For what I understand, the reason why an expansion seems so close is because the game originaly was going to be 13 chapters long, and a lot of stuff from those missing 7 chapters was already done before they were left out (In some of the trailers you can see stuff that is not in the final game)
@@TheAtkinson118 They didn't have the funds to finish the game with all 13 chapters so they made the 6 ones longer than originally intended and launched the game. Now, after the big success it had, they finished the game and are selling the rest as a dlc.
Just running through NG+ now, end of Chapter 2. I didn't even think about shelving this game yet - I want that Dark Iron Staff and Bull Armor! It's very satisfying being OP and destroying all those Bosses that broke your heart in the first run through. Smashing a Boss with Pluck of Many / Unified Mind never gets old. What an incredible game.
I got dark iron staff and full bull armour in ng+, it made erlang fight a complete joke, beat him easily. But I find it that in ng+2, the game becomes a lot harder, the bosses hp increases massively. So you don’t feel as OP as you should be
Wukong is proof to me that these companies do NOT need to be scumbags, milking us with garbage microtransactions. They can make GREAT games, and make PLENTY of money, it just HAS to be a great game.
@@garyman420 because the sentiment online with journalists and a chunk of the people on social media is that games cost Soo much more now, so they "HAVE to" add ridiculous Microtransactions, raise prices on games, raise prices on everything. But this to me shows that they don't need to make a 300 million dollar game, they don't need to spend 10 years making a game. If they have great staff focused on making great games, no agenda, no politics, and have the BEST employees who are hired because of their talent, they can make amazing games and make plenty of money to keep everything not only sustainable, but extremely profitable.
I just want to say this for ANYONE who has ever had trouble with the Black Loong fight because I figured this out by accident: If you jump on top of one of the rocks, you can avoid ALL of the shockwaves. You're welcome.
@@jaytico5835yea thats yi don't do that rookie move I save up all heavy attacks till then and I use pillar stance head shot and he stops and i keep it moving wit attacks
@@jaytico5835 another easy way is to open the menu once you see the shockwave, not sure if it stills works though since I only used it once long before the very first update.

I did everything except beat last stage of Final Boss and Secret Boss in the 3rd journey. I've already got all achievements, so I just downloaded some mods to make the game super easy but super fun and it's what I pick up to mess around for a couple hours every couple days

Sounds like you and I are aroudn the same path in the game. I also just made it to Chp 4 and I just finally beat the Yin Tiger. I'll tell you right now, respecing to the Cloud Step, critical hit build is the strongest I have used so far. Massive damage.
@@hubhub27 good luck man, he took me a good hour or two for the first kill too, now I can beat him with the willowwood staff and no spells though, he's a really effective and fun way of improving at the combat and removing panic dodge habits. Have fun with yellow loong in chapter 4 too 😂
I wish success like this would result in massive bonuses for the dev team. They all deserve a 100k each. If not more. They put their heart and balls into this and it shows. Its the most challenging interactive art-piece I've come across.
I'm in NG+ and have 1.2 Million Will. I literally buy everything that's for sell and still have so much currency that I'll never run out. So awesome that they added the Fine Gold Thread. I'm working on full completion atm.

First DLC around Chinese new year 2025 which is end of Jan is not out of the question, the game originally planned for 13 chapters then eventually got cut down to 6, meaning a lot of the elements have been created rather than having to start from scratch, the exploded popularity and revenue might enable a lot more talents to join game science. And the last thing is, China is fast at building things, there won’t be hours long meeting for DEI discussions either

I always thought the issue with 100-eyed (and maybe some other long legged enemies) is that their hit boxes might actually be a bit too good, and couple with how the character tends to target the center of the opponent, we whiff because of that open space where the legs aren't
Yeah, the hitbox fits his front too well, so there's a gap between his front legs where most of your heavy attacks probably would have landed otherwise.
Yin Tiger also sells *Fine Gold thread* in 1st playthrough. After fight final boss, If you select continue journey and go to Zodiac village. So you can buy Infinite fine gold thread and gold tree cores from Yin Tiger. Before you start your new cycle in a new game plus.

I’m hoping you can help me as I’ve only seen 1 other players have the same issue as I’m experiencing regarding the Ashen Slumber transformation quest. - I completed the Prince questline in Chapter 3 before going back to the NPC in the hut in Chapter 2. - I went back to Chapter 2 and exhausted the dialogue with the NPC and went back to Lower Pagoda into the cell where I completed the Prince quest. There was no Ashen Slumber laying on the floor where I could pull the sword out of him. - I warped to Upper Pagoda and ran backwards down the stairs and into the cell at the end and there was no boss to fight, nor was the Ashen Slumber corpse laying on the floor to pull the sword out of him. - I went back to the NPC in the hut in Chapter 2 to see if I didn’t exhaust his dialogue fully but there’s no one to talk to in the hut, so I’m sure I did exhaust his dialogue the first time. I’m wondering if this is a bug, because everyone else who had a similar issue was able to either fight the boss on Pagoda Lower Level in the cell, or was able to loot the corpse laying in the same cell. Can you please let me know if you’ve heard anything about my issue or know how to fix it?

They rushed to release it on August 20th, which was Wukong's birthday. It was their first 3A game and they didn't have much time or experience to make explore

On the timing of the dlc, it’s pretty much confirmed within the Chinese netsphere that it is coming around Chinese new year, so people have time to play. Chinese companies are known to work extremely hard, if I were to bet, I’d say around February
I'm so hyped knowing I have 83 gold fine threads. I can't wait to get off work tonight and start looking for celestial ribbons. It was crazy because I felt like I found less on ng+ and almost didn't visit yin tiger since I already got my 4th curio slot. I just decided to visit after Yaksha king. Glad I did
Yeah I turned off my connection and auto update. Kinda like the Focus glitch. Let's me fight more freely and the flow of combat for me at least is just more fun that way. I know I'll get bombarded with "skill issue" pretentious players, but I've beaten it legit multiple times so for me, it's just an experience enhancer that increases the flow and pace of combat

The reason it’s expected earlier is cause it’s already finished. It was just missing small things that the budget couldn’t cover for the main game. It was gonna be 13 chapters but shortened to 6.
I'm still in my first playthrough collecting stuff I missed. I've beaten every boss i could find and the story but still Yin Tiger does sell gold tree core and fine gold threads for me now
Am I in the minority camp when I say that I like Rock Solid much more than the Cloud Step spell? Much better MP usage and the uptime is so good! I finished my first run sticking with Rock Solid after I got it. On my 2nd run and trying out Cloud Step. I don't see why people would pick this over the other one.
from my experience its because I dont want to waste mana when i could just i-frame the attack, while c;oud step can be used to evade some sticky situations entirely
Simple I suck ass at timing and I'm really bad at paying attention to my health bar so I don't notice when I need to heal so I use it to heal and buff for the most part I'll probably mess with rock solid eventually but not until I get good lol
With cloud step, 1You move slightly faster, 2You can charge heavy attacks during the short period for sneak attacks, 3It becomes a get out of jail free card during those hard to dodge AOE attacks the bosses do. There’s only one con, and that is you’re not invincible in this state, you can still take damage if too close.
Cloud Step is useful for aggressive bosses who don't give you room to breathe. If you wanna heal or use Pluck of Many or a spirit/vessel, Cloud Step let's you safely use them.
Got my platinum trophy recently and it was so worth it. Going to buy both DLCs. Can’t wait for more gameplay and bosses. Love the updates they’re doing cuz they’re smart. Nothing redundant. Everything with purpose.
@@jumbydxwasn’t really hard ngl. Took me probably less than 2 hours to get all rng drops from clothing to seeds. I thought it’d be more time consuming but the drops aren’t that rare.
For the legs boss, yes he have sort of invisible walls close to his legs cause during beta test the testers got a strategy to bypass all attacks by going under the boss... They had to fix it quick... So... Added an invisible box under him... Side effects is it impacts the hitbox 😅
Wish they would have buffed the great sage Wukong armor from the chest. Considering it only buffs armor based on awakened slills, it would have been nice to give it 2 or 3 set bonus that also boost defense or something. I’m good with the rest of the armors but that one needs some lovin

they already had a lot of content they cut out because of budget and time. so they already have half of the work done, if not more. they just need to finish the other chapters they had to cut out. it was suppose to have 13 chapters as opposed to 6. late January is quite a possibility. also keep in mind these are not american devs who start their day at 10am and can't start working without their venti latte triple caramel soy milk coffee and clock out at 5pm. maybe people haven't noticed, but chinese people work hard, and if there's profit involved, they'll work twice as hard
If it wasn't for the Chinese government, I'd love to live in China. The people there are extremely polite, and they are absolutely hard workers. For game science, their first game is a banger.
If all they did for the chapter 4 boss was zoom the camera out that would be fine. The trouble I had with him was not being able to see his attacks cause I was focused on trying to aim for his legs
It depends on what will be in the dlc. If there is new spells and stances and enemies then no way in hell they can finish it in a few months unless they hire 200 more people.
Early 2025? I get that everyone wants an expansion but I really hope they take their time to do it right. No need to rush out am expansion now. We still have plenty of replayability and more and more people will buy the game.
first off I just SUB!! Secondly I believe they're going to drop little nuggets like minor releases to expand the story and new , armor , weapons and such. Just to keep things fresh. Keep in mind that the game was intended to be 13 chapters

I wish the game let you go back and fight all the secret bosses that you missed without having to play the game over. I don't have the time and patient. A lot of them if you don't start the quest they disappear.
I feel like some ppl take this challenge stuff a lil too serious. That is why I feel like they should have made different modes and made hard mode challenging the way it is now. I love this game but don’t care for the challenging aspect at all I find it quite annoying
Imho Rock Solid just blows compared to Clout Step (and the charged heavy smashes you can do with it). They should had allowed regular parry instead. I play with a mod that makes parry possible with a right timing.
After NG+ or for me before I finished Chapter 5 when the platinum dinged I was done. It was definitely nice to steamroll everything in NG+ after the trauma of NG, but I just lost interest in doing the same thing over and over with the linear progression. I'll definitely pickup the DLC whenever that happens, but I have no interest in playing Wukong again until then. The same thing happened with Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen, though LotF got more replay due to multiplayer.
People forgetting China SPEEEEEEED.... They do do things quickly, BUT if this is a rumour then obviously take with a pinch of salt BUT!!!!! They did quote say "DLC will not take as long as the 4 yrs to make" however do take with a pinch of salt!

The rocks can be broken very easily though.

Black Loong is a piece of cake, the hardest loong is Yellow loong

I'm waiting for DLC and permanent wukong stance with the armor set, hate the fact that it's locked behind charges and a one minute timer.
You have to beat the game three times and on your fourth new game plus Wukong stance is available

For this game to sell more than Elden ring is crazy, I do think Elden Ring is a much better game but Black myth wukong is still pretty awesome.

Idk if it was a bug, but I was just able to purchase unlimited Fine Gold Threads from Yin Tiger upon beating the final boss on my first playthrough without beginning a new journey.

On the timing of the dlc, it’s pretty much confirmed within the Chinese netsphere that it is coming around Chinese new year, so people have time to play. Chinese companies are known to work extremely hard, if I were to bet, I’d say around February
NG+++ is where its at and finally brings back a challenge on these boss fights
I'm so hyped knowing I have 83 gold fine threads. I can't wait to get off work tonight and start looking for celestial ribbons. It was crazy because I felt like I found less on ng+ and almost didn't visit yin tiger since I already got my 4th curio slot. I just decided to visit after Yaksha king. Glad I did
Was very satisfying 100% this amazing game, i left my monkey at start on ng+4 waiting for the dlc now.
I'm too scared, lol. I have mine meditating at the very end of the third run all maxed out (aside from 4-5 armors still Legendary).

Yeah I turned off my connection and auto update. Kinda like the Focus glitch. Let's me fight more freely and the flow of combat for me at least is just more fun that way. I know I'll get bombarded with "skill issue" pretentious players, but I've beaten it legit multiple times so for me, it's just an experience enhancer that increases the flow and pace of combat

The reason it’s expected earlier is cause it’s already finished. It was just missing small things that the budget couldn’t cover for the main game. It was gonna be 13 chapters but shortened to 6.

I'm still in my first playthrough collecting stuff I missed. I've beaten every boss i could find and the story but still Yin Tiger does sell gold tree core and fine gold threads for me now
Am I in the minority camp when I say that I like Rock Solid much more than the Cloud Step spell? Much better MP usage and the uptime is so good! I finished my first run sticking with Rock Solid after I got it. On my 2nd run and trying out Cloud Step. I don't see why people would pick this over the other one.
from my experience its because I dont want to waste mana when i could just i-frame the attack, while c;oud step can be used to evade some sticky situations entirely
Simple I suck ass at timing and I'm really bad at paying attention to my health bar so I don't notice when I need to heal so I use it to heal and buff for the most part I'll probably mess with rock solid eventually but not until I get good lol
With cloud step, 1You move slightly faster, 2You can charge heavy attacks during the short period for sneak attacks, 3It becomes a get out of jail free card during those hard to dodge AOE attacks the bosses do. There’s only one con, and that is you’re not invincible in this state, you can still take damage if too close.
Cloud Step is useful for aggressive bosses who don't give you room to breathe. If you wanna heal or use Pluck of Many or a spirit/vessel, Cloud Step let's you safely use them.
Feels like a lot of bosses neuter it whilst cloudstep is always good

Got my platinum trophy recently and it was so worth it. Going to buy both DLCs. Can’t wait for more gameplay and bosses. Love the updates they’re doing cuz they’re smart. Nothing redundant. Everything with purpose.

@@jumbydxwasn’t really hard ngl. Took me probably less than 2 hours to get all rng drops from clothing to seeds. I thought it’d be more time consuming but the drops aren’t that rare.

For the legs boss, yes he have sort of invisible walls close to his legs cause during beta test the testers got a strategy to bypass all attacks by going under the boss... They had to fix it quick... So... Added an invisible box under him... Side effects is it impacts the hitbox 😅
Wish they would have buffed the great sage Wukong armor from the chest. Considering it only buffs armor based on awakened slills, it would have been nice to give it 2 or 3 set bonus that also boost defense or something. I’m good with the rest of the armors but that one needs some lovin

they already had a lot of content they cut out because of budget and time. so they already have half of the work done, if not more. they just need to finish the other chapters they had to cut out. it was suppose to have 13 chapters as opposed to 6. late January is quite a possibility. also keep in mind these are not american devs who start their day at 10am and can't start working without their venti latte triple caramel soy milk coffee and clock out at 5pm. maybe people haven't noticed, but chinese people work hard, and if there's profit involved, they'll work twice as hard
If it wasn't for the Chinese government, I'd love to live in China. The people there are extremely polite, and they are absolutely hard workers. For game science, their first game is a banger.

If all they did for the chapter 4 boss was zoom the camera out that would be fine. The trouble I had with him was not being able to see his attacks cause I was focused on trying to aim for his legs

It depends on what will be in the dlc. If there is new spells and stances and enemies then no way in hell they can finish it in a few months unless they hire 200 more people.

Early 2025? I get that everyone wants an expansion but I really hope they take their time to do it right. No need to rush out am expansion now. We still have plenty of replayability and more and more people will buy the game.

An update I want, is being able to use an armour, but then choose what armour you have on looks like as a cosmetic

first off I just SUB!! Secondly I believe they're going to drop little nuggets like minor releases to expand the story and new , armor , weapons and such. Just to keep things fresh. Keep in mind that the game was intended to be 13 chapters
Wukongs patch gives buff while Helldivers 2 patch gives nerf.
While the rock tech for black loong is easy i kind of like the rythm of roll, then jump, and rinse and repeat.

I feel like some ppl take this challenge stuff a lil too serious. That is why I feel like they should have made different modes and made hard mode challenging the way it is now. I love this game but don’t care for the challenging aspect at all I find it quite annoying

Ng+ isnt as struggling as first playthru, u shld replay imo the game stories flowed better in ng+ without stuck on a boss for hrs❤
Imho Rock Solid just blows compared to Clout Step (and the charged heavy smashes you can do with it).
They should had allowed regular parry instead. I play with a mod that makes parry possible with a right timing.

After NG+ or for me before I finished Chapter 5 when the platinum dinged I was done. It was definitely nice to steamroll everything in NG+ after the trauma of NG, but I just lost interest in doing the same thing over and over with the linear progression. I'll definitely pickup the DLC whenever that happens, but I have no interest in playing Wukong again until then. The same thing happened with Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen, though LotF got more replay due to multiplayer.
People forgetting China SPEEEEEEED.... They do do things quickly, BUT if this is a rumour then obviously take with a pinch of salt BUT!!!!! They did quote say "DLC will not take as long as the 4 yrs to make" however do take with a pinch of salt!
I want a Black Myth Wukong 2 game where the monkey shatters reality with his powers. how it is supposed to be. not this weak ass kung fu moves. not yet has wu kongs cannonically correct power scaling represented yet.
