Let’s not forget that Sammy is 76 years old and still KILLING IT!!! Unbelievable.
He was 72 when this was recorded, but yeah, amazing! Big tour coming up in 2024!
I've seen pretty much this exact comment on like 7 Sammy clips today, and it's true. Glad he's getting the love he deserves
Kenny ain't no spring chicken @ 70 y/o and Steve's the youngster @ 66!
Why are saddos so obsessed with chronological age?
It’s in his blood so is techela
Having been out drinking with Steve Lukather nearly 20 years ago I can confirm he is a hell of a lot of fun to be around and an all around nice guy, great to see Steve and Sammy together!!
I also had that great same experience with Luke here in Chile. We were drinking Jack Daniels with Luke and Simon Philips in a club watching a Toto tribute band play and suddenly Luke asks me: Do you know the venue where we are going to play tomorrow? Yes, I answer him. And Luke tells me, is it big? What capacity does it have? And I tell you, it is an outdoor arena very similar to the San Bernardino Amphitheater and with a capacity for 20,000 and it is sold out. Oh really???? So I'd better go to bed so I'll be fine for tomorrow!! Hahaha.
Blody liar.
Just one word boys!!!!!!! LUKE!!!!!!! That feel man!!!!!!! Love Sammy, but we're listening to one of the Greatest Guitarist of all music history, and that's a fact!!!! Luke has it all man, all of IT!!
Couldn’t agree more! ❤
Steve Lukather is one of the greatest players on earth..He is responsible for some of the greatest playing ever recorded as a session guy.
But for me, this was a bad guitar tone and the solos were way out of pocket.
Here.....he sounds like garbage. Facts! Lol
Love it! Sammy’s voice is still awesome!
Sammy´s voice it's unbelievable after these years
Love watching Kenny on the drums. Dude always has fun
Steve has always been a top shredder, Still is 🎸
Steve Lukather this guy is a living legend,,,,SO HONESTLY DOWN TO EARTH,,,Such a great inspiration,,,,,,, I NEED THAT INSPIRATION IT HELPS ME WHEN I PLAY AND WRITE. THANKS STEVE. - RJ
Steve was tearing up, outstanding performance by the band.
Steve is such a down to Earth, regular kinda guy with a great sense of humor along with being a great guitar player. Thats why Eddie loved him.
Steve's tone is perfect.
What a roomful of talent!
This is good stuff.
Hmm,I'm not sure about the tone...
Yep the tone was not good for my taste and his lead was way out of pocket.
He is one of the all time greats but this sounds butchered.
He was just trying to shred, something he rarely does these days! Probably very spontaneous...
Shit you tone gourmet chefs😆
What a terrific band they put together! Each one of them fantastic at their own musicianship. Sammy’s voice..spot on! Trev Lukather whaling at the bass….Kenny banging on those drums… course last, but definitely not least Luke on the guitar, brilliant as ever. Wish I could have this song by this group of guys on my playlist! Incredible by all! ❤❤❤❤❤
Good eye on Trev
I love these two gentlemen; class, humility, gratitude, and talent.
STEVE LUKATHER!...how can you not love that guy!...ADORE
One of my favorite episodes of rock ‘n’ roll road trip. I knew Steve Lukather was a great guitarist but man this is pure, freaking fire!!! I’ve never seen Luke play like that. That room must’ve been buzzing. And Sammy sounds great here!! The whole band were clicking on all cylinders here. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
It's heartwarming looking how they praised each other and humbly disagree with the praise 🤗🤗
Kenny is a beast. Luke is one of my all time favs and it's so cool to see Luke's son Trev on bass. Sammy Hagar still got it, too. Great stuff.
Father and son, Sammy and KENNY!
Absolutely, just love Steve’s guitar playing. Had that Toto CD so many times over the years, wish when I was younger I would’ve realized who and what a great guitar player, he is. Only from my 50s on my 60s here, can’t get enough of his music. Thank you.
Kenny Aronoff on Drums, the Man, the Legend!!
And some random long-haired dude is playing bass.
@@lsipahelutLukather's son
Draw the line?, that’s what happens afterwards man! How can you top that?!😂😂 Steve Lukather is an absolute genius. Not only is he one of the greatest guitarists of all time he is also one of the sharpest, quick witted cats I have ever had the delight of listening to during interviews and such. His sense of humor is razor sharp and his life’s work is extraordinary. Truly inspirational and fascinating guy 😎. Play on brother, play on!!!❤️🙏👍👍
So much fun to run across this. Geez, I feel like a teenager out in the garage with the local bands jamming. So much fun ❤ Luke was fluid. He shows up on (seems like) every other album credit list.
Just one word : Sammy ... that epic yelll during Luke's solo at 2.20
This jam should have a billion hits, rock on my friends.
The nicest guy in Rock & Roll is not Dave Grohl, it’s Sammy Hagar 😎. I love Dave Grohl, but Sammy’s the Man 🤘 Would love to meet him. Keep on rockin’ man 🎤🎸
There is one reason I refuse to have anything to do with Dave G
So great to see Steve and Sammy,Saw these 2 guys live, just amazing to see them together,I saw EVH too, love these musicians so much,Steve is so down to earth, funny, friendly and Sammy too, keep the good work,we love you forever guys, rock on! RESPECT
Sammy is my hero. I hope I'm still rockin when I'm 76. These guys sound great, no surprise. I think we can call this a super group.
Woohoo! Love the jam sessions. Rock on Sammy!
Sammy's voice works really good with this song. Luk is great. 👍
That may have been the best rock n roll roadshow ever ! Excellent interview Sammy ! Love Steve what a talent !
Man…that drummer… sheesh!!!! Keeps the train rolling and on track!
Kenny Aronoff! 🙌🏻 AMAZING drummer played with many talented artists, John Mellencamp, Bob Seger, Melissa Etheridge, Smashing Pumpkins, just to name a few! 😃
He’s 1 of the best so yeah
Luke hasn't lost a bit. Great playing, great tone.
Love Lukather...always a great presence and a real sweet guy in person.
Luke, you are truely unstoppable loved every note and tone brother!😊
Sammy is a guitar Legend as well, I was listening to him way before Vanhalen, Bad Motor Scooter, Space station 5, Rock Candy, Planet on Fire, Heavy metal song started an entire genre, and all ground breaking guitar! Steve is everywhere i go, somtime he blends into the wood work, or is the staff, sound guy you name it hes been there.
I have the album and bought it in '73. I think it was the year it was released. It will rock forever!
Sammy can play, but that was Ronnie Montrose.
Lmao Sammy did not create an entire genre of music, and definitely isn’t a guitar legend, never have I heard his name come up in a discussion about good guitarists, ever
duh yea I was there, you must be new generation, I listen to him 5 years before Van Halen, sammy played with Montrose, probably wrote half their stuff, have you seen Sammy on slide?.@@tommilitello198
Ronnie was good but Sammy good too, have you seen him play slide@@socalmacguy
I Love Sammy and the Rock and Roll Road Trip. ❤
Looking forward to seeing Toto in a few months touring with Journey. It's gonna be one hell of a show ❤
How great would it be if Steve and Neil Schon did something together on stage. That would be Epic!
Check out the Paul Rodgers live at Montreux 1994 DVD. Lukather, Schon, and May all played together on it.
This is a supergroup right here!
The bass player is really good but if Michael Anthony was in this jam instead, also adding some background vocals, that would be the true icing on the cake.
That's Steve's son on bass
Does Sammy have cancer? I hope not.
Yardbirds Forever.
Two legends in music.
What a wonderful time watching this video. Steve Lukather is a great guy, and awesome musician. Congrats Sammy
I want what Sammy and Steve are smokin. They never get old. God Bless them.
I love seeing these legends. Jamming in a small room like all musicians have at one time.
Now there's a legendary lineup.
Saw Steve and Larry Carlton play live at a small jazz club in Seattle. Mind blowing. I'm surprised Steve didn't mention him.
Two absolute giants, Luke and Carlton
Brothers Band,EVH,TOTO,so great musicians,I still believe it was à dream to meet these artists, life is à gift, music is à gift,so many thanks to them
In Brazil there's a saying... "Those who knows plays it live" !!! Killer!
Come on Sammy we need this band line up on road
Lukather combines traditional licks with his own creative flourishes so smoothly.
now that's an all star band right there
That was great! Thanks Sammy, thank you Sir Lukather.
Steve and Kenny just jump in and gel with almost anyone. This was awesome.
Non-stop epic performance. What a combination - Sammy and Steve. "..Beatles - my on-switch to life' fantastic quote.
Love seeing a father and son rip this up! So great
Jeebus, that version of "Crossroads" just kicked ass. Sammy's an old guy who doesn't in the least sound an old guy singing. I've been a fan since he was wearing silver foil pants in Montrose. And what can you say about Luke? None better. A true virtuoso of his instrument.
Sammy is the KING. His vocals are always on point!
Wow Steve Lukather...hot guitar...great leads...tone
I absolutely love this show and just how humble and versatile sammy is, what a voice and still at his age 👏 I always look forward to his jams with his guests(wish he would have played a song with halford 😔)
Cool seeing Trev on bass! Two for one Lukather experience!
Love how Sammy keeping rock alive
We Love Sammy
Steve and Sammy - two class act human beings and living legends in their discipline - the talent in that room - AWESOME !!!!!!!!
How the heck can Sammy still sound so awesome!!
Great tone on the guitar………………love that Hagar.
the rockmasters jam. just awesome!
God bless Steve and Sammy...what say more for these monuments of ROCK????
Luke’s list of accomplishments/musical credits is just amazing. A Legend. Sammys voice is still stellar! Keep Rockin gents!
This was EPIC
Luke..He inspires me to pick up a guitar every time I hear him being interviewed...Fantastic!!
This Clapton/Cream version of Crossroads is the one Robert Johnson would choose as his favourite. The rhythm guitar playing is brilliant.
I wanna be 76 like Sammy!!! What a great singer and musician!!!!
I like now the description completely leaves out whoever the guy playing bass is. Nice AXS.
Trev Lukather
Steve Lukather, I'd love to have 10% of your talent! And yep, you're funny too! Keep rocking mate!
2 of the best ever.
I think that was about good as I've heard Sammy in a long time. Great job. Luk, fabulous as usual.
Thanks for sharing this vidéo,the best musicians in the world for Me!
THESE GUYS ARE THE REASON WE STARTED OUR BAND
Hey everyone.Definitely awesome great player and he always feels the song and the solos are fit the song and the tone with feeling and let’s go in the groove smoking emotional energy
Man, Sammy can still sing in his seventies. Crazy.
Sammy, Steve and Kenny on the skins! Awesome!
So a Great Hard Rock Sound❤🔥👏So awesome collab👍🤘
Aw yeah I didn't realize this would be an interview! I thought they're just gonna play which is what I came here for but hearing Mr. Luke talk is always a treat and I've never seen Hagar interview him before so this really was a treat :) Sammy can still belt it out too :)
Luke is so underrated!
That's a BAND !
I’m fairly certain the bass player is Trevor Lukather.
It is indeed
The bass player looks more like Tommy Shaw or Geddy Lee
Luke is so freaking awesome. Dude just gives the everyman vibe even though he's accomplished so much.
Luke comes across as a genuinely good guy.
1:11
That run ⚡
'ell fkn Yeah! Every minute is joy!!!
Candyman !!!! LUKE !!!! Transition !!!! Lukather !!!!! The TOTO STUFF. What a songwriter. What guitar player and WHAT a singer !!!
I had no idea he wrote the tubes song
He is awesome
Now *thats* a proper garage band.
Love to the camera men, I would not know what to focus on. Best thing on YT!
2 legends
The Red Rocker still got IT!! My favorite rocker since '78!!
I see Steve is n the band…I have to listen!
Good Health to everyone in this video!!!
76 years young, amazing
Sammy has really developed a show with this Rock n Roll Road Trip!
I'm sure the bass player REALLY appreciated not even being MENTIONED by AXS TV...
That's Steve's son on bass
@@karendharrison Thank you Karen! I thought he kinda looked like Sammy!! I just find it disappointing, when people who aren't "famous," are treated like they don't exist.
Luv Sammy Hagars interviews and showmanship! Rock on RedRocker!
the bass player can't get over how good Steve really is..he's smiling 24/7 going WTF!
Bass player is his son actually 😂
Trev Lukather
Those 2 legends should not be allowed in the same room together they might rip a whole in the time-space continuum.
