    Andy, Have you ever used a long steel. wood, etc, rod to find where a noise is coming from ? We use this to isolate a noise by putting the rod against certain parts and the other end to your ear to pinpoint the problem. Seems to do quite well in most circumstances. Great video !

    I wish I'd grown up on a farm like this. I think I would've been more quickly exposed to so much more than I did on a 100 cow dairy. We didn't have much of a shop, and I spent about 8 hours a day milking in an old 1950's double 3 parlor and another 3 or 4hours cleaning the barn and feeding cows, heifers and calves along with spreading manure. The odd things that went wrong took up the extra couple available hours. In the summer it seemed like about 4 hours a day of time left to eat and sleep. It didn't leave much time for working on our own tractors or trucks besides very minor stuff. I had to pick up my mechanical knowledge a little later trying to keep my own old trucks and skidders running in a logging venture on the side. Your people appear to have a big advantage working on a place like this. When we're young though you have no idea when you have it good. I'd give anything to go back to that 100 cow dairy in Westport NY. I think it's part of a golf course now.

    Hahahahaha "where's the trailer"... "where's the rear axle"... LOL
    JD6030, what a work-horse.
    Well, dayum, sucks to see that damage in the rear rear. I know you know what you're doing but, might be wise to just replace all the bearings in that rear. You were already pulling metal out of that one side axle housing. As I was taught, better safe than sorry. Might be extra expense but, cheaper than being on the road and she blows again. It just seems like you're not catching a break with all these breakdowns.
    So, when do we get to see the close-up view on the replacement tractor? Great video as always. Cheers :)

    Do you have any videos on John Deere 4960. We have one that the lift has mind of its own. Some days it goes up and will not go down, other days it goes and down numerous of times. We call it the ghost lift! It has been a issue for years. Deere has been out a couple times over the years but it still does it all the time.

    • @Matthunter0767
      @Matthunter0767 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think he has any videos fixing a tractor that has lift problems. I've been watching for around a year and also watched a ton of his older videos and can't remember any with lift problems (I'm assuming you mean the 3 point?)
