Congrats... glad I found your channel. My son just told me about maybe he want to be a pilot in the future. I shared your videos to him. You will sure be an inspiration for him. He's in grade 11 right now. If things work out, maybe he will meet you in Waterloo before your graduation. Add oil! 加油💪
Congrats Marcus 👍👏🥳 Thanks to your aunt Lily that I've got to "experience" your solo flight.. truly inspiring.. your parents must be very proud of you.. The Lord bless you and keep you always Captain Marcus🙏😇
Yes! You are required to practice stalls and spins with your instructor before your first solo just to let you know how to recognize and recover from them in case you inadvertently entered any one of them during your solo.
@@Farke33 I'd say it's slightly worse than a roller coaster, because you are not attached to a track during a spin, and you'd definitely feel the 'drop'!
@@Farke33 Oh absolutely! It's gonna be scary for the first few times, but when you get used to it, it's not as bad as you think (trust me I was afraid of roller coasters as well)
I don't know too too much about Western's aviation program, but I believe the program is about commercial aviation management and you start to fly in your third year. That being said it's quite different than Waterloo's where you'll be taking geo/science courses along with your flight training
When taxiing in strong winds, we turn the yoke in the direction of the wind to prevent the plane from accidentally turning towards the wind (we call them weathervaning) or even tip over. So if the wind comes from the front right side, we turn the yoke to the right, and vice versa. I hope that answers your question :)
@@pilotmarcus Ahhh, I see now. I've been flight simming since 1982 but never knew that, so thanks very much. It just goes to show you can learn something new everyday, and from anyone!!!

does the flight center allow you to take their aircraft out for vacation after you get your ppl.
They do allow rentals so you can have fun flying around after you got your PPL!!

Have you done the stall spins training? It would be great if you make videos of these. I love your videos👍

@pilotmarcus Cool! How does spin feel? Does it feel like a roller coaster?
@@Farke33 I'd say it's slightly worse than a roller coaster, because you are not attached to a track during a spin, and you'd definitely feel the 'drop'!
Can a person who is afraid of roller coasters do the stall and spin training?

Great 👍👍👍
Do you know anything about westerns program and how it compares to waterloo

Question - Why when taxiing do you have the yoke hard right?
When taxiing in strong winds, we turn the yoke in the direction of the wind to prevent the plane from accidentally turning towards the wind (we call them weathervaning) or even tip over. So if the wind comes from the front right side, we turn the yoke to the right, and vice versa. I hope that answers your question :)

does university tuition in the program cover flight costs ?
Unfortunately no, you would have to pay seperately for the flight training fees :(
