Walk backwards. I'm serious, walk backwards while reeling. It can completely disable the survivor's strafing and quickly reel them away from any possible chain breaking objects.

Dead Man’s Switch is actually pretty decent on the Doctor, mainly because the static blast forces survivors off of the objective, or on Hillbilly because when they hear cotton eye joe’s chainsaw they start nyooming.
When you get good at quick shot playing as the DeathSlinger becomes fun as hell.

Dead man's switch now activates when you hook any survivor. The iridescent coin lets you insta-down a survivor if you spear them from 12+ meters. You can snipe a survivor from a decent distance and this will most likely work. I've used it plenty of times and it can really suck for the survivors. Usually they also try to dodge your shots so hard that they forget to actually run away from you. Easy hits. Going for a loop? Nah, get away from the damn pallet. Did you know that you can *walk backwards* to very quickly reel survivors away from level geometry and then go for the hit? This actually severely limits their ability to strafe. Try it, you'll be surprised.
I've been looking everywhere but do u know if teammate can block u from hitting a speared person?
@@cindymolina593 Teammates can take protection hits if they get in between you and the speared survivor. They can also pressure the chain to break by colliding with it. Walking backwards while reeling can make it harder for the other survivors to break your chain.
I actually prefered the editing in this video over your past ones, it felt more professional over all and gave it a smoother presentation.
A thought:
What if, instead of add-ons that improved his movement speed while ADS, they improved projectile velocity? And the iri add-on that gives him one hit downs came with a highlighting tool, but greatly increased the break speed of the chain?
Also, if there were one reload add-on and the rest were replaced with range add-ons, with a purple one greatly improving range (up to 25m, doesn't stack) but also reduced ADS speed?

At the time he had his quickscope i was a newer Deathslinger main. So watching vids like this is painful because it only shows the monster I had in my hands but I was too bad using it.
I feel your pain. I bought Slinger when the nerf was in the PTB, and got maybe a week with him in his full glory

Man, I'm a Deathslinger main and all of this was so accurate lol xD
But one thing i'll note.
The Iri Coin is indeed a pile of hot garbage 90+% of the time.
But it does see some use in a map like Hawkins (if survivors are stupid enough to run in a straight line before you turn the corner, which most tend to be)
My fave map to use it on would have to be the new silent hill school map however, near those lockers that block up half the hallway because *someone forgot to pay the janitor to clean up the weird mess behind it*
Survivors will always be required to follow a single path in that hallway at which you can just wait for them and shoot once they're turning a locker's side again (it's the spawnplace of a totem too, so maybe bonus).
I've had value in normal hallways too but it's slightly harder because they have wiggle-room and honestly.
*why don't survivors light up past 15 meters? Do I look like I know when they passed 15 meters?*
Thanks BHVR for leaving Deathslinger with an aura addon nobody uses and an exposed addon that's nearly just luck based.

Honestly, I find the killer that can get the most value out of Dead Man's Switch is probably Freddy. Running it with Remember Me and BBQ means youll have constant info on the other survivors if you're smacking the obsession and his power can force them off the gens in turn. You'll also get constant stall in the endgame with RM if they'll completing gens fast despite DMS.

To be fair, if you practice enough with any killer you will be amazing with them. I am amazing with deathslinger even at low ranks because I can always predict where my spear is going to hit

On PC he's a lot easier to aim with, and far more difficult to fight. Almost Spirit levels of "well guess I die" if they're any good.

On the bright side, now DMS can activate when ANY survivor is hooked, not just the obsession.
This killer reminds me of a hunter from IDV. The only thing different is that the hunter he reminds me in question, Bane the Gamekeeper, pulls the survivor instantly towards him, ignoring all other obstacles between the two. I think, if I ever get this game I'd play the Deathslinger some, as the Gamekeeper is my main hunter I play as.
Iridecent change consepts:
iron: +4 meters on the shot, and can use it to break pallets
Badge: increase move speed when aiming, and reloding. and they have exsposed when being reeled in, this lasts 5 seconds if they escape

deadman's switch now triggers with any hook, so its a bit better now, especially if combined with pain resonance scourge hooks you can force survivors to get off of gens just by hooking some dude on a white hook.

Poor Slinger... They took his quickdraw, broke his legs (again), and made him loud and clunky on approach. There's also his add-ons... Poor Slinger...
Honestly I play quite a lot of deathslinger and I definitely think he needs a buff ether cut the reload time by like a second and a half or missed shots by a second and a half. And the this next part is his add-ons I think his add-ons are alright you got some of the best ones being warden keys and gun oil but the iridescent ones are really bad I would change the hells-shire iron to “hells-shire bullets” where you get 2 bullets in your gun instead of 1 but the reload time is like 3 seconds longer and I would change the iridescent coin instead of it being 15 meters I would only set it at 10 or 12 meters instead.
