I love Nizoral as well! Just a suggestion about getting the shampoo to lather up well: put some shampoo in your hands and rub your hands together several times, like 10 times or so. This emulsifies the shampoo and helps it spread easier and lather up really well. It really does make a difference in how well the shampoo spreads through the hair and I feel like I don’t need to use as much product as I used to.

I love nizoral! I make a scalp treatment with it by adding tea tree oil, peppermint oil and the dandruff shampoo by Jason, leave on my scalp for a bit before washing and then do my usual wash day routine. Gets my scalp right every time! 💃🏽

I thought I had Dandruff and it turned out to be only product buildup, lol! A lot of these leave in conditioners leave flaky type residue and itchiness when it dries. I have officially stopped using any kind of leave in product, only shampoo and conditioner for me once a week and it works. Little to no breakage or excessive shedding. and NO FLAKES...ironic huh? But what works for me may not work for everyone else. Great vid as always.

You can use that on your face too if you have bad acne. Some acne is caused by an overproduction of yeast on the skin. Lather and leave on for 2 minutes, acne will start to clear in 1-2 weeks. 🤗

So glad you found relief! I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis a year ago so I know the struggle. My dermatologist prescribed the ketoconazole 2% shampoo. I used nizoral but I think my prescription shampoo works better because it’s a little stronger. Because ketoconazole kills the fungus that causes the scalp issues I think that’s why it’s more effective where as the other shampoos just treat the symptoms. I would use my prescription shampoo every wash day but now I have my scalp under control and I use it every 3 weeks for maintenance. I use carols daughter goddess curls shampoo and conditioner after and my hair and scalp are fine. I also use this scalp solution from Beas bayou skincare. It’s water based with herbs in it to also relieve itchy flaky scalp. Those two products have helped my seborrheic dermatitis so much!

I just bought Nizoral shampoo/conditioner at CVS for $24.00. I have psoriasis of the scalp. I use it once a week. My scalp still itches if I don't wash it, but Nizoral works. I have a lot of hair so, I use a palm sized amount so I can get it all over my hair. Overall, Nizoral works. I like it. I'll be paying the money for Nizoral and I might purchase an applicator bottle just in case I need it.

It helped me for my itchy scalp and sores that came out from switching shampoo.. and I used this from seeing videos here in TH-cam. And two times from using it ,I seen the results. I bought the Nizoral shampoo because of you Joy-el. For years I've had an itchy scalp towards the top and back of my head and im not sure why. There isn't dandruff, but its just always itchy. Over the years the hair in that area has gotten short and thin due to all the scratching. I just used it today after getting it from Amazon and as of right now, no itch. Hopefully I can go at least 5 days without any itch and hopefully the thickness and length comes back.
I don't like to oil my scalp so I hope that this actually works!

I'm glad the Nizoral is working for you! Have you tried tea tree oil? It has known antifungal activity and is pretty effective treating things like athlete's foot and onychomycosis. If you find your scalp flaring up in between shampoos, it might be worth trying. I recommend diluting tea tree oil (or any essential oil) in a carrier oil before applying to the scalp.

You have product build up from hair butter on your hair! You need a good clarifying shampoo with chelating in it. Ouai detox shampoo is good. You can use it every 4-6weeks. Another good one is TPH honey fresh aloe it’s more affordable. Then deep conditioner with heat afterwards. Your curls will probably pop afterwards and it will probably help with dandruff. I only say this because the water is sitting on top of your hair instead of absorbing in your hair. You can still use your hair butter just clarify every 4-6 weeks

@@nibbax7772 no problem, I used it only 1-2 times per week and the important part is to leave it for 5-10 minutes on your scalp (I kinda went in between and used to leave it for 7 minutes). Massage your scalp with it, don’t scrub your hair (it’ll make your hair very dry since it’s strong), it’s your scalp you’re healing. I didn’t notice any hair loss. I don’t know how severe your case is but I would go to a doctor and ask about it, but you probably already tried that. Also don’t use too much, a little is enough to cover your scalp. Hope this helps.

You should try DHS 2% zinc shampoo. It’s the same active ingredient that’s in head and shoulders but I don’t like head and shoulders because they only have it in 1% instead of 2 and they have silicones/polyquats in it and plus I’d rather support a small business. Nizoral is ok but zinc is better because it’s not just an anti fungal it’s also a keratolytic and it doesn’t grow resistant to certain fungi on your scalp. Plus it’s gentle on your hair strands.
