3 starts in September?!! UFFDA!! That is ambiguous! Justine - I just got my fabric so I will be starting my Heaven and Nature Sing. Love how yours is progressing.
Congratulations on your milestone! I enjoy laughing with you during your visits (and seeing what you've been up to). I look forward to seeing how you work on your plans. Uffda!
One can never say UFFDA enough when cross stitching with friends--the fiber knots, the stitch doesn't lay flat enough, frogging, running out of fiber, etc.
Uffda, your videos are educational (such an interesting new word for a non-MN person) and so entertaining and I love all they patterns that get shared and the creative finishing. Thank you for being brave enough to put yourself out there one youtube for us stitchers to enjoy.
I so enjoy your floss tubes. Welcome Stitchery in Crystal Lake was my LNS for years. When you film in front of the wooden fabric shelves, it brings back fond memories. I have MANY cuts of fabric in my stash with the pink tags. It’s heartwarming to hear you talk about Monica and Lee in such a fond way. They are truly a wonderful couple and went out of their way with customer service. I am glad to see you are making a success of the shop Justine. Maybe someday I will be able to visit as we have friends in Minnesota who of course say uffda!
Congratulations on 3000 subscribers!! Keep up the laughter along with your beautiful stitching. Love the Prince chart also.Lived here my whole life and I’ve never used the word uffda onc until now.
Uffda is a word that I grew up hearing in my household in Oregon. My dad was born in Duluth. He didn't have it on his license plate but we heard it a lot. Love y'alls friendship! Take a sip ad Happy Stitching 🪡🧵😊
Love you ladies. And I also love the Cayman Jacks margaritas. I didn’t know they had other drinks!!! Must check those out. They are great when it’s 99 in the shade 😉
Greetings from Madison WI. My mother and her 7 siblings were 100% Norwegian, so the phrase Uffda was heard frequently in the family. In the late 70's or very early 80's I stitched Uffda along with a norwegian design for 2 of moms bachelor brothers. After they passed I did get the stitching back, but where it is right now I sure don't know. If I could ever find it, I would send a picture to you. You two have so much fun, very enjoyable to watch.
Being Norwegian, we use Uffda all the time! Day is long…uffda, something funny happens…uffda, happy/sad then it’s uffda. A more versatile phrase I have never heard!
You ladies are a hoot! I am a very recent subscriber; I found you through Chrissy (Finally a Farmgirl), and I am so glad she shouted you out! Here’s the problem: I am a Southerner thru and thru. I was born and raised (and still live) in Tennessee. I regularly say things like, “y'all” and “bless your heart” and “ fixin' to” and “Lord willin' and the creek don’t rise”. I wouldn’t know how to use Uffda in a sentence if someone held a gun to my head and were fixin' to pull the trigger! Still, a woman can never have too many project bags, so it’s totally worth a shot…🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Congratulations on your new your 3000! I enjoy watching you guys for your friendship even more than your beautiful stitching. As a New Yorker from the Bronx, I wouldn’t know anything about accents 😜even though my husband says I have one. I haven’t a clue what uffda means to use in a sentence but because of spell check I typed it 5 times before I got smart and shut it off. So uffda and happy stitching
I just started my first 1over1 on 40 count UFFDA! Enjoy watching your videos. Love the friendship and laughs. Sad that your not in CL anymore. my 15 minute drive now is 5hr47min did I say - road-trip.
I love your Apple Pie rolling pin, Justine. I have the "Cookies for Santa" rolling pin chart and was all prepared to make it last year. I even went to an antique mall and bought a nice green handled rolling pin for it. We have a new rescue dog, a young dog, and unfortunately he is a chewer. He took that nice rolling pin under out bed and destroyed it. So I will try again this year. Uffda!
Shelly, if you start that LaDDa sampler, you could have a new start each week for Sampler September! And then when you finish them, take the to the framer and get the bill, you can say Uffda! Justine, I’m going to go back and watch that WIP parade video and send you a list of the ones you said “I just have a little left”😄😄
UFFDA reminds me of my grandfather! He was half Norwegian/half Danish and although was born & raised in northern California, he said UFFDA all.the.time. My 16yr old, who never met him, uses it. Clearly it's a family thing!!😂😂😂
Ope! I’ll just slip this Uffda right by you! Thanks for cheering me up with another hot dish of a Flosstube. You both have some beautiful stitches yer workin on, dontcha know! Ya sure, you betcha, I didn’t get any stitching done during your show once again!
I didnt think we used the word uffda very much but roughly 31 years ago, my daughter finished up her business on the big person potty and gave out a big sigh of "uffda" when done. Her Dad and I laughed about that for years.
I am joining Shelly with Sampler September because I uffda, I am stitching “Though He Seemeth Sleeping” 40 count Old Sheep by XJuDesigns in fall colors. Hi Justine love the finishes and I’ll be ordering Rose Quaker shortly
Greetings form a Sconnie neighbor. I just started Newcastle Boquet and am almost as far as you. Uffda that border is beautiful doncha know. Would love to meet up for a stitchy doings sometime.
I had to look up the word and saw the phrase "What part of uffda do you not understand". I have to admit I still don't understand it. Thanks for your videos I really enjoy them!
Congratulations on reaching 3K subscribers. You are two of the most fun Flosstubers to watch. I am having trouble kitting up Red Deer Sampler by GiGi R. Shelly, please tell me what fabric you are going to use and the floss subs you use. I have considered just using DMC, but I am not sure how that will look compared to the cover picture. Stay well. Best, K
I am stitching it on 36ct. Confederate Grey by WDW. I am using all of the called for threads with the exception of Cidermill Brown (can't find it anywhere). I am subbing WDW Pecan instead. Have fun and send me pics!
Tks for a fun video. Not sure what UFFDA means. But fun to watch you laugh about it. Shelly reminds me so much of my sister. Shelly even wears her hair like my sister. I love all your starts.
If I only had a penny for each time I've either said or heard uffda! Not only one scandinavian family but two... plus all the extended folks-UFFDA! Makes my head spin. Anyway, I'd love to be put on your list for your November weekend stitch and for your monthly bags.
Hi Everyone! Hope you have a fabulous week. I Enjoy watching you so much. I just started cross stitching this year. And have learned so much and have enjoyed doing the projects I have. Although I finish one project before I start another, but am sure that will change in the future. UFFDA! There are so many projects that I like and want to stitch, but have got the patterns for YET, I keep seeing Shelly's progress on the Rose Quaker and I think that is going to be next on my list. (PS, I am from Nebraska-but I thought everyone used that word UFFDA)
Holy moly are you two cuties 😊. Y’all crack me up. I was telling my Hubble about it and he says if you need a goat to give away you can have 1 of ours. He is so sick of watching the 1 male trying to uffda the other male. So that’s quickly becoming a catch word for goat “stuff” 😂. Thanks ladies😂
Many of my relatives live by Bemidji, (and you know if your from Minnesota if you can pronounce that!). I grew up in Duluth and thought they had the accent. Uffda, is word used often in my upbringing. Uffda Mieda, is like a double uffda. I had an Uncle that loved to use that expression while playing cards. Happy stitching!
Love you both! I just moved to Florida from Chicago so the next time I'm back in Illinois will have to do a rode trip In Minnesota. What the Uffda is Uffda?????
I prefer What would Jesus have Shelly stitch? Congratulations on your 3k! 🎊💖 Wouldn't you consider your red scroll a sampler? Justine every time you show that September Saphires I just think wow! It blows my mind. The ffo spool is so darling 💖
I think you could easily add a goldfish, and a goat to the whistle stop stitcher pattern, esp if they are buy one get one! UFFDA!🤪
Not a bad idea!!
Love my stitching time with you ladies chatting and laughing away. Cheers!
3 starts in September?!! UFFDA!! That is ambiguous! Justine - I just got my fabric so I will be starting my Heaven and Nature Sing. Love how yours is progressing.
I started Though He Seemeth Sleeping. I want to add a motif of a small fishing boat tossed by waves, in place of what’s charted under the verse.
Uffda make my day when you post a video. Enjoy the time visiting and laughing and enjoying the beautiful stitching.
Congratulations on your milestone! I enjoy laughing with you during your visits (and seeing what you've been up to). I look forward to seeing how you work on your plans. Uffda!
As aways So much fun to see what you two are up to. When I watch you I see so many things I want to stitch UFFDA, I can not stitch fast enough.
I am stitching the prince HEAD. Uffda all the purple. I removed a large amount of the background. I believe I had 55% left after taking it off.
Glad you enjoy it!
I don't know what a Uffda is, but Im sure I could use it sometime, somewhere! Ladies it was great seeing you and your inspirations to stitch.
UFFDA my butt is sore from stitching all day. Love watching you ladies!
I so enjoy your floss tubes. Welcome Stitchery in Crystal Lake was my LNS for years. When you film in front of the wooden fabric shelves, it brings back fond memories. I think I saw that Uffda puzzle you were talking about. Someone was saying it would be neat to convert it to a cross stitch pattern.
Great episode ..thank you girls
Uffda - your laughs and giggles are infectious ladies!
Being Norwegian, we use Uffda all the time! Day is long…uffda, something funny happens…uffda, happy/sad then it’s uffda. A more versatile phrase I have never heard!

I didnt think we used the word uffda very much but roughly 31 years ago, my daughter finished up her business on the big person potty and gave out a big sigh of "uffda" when done. Her Dad and I laughed about that for years.
That is absolutely the best use of "uffda"...and at such a young age!!
I so enjoy your videos, y'all are a hoot. My husband would use uffda; "Uffda; another package from that cross stitch place"?
Ask him which he would rather say..."uffda, another package", or "uffda, my wife sure is crabby"?😂😂
I am joining Shelly with Sampler September because I uffda, I am stitching “Though He Seemeth Sleeping” 40 count Old Sheep by XJuDesigns in fall colors. Hi Justine love the finishes and I’ll be ordering Rose Quaker shortly
