There are many FREE video editors, no need to pay $50 per month! Get a free one that is better than this one, or pay just $100-200 to own a much better editor outright.

WHAT?!?! I use a lot of sophisticated software that don't get me the results I want. I'm finding out that less is more, and may be exactly what I need in my life. The great thing about it is, I've had it the whole time. You're teaching me things about my computer I've never known. Hey. I just learned how to turn on the backlight on my keyboard after year of use from someone else. 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for this video Kevin.

thanks for the note! haha, Windows comes with a lot of fantastic apps that are pretty powerful, but Microsoft does a poor job of raising awareness about them. Naming it the Photos app and not Photos and Video doesn't help. Cheers!

is this where I mention that although Windows 10's policy seems to be 'remove more features than it puts in'....
the Photo viewer that we all used to love.... and disappeared with the slow (mine takes 4-5 secs to open) windows 10 thing... is still there in windows 10!
You have to hack the registry to get it back... but just search google and you'll find several ways to get it back... (its SOOOO much quicker on my old HP i5 PC)

    Hi Kevin,
Just wanted to say thank you so much for this video. Being vision impaired it's very difficult to find a screen reader friendly video editor, after all who would ever think that the blind or vision impaired would want to create or edit videos? But we do and I was absolutely over joyed when I discovered this video. Microsoft has always been decent with their shortcut keys and screen reader friendly apps and video editor is no different. I didn't know this until I saw this video. So once again Thank you.

I don't seem to have the Windows 10 video editor that can adjust the
volume for each photo/ video selected.
I cannot find the prompt that auto creates.
The custom music that I added does not continue to the end
    of the video.
I don't know if there is a time limit for the length of the
    video.
Are there different versions? If so, how can I get that version? How can I tell which
version I have. My operating system is the 2019 Windows 10.

Well, I think the tutorial you did was pretty good. Unfortunately, the program for a self made video is not so good. When I did a simple trim on my video then exported it, the rendering was faulty and really unusable for my students. Thanks for the tutorial. I liked some of the controls on the editing. Simple and elegant but the end product wasn't good enough.

Kevin, thanks so much for explaining how to use this video editor! Your video was quick, clear, and covered a lot, just what I was looking for. I just discovered that I have this feature on my laptop 15 mins ago and I am so excited to try it!

p.s. - it's worth noting that I am what is described as a technophobe so in producing nearly 3hrs of 2.5mins videos in Video Editor hopefully encourages rather more technically minded on here to persist. Also worth noting that when you visit Video Editor it can take a while for the programme to identify your "titled" video from Documents (which is where I kept all 70 x 2.5 min videos.) This issue improved the more times I visited the Video Editor for some reason - so this Lockdown video project along with my other still image videos now appear on the front page of Video Editor almost immediately on Video Editor programme. Keep On Keeping On!

As well as saying what this app CAN do, it would probably be worth mentioning what it CAN'T do. For example, last night I edited my first video with this and most of what you tell us like 'trim' and 'split' is fairly self evident, you see the icon, you click on it, it is evident how it works. But I'm looking for things that one might expect to find, like for example on XP's old 'Movie Maker' (from all those years ago) you could add a music track too (or multiple sound tracks), and you could control it, fade it in and fade it out and change it or stop it for different clips. With Editor it seems the music is either on or off at a fixed volume for the whole video which I thought was a massive step backwards. So if I can't do that, I need to know that I can't do that so I can stop going nuts looking for a feature that's not there. I didn't find 'Transitions or fade in/outs either, but you did mention that they aren't there - That's what I mean, it saves me time looking for them. (Although again, pretty dumb that they left it off)
