- Join along as we take a tour thru Lewis Farms in Sauquoit New York and get to see some of their operation and fleet of equipment including a 1974 6030 that had been gone thru front to back and made 100% new with a John Deere 619 engine in it as well. Thank you for watching along
I honestly love these farms that still use the old classic tractors. Nothing wrong with the new equipment just nice to see the older equipment still going. Hope you are having a great trip.
I could be totally wrong but from what I hear there is plenty wrong with the modern tractors. But I hear this from a bunch of old guys down here in Southwestern Virginia so take it with a grain of salt as these guys aren’t the most open to modernization, still really cool guys though.
Always nice to see old equipment working and the new stuff is comfy but comes with headaches for sure
@@DuffyAg yes they have a lot of headaches, too many electronics and all the pollution gear is overkill. Love these tours you take us on, much appreciated.
That 6030 is absolutely beautiful. 👍
6030 was Awesome, looked and sounded better than the day it rolled off the line probably, thanks for posting
Man oh man is that 6030 sweet what a beast
The 6030 is beautiful, redone better than when it left the factory!
Thats for sure how they should of been
Nothing like the sound of a turbo 466 in that 4255.
We had three 466s at one point, a 4440, 4450, and a 4455.
Those sound guard tractors were near bullet proof for us.
Awesome video ! The 4250 looked & sounded sweet . I would have loved to drive it myself ,yet the 6030 was the icing on the cake.😀👍
Was a good stop for sure
Thanks for sharing an amazing tractor !! Thank You Lewis Farms !! I would love to own both the 4255 and the 6030 👍
Beautiful tractors TY for sharing
Beautiful restoration sounds great, hard to find a stronger, tougher tractor, enjoyed the video
Absolutely beautiful tractor! Love 6030s
It's an iconic tractor for sure
They are very nice people👍 I remember Brad pulling there 6030 with the 619 in it at the county fairs and it kicked butt.. My family has a dairy farm in Vernon Center and have cousins that have a farm down the rd from Lewis on 12 heading twords Waterville... Love the videos👍
Thanks for watching they really are great people
Very nice fleet!
May be the most important tractor from modern ag. Helluva machine. Thanks for sharing.
Shifting gears is always fun 🤘🤘🤘
That was awesome! Thanks for taking us along!! Safe travels
Thanks for watching
👍😎wow what a great tractor 🚜 , show room quality !
I like the old iron still making a living! Another good video.
Appreciate it
Thats alot of beutiful machinery. They should be very proud.
It makes me excited just to see them in video thank u for recording this 👍
It was sweet to get to film them
Loved the video. Great content. When it showed up I thought you had bought the tractor. Thanks for sharing.
I wish someday I could afford something as cool as it. Thanks for watching
Geez, even the tool boxes are green lol. Great equipment for sure. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching
@@DuffyAg Thanks for replying!!!
Good looking tractor , what a brute !
Wow . Nice 30 series
That was an amazing restoration of a classic powerhouse of a work horse. For years, a 6030 was the largest tractor that I ever drove. I will never forget those days. I would love to have one of my own. Very much overkill for what I do but it doesn't hurt to dream. Thank you for doing this video.
Yes nice to have a dream maybe one day it will happen here’s hoping
Priceless tractor for sure!
Had a 6030 - it was a BEAST !!!
Nice Machine. I wish I was around that sound everyday.
Sounds so perfect for sure
AWESOME tractor 🚜 👍🏻
In my early teens I lived on a free stall operation in Amsterdam NY . My stepfather milked the cows and when I was old enough I started to work on the farm They had a 3010,4020 and a 5020 open cab but it had those same front tires ,what a beast I got to just drive it once from one farm to another about 8,10 miles what a dream. The farm is the Holloway Brothers, they sold off the milkers way back in 1975 and have just done hay and grain I believe. Nice place it was. Then I became a heavy equipment Operator and ran many big things.
The ones who custom chop? My buddy Aaron worked for a Holloway or still does out in the Amsterdam area
@@DuffyAg The farm is on Millers Corner Road. And they do have a website.
Amen to the classics beautiful tractor
Sharp lookin 6030! And sound really good
Had a 619 in it
Und wie
Как е възможно

Beautiful
That 7810 Duffy, get a hold of one of them sometime 😊
SUPER, SUPER TRACTOR, THANK YOU
619 sounds tough!!
To bad that's where it ends
Nice 4255! What ruins quad range is shifting ranges A,B,C,D while moving.
Duffy"s in love with that tractor. You should buy it.
My bank account wouldn't like that
Great tractor!
It truly is
Nicest 2 tractors are the 830 and the 6030, I always wanted a 6030.
Very Nice tractor
amazing
Some nice green, but I was checking out the orange (Ariens) ;)
Everything I drove was the old 2 cylinders, tractors like the 6030 was "the new stuff" the other farmers had. ;)
One of the baddest tractors on the tube
My bro has a 4840 with an 8 speed power shift which seems pretty rare around here too. Thanks for the videos.
4840 only came with powershift. We had one in Minnesota
Nice tractor
Nice.
Oh my 😍😍😍
Proper American monster tractor Chris
It's pretty iconic for America for sure
I never knew JD made any 30 series tractors with the 20 series cab on them.
Be interesting to see how long their farm has been in the family you only get farms that have been 200+ years in a single family on the east coast basically ones from the old colonies. We are a 200 year old ranch in my family this year started in 1821 in northeastern Oregon and if I remember right we are the oldest ranch in the west coast period some have been around longer but none that are family owned still I’m sure there are some farms over there that are pushing 300 years old.
I'm not actually sure how long they have been farming there but there's alot out here for sure that are 200 years or more
Pretty cool stuff. Hey what was the name of the pulling tractor do you know? I wonder if they pull with the New York tractor pullers association? It looks familiar
We good friends to have
Spent a few hundred hours on a 6030 back in the day. It would pull a 5 bottom plow or a 12 foot disk with no problem at all. My only complaint was the A/C didn't work all that well.
That green is treating them good just about everything is being worked on at double the cost of red don't want to hurt ur feelings lol
Haha they all are pretty expensive on parts
The 4440 has had a intercooler added or a engine from a larger tractor installed. MORE HP is always good.
What size rubber that 6030 have on back? Looked bit small. Could use 20.8 42 duals
Green tractor is the way to go
That 4255 doesn't have the stock turbo ;)
Lol! You said you were getting a planting tractor on a recent (May 2023) video and I'm tired and TH-cam pops this one up... startled breath and a sigh.
Now way that is brand new
That’s insane in so many ways
It's 20 hours since a complete 100% rebuild
@@DuffyAg
Ah! So more like 200 total. GDRFC…..
That thing is mint 👌 but I’m wanting to know what’s up with that pulling tractor???? That’s my speed 💪
That chevy truck has some serious rust LOL
cripes how do ya let a vehicle get that bad , i mean wash it and stay on prevention ffs thats terrible
Hey!
I don't think there's a tractor made that has more character than a 6030
Do tractors like that 4255 not have a foot throttle pedal as standard ? Never saw any
JD’s in the UK, even 30 series without.
Ever been out to good ol Montana?
Never have, some day I hope to
Why does that 4440 have a intercooler ?
What was the pulling tractor in the shed
There was a few that I couldn't show. They build pulling tractors for other people so there's some secrets
How much for the 6030? I WANT it!
How close are you guys to coming ny
I live in Massachusetts
I dont think ive seen an Iron Horse with a tan interior
I wonder if that excist some old jd 3640 4wd ????
I was going to say there’s no way that had 20 original hours to look that good
It's 20 hrs since 100% rebuild. Pretty wild
@@DuffyAg ģ
6030 shows up at the 9 minute mark
Wait, this is very much a wild guess, but were those for racing? like tractore racing? well don't answer eather way i just hope it not too stupid of a guess, with the "cab" i don't see it beaing used for much else
oh never mind, you said tractore pull in the video, that is pretty dope
you are in new york
So is this colbernts family farm?
This is Lewis's Colburn is good friends and painted some of this tractor
So it's not "brand new" if it's a 1974 and has been restored. 20 hours are on the rebuild...not since manufactured.
That is a aftermarket cab
Hi
If not 4" rear diameter axles, you have an "average" run of the mill 6030,,even with a 619.
Only if it has a power shift that's the only way to go for me and mine would be red anyways..
Believe there is only 1 6030 power shift out there. And it was not a factory option
@@DuffyAg I didn’t know they made one with a powershift. Pretty awesome. I prefer powershift over synchro but that’s me
Had a 6030 wide inner tires standard outer. Power house when running but it was a p.o.s.
There must be a court battle over the tractor that we cannot see, or it has been stolen from someone!!!
why cant we see...

In my view, a rebuild is not considered new, it is used rebuilt.
Id agree but when everything is 100% rebuilt and all the nuts and bolts and wiring and seals and bearings are 100% new id say that's pretty much brand new
I thought this turn out to be BS and I was right! Completely gone through is not brand new!
It's NOT new or orginal.
I know Deere has their last build 4020 (I believe it's right model) with ONLY 25 hours on it. It's just a Museum piece at this point.
What's up
Those are the hours since restoring it right ? Otherwise why would someone buy a 6030 and never use it ?
Yes they used it prior then did a 100% rebuild on it from every nut and bolt to seals and bearings put the 619 in it and the cab on
I got a brand new one just like it in some where along that time
sorry what.
Wow, I heard Rumors about Americans that they are Getting fat but you’re Film proves it…..
He needs to start using the tractor for firm work that’s what it’s for it’s not an idol.
What’s the big secret? Is it giving birth to another little Johnny
The 6030 is nice thats $100000 dolar tractor all day long no need to buy def
It still a johndeere it's nothing special
