My opinion: He has great qualities of a leader. Vuto ndi ndale. During his regime he was passive whilst Alot of DPP officials both in the Cabinet n chipani were busy looting public funds and zinthu zambiri zinaonongeka. Don't forget the likes of Achisale, Cash Madame, Dan Lu and the list goes on. Nepotism. Rampant corruption, Violence and all sorts were associated with his presidency. He will get votes cuz he is loved like a Bakili was but Malawi knows that DPP wants to use him to gain power n get back into government to continue stealing. He is in his late 80's and would be easy to control once they use him, they will find a way to get rid of him. Same applies to the current goverment because it's a can of worms.
