicu and Inpatient floors is change diapers swaddle feed, then burp once if not gassy, then straight to the bassinet. If you change after feeds, you are removing all comfort they just had and are now disorganized. That is why you may be struggling with fussiness after feed times.
My daughter ALWAYS pooped right after eating. If I didn’t change her she would have sat or slept in her own poo. They should probably do what works best for them 🤷♀️

When I got to the spilled milk part of that vlog, I FELT the stress and the pressure and abject sadness of it. So hard. Never been a mom, likely won't be, but the crack in composure that comes from that ONE thing that just pushes you over the edge when you're struggling hard already was so relatable.
I’m an exclusively pumping mama pretty much since my baby was born (she’s 1 next week!). She had latch issues and I was pumping until I could get her to latch again… it just didn’t happen. Sometimes feeding your baby doesn’t go to plan but you have to do what’s right for you and your baby. It’s been tough but I found joining a group of BF or EP mums really helpful! You’re doing amazing Colleen xxx

I'm interested in how much it is to have a baby (twins) in America and Canada too. Paying for medial care is such a forgein concept to me as I live in the UK where medical care is covered in our taxes etc. (I recently had my baby at the hospital via forceps delivery)
@@danih2972In Canada its also covered in our taxes as well! I read somewhere in 2008 that it’s costed $ 70,000 in American for one baby in the NICU for a month I couldn’t imagine two babies !!

My cousin was a micropreemie (less than a pound when she was born), and I think the vast majority of her stay/the surgeries she had to have were covered. I know many foreigners think our health care is completely private. It’s not. We heavily subsidize health care. We also have Medicare and Medicaid. So no we don’t have poor people paying thousands and thousands on health care besides what our ignorant media tells you.

Sorry for the loss of your friend, it sucks. I've been thru it a few times but never my best friend so I feel for you. I talk to my one friend sometimes almost as if I'm hoping he's watching over me or is here with me. That helps me sometimes and it's been over 10yrs since he's passed. I find comfort in watching Colleens videos as well her whole family is just so great. I'm glad the videos are helping you. Make sure you take care of yourself and let yourself be sad if you need to be! I know I'm a stranger but my heart breaks for you and I'm sending love and positive vibes your way ❤

I’m a first time mama, and our due dates were actually the same day! My babe also came early, though. Lol. It’s so fun seeing you play with Flynn. It’s really nice to see you be so transparent about life with newborns. It helps me feel less alone. ❤️

In case she doesn't see this, she has said they are trying to hire someone. I actually thought at one point she said they found a nanny, but she never explained why that didn't work out. Then the Rona got real bad again, and for a while not even her parents were coming to help, so I'm sure a non- family member wasn't gonna happen.

When you have postpartum depression, everything in your life becomes overwhelming. Even just making a few phone calls or having a shower every day. I really don’t think it’s fair for you to judge her so harshly unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

As a pilot, it really made me smile when I saw you guys watching planes fly by and waving at them. Super wholesome watching Flynn run down the mini runway made for kids. It’s one of the many reasons that really keep me motivated to pursue my licenses. Much love❤️

Through the whole of Colleen's pregnancy, my health deteriorated and seeing someone being honest and vulnerable in public about the pain they were in, really helped. I am too quick to answer I'm OK when someone asks me how I'm doing especially if I'm not. Well I have definitely hit a low point with my health this week and an ambulance had to be called. I am now on day 4 of being in hospital and getting internet signal is a nightmare, so I am behind in vlogs. But as luck would have it, this popped up and actually played and the joy of watching Flynn playing on the airfield, is as good as any medicine I have been given. Just his joy of make believe and creating his own fun with his Mama and Daddy was so beautiful. Colleen you often ask how to do this, but you are doing it, you have three kids who adore you and a whole community here that's day is made a little less alone because of your honesty. I can't thank you enough.
I rented the Medela Pump also because it was “sensitive” and wasn’t an aggressive pump and I loved it as well. I’m glad to see they are still using them. My baby turns 16 on Monday.

I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my first and I love how real you are. Try a spectra pump! They need a power supply but they’re super portable and very recommended in the breastfeeding/pumping community. I had the pink one 😊

Instantly when you found out you were pregnant or did it take a while? I still haven't felt that "motherly" connection and it worries me...even though reading other blogs it's completely normal for some people.

I'm not doing very well, but I am doing it" which definitely will help me get through the rest of life lol and even if it seems like you're not doing very well, you have accomplished it and no one can take that away from you... As an empathy myself, I’m so happy you are encouraging him to show his emotion. I grew subconsciously suppressing them so when others felt a strong emotion, that feeling would be deep inside me and it would be pain. So I’m happy Flynn is able to express it and let the emotions out.

I really admire you both for making special Flynn time happen. Colleen, I remember how nervous you were about how Flynn would react to not only two new family members, but less attention. He loves them so much and yes, its because he's such a sweet kind little guy, but also you and Eric make him feel so secure and loved. Even when you don't get the chance to have outings like these with just him, yall still have playtime with him while holding babies and are both so present with him. I had a baby in the NICU for 2 weeks and our bill after insurance was $160,000. American healthcare is horrible

Sorry for the loss of your friend, it sucks. I've been thru it a few times but never my best friend so I feel for you. I talk to my one friend sometimes almost as if I'm hoping he's watching over me or is here with me. That helps me sometimes and it's been over 10yrs since he's passed. I find comfort in watching Colleens videos as well her whole family is just so great. I'm glad the videos are helping you. I’m breast and bottle feeding and trying to manage the other kids too. I see how you have made it through the last few months and gives me hope it gets easier. In case she doesn't see this, she has said they are trying to hire someone. I actually thought at one point she said they found a nanny, but she never explained why that didn't work out. Then the Rona got real bad again, and for a while not even her parents were coming to help, so I'm sure a non- family member wasn't gonna happen.

When you have postpartum depression, everything in your life becomes overwhelming. Even just making a few phone calls or having a shower every day. I really don’t think it’s fair for you to judge her so harshly unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

Through the whole of Colleen's pregnancy, my health deteriorated and seeing someone being honest and vulnerable in public about the pain they were in, really helped. I am too quick to answer I'm OK when someone asks me how I'm doing especially if I'm not. Well I have definitely hit a low point with my health this week and an ambulance had to be called. I am now on day 4 of being in hospital and getting internet signal is a nightmare, so I am behind in vlogs. But as luck would have it, this popped up and actually played and the joy of watching Flynn playing on the airfield, is as good as any medicine I have been given. Just his joy of make believe and creating his own fun with his Mama and Daddy was so beautiful. Colleen you often ask how to do this, but you are doing it, you have three kids who adore you and a whole community here that's day is made a little less alone because of your honesty. I can't thank you enough.

I rented the Medela Pump also because it was “sensitive” and wasn’t an aggressive pump and I loved it as well. I’m glad to see they are still using them. My baby turns 16 on Monday.

As an empathy myself, I’m so happy you are encouraging him to show his emotion. I grew subconsciously suppressing them so when others felt a strong emotion, that feeling would be deep inside me and it would be pain. So I’m happy Flynn is able to express it and let the emotions out.

I really admire you both for making special Flynn time happen. Colleen, I remember how nervous you were about how Flynn would react to not only two new family members, but less attention. He loves them so much and yes, its because he's such a sweet kind little guy, but also you and Eric make him feel so secure and loved. Even when you don't get the chance to have outings like these with just him, yall still have playtime with him while holding babies and are both so present with him.
