Carl has most excellent taste in thread. His Christmas present to you was awesome. Your stitching is wonderful and I enjoy seeing your progress. Thank you for making another video.
What a wonderful, fabulous Christmas present. Great hubby, knows you well. A million stitches , crazy number. Always interested in seeing people's plans. Have a good fortnight. Stay safe🤗
Thanks so much for sharing with us. I am currently follow the Dark Sirens SAL and participated in the Chatelaine Watergarden SAL - my first Chatelaine ever. We will see how it goes. Happy stitching
Happy New Year 🎉 What an amazing Christmas gift from Carl!!! He knows you well. I love to embroider as well as cross-stitch, so I worked on a lap quilt that's embroidered with wild flowers while I watched your video. Happy stitching!
Hi Stuart and Carl! What a fantastic show of beauties! I love it all so much and you will adore the cosmo floss! I have pretty much switched over to it from dmc. My very favorite is CCW mainly because I was in a floss club for years and years. I’m sure I have all of it and purchase any new ones through the year as they come out ! I hope I’m alive when you get your huge ass wip done! A million stitches! Wow😂😮😂Happy new Year to you both!
This is my first time watching your floss tube. I really enjoyed it. I’m typically a monogamous stitcher, but have recently been coached into multiple projects at a time. I must admit it’s giving me nerves to have four projects on the go at a time. Thank you for showing us your beautiful work. love y’all. Keep stitching.
Another enjoyable Flosstube Stuart. Happy New Year! I stitched the Teresa Wetzler Millennium for my son. Something I found helpful was to take a blank card and put each of the symbols for blended threads on that card with punched holes to attach the floss. There were times I had the matched floss, but I didn't use a full strand set and would need the floss again in another part of the pattern. I started marking my working copy when I joined challenge groups on FaceBook. Now I use colored pencils and change colors with each challenge so that I can correctly count my stitching for a particular challenge. I'm working on Old World Map by Artecy for my son tonight. He says he is in no hurry for it, but he checks the progress every time he comes to visit. 😆
Enjoyed watching your flosstube! It's a snowy day here in Louisville, KY so I'm stitching and catching up on watching some WIP Parades. Beautiful stitching and I look forward to seeing your progress.
Hi Stuart, Happy New Year. 🎉. Yes I can hear you when you are showing the stitching. Kirtle, interesting description. 😊 I could never be bored with your gentle voice, way of describing things and the wonderful stitching you do. Enjoy your temperature stitching.😊
Congratulations Stuart ! Flosstube number 10 ! Here, started with 0 C and snow then rainy and warming up to 11 C by this evening and more that 23 mm rain ! Have fun with your temperature 100 stitches a day projects :)
Happy New Year. Love seeing your projects. Can't wait to see how the temperature stitching comes along. I wish I could do that but I work full time and am so exhausted I do not manage to get stitching in most days. Do you work from home? Sometimes I think that would be the way to go. Oh well retirement for me in a few years. Then I can jump on all the band wagons.😊
Hello from the St. Louis, Missouri area! We are having a snow storm too, great stitching weather!! I look forward to your videos! What a great present from Carl!!
Great to see you tonight Stuart. You always have such colourful projects. I love watching them progress. Fair dues to your husband, mine thinks I have to many threads & can't understand why I need/ want more 😂😂😂 Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Your husband did great with that stash 😍. Are the Cosmo metallics any easier to use than other metallics? I love the diversity of your stitching, I'm a happy rabbit or Christmas stitcher in the main but I enjoy seeing other people's choices 😊
Love your videos, Stuart, I so look forward to spending time with you! We do seems to share similar tastes, tho as I’m much older than you, I have to restrict my starts😂
Happy New Year from the Southern Hemisphere! Love watching your videos and seeing all your lovely WIPs! I'm stitching on Victorian Charm while watching!
Happy New Year. Stash buying diet happening here as well. I have done it before and it’s a great feeling once you get into it. Have a great week and Happy Stitching 🌸💞🌸
Love seeing all your projects, Stuart. I was recently encouraged out of my monogamy (!) by fellow members of a Patreon group I joined (Kat of Catkin and Lillie). I now have the grand total of three WIPs and am kitting up Modern Folk Embroidery's Fruits of Plenty and am so looking forward to starting it. Wishing you a happy stitching year!
Hello Agnes. I too have been coaxed out of one project at a time, which has been my experience for 30 years. I now have 4 projects on the go and it is giving me nerves. I will try, but may revert back. Love all, keep stitching 😊
i swore out loud when you mentioned the stitch count was over a million. that is so impressive! i'm working on a piece that's around 300K and i thought that was a beast, but it feels very quaint next to a stitch count like that. it'll be very cool to see that progress, however long it may take. also, what an amazing gift from your husband! i can't speak for the metallics but cosmo floss is a dream to stitch with. it's really soft and lovely. i try to use cosmo black/white instead of DMC when i'm stitching on linen because i'm annoyingly particular and the coverage is much nicer. i'm also working on an ink circles using a beautiful pastel mint/aqua color that absolutely does not exist in DMC. 10 out of 10, i think you'll really enjoy them :) edit: i'm working on the hip-hop origins pattern from the shaded stitchery. it's a gift for a friend and i'm nearly done. i can't wait to gift it to him!
Another fun video. Thanks for sharing. I’m working on the fabulous House series-Santa House and Castle. I’m stitching as one so since they are side by side I can switch back and forth if I get bored. Have a blessed 2025.
Hope you and Greg had a great holiday season and are enjoying the New Year. Such beautiful projects and hubby sure knows how to pick out Xmas presents.
Happy new year Stuart! Loved seeing all of your progress today. I’m also on a stash ban but it’s for the whole of 2025 I’m doing the stitch from stash challenge - so I can earn money for my finishes! Just wondered where your lovely hubby got the cosmo floss from? I’ve been looking for some cosmo in the uk for ages but could never find a retailer 🙈🙈
Happy new year! I look forward to your temp stitching progress. Nice work so far on the ornament & TCCS SAL. While watching your vid, I finished my 250 daily sts on my jellyfish & started my daily sts into Ready For An Adventure for the SSB Jan challenge. Kinda like temp stitching because they're not my main pieces for the day. - Kim H
Congratulations on starting the Temperature Stitching. I have started mine and I just love it. Jenn also got me hooked on it. 100 stitches doesn't seem like a lot of stitches but I keep mine out for 5 times and then it will get 500 stitches before I rotate it out with another WIP. For Christmas I got The Sorceress by Joan Elliott but I will be doing mine on 14-count Navy aida. I got all the floss and beads but I am missing 2 of the #4 Braids but I am not worried about it because the Braids will come later. I have not started it yet but hopefully sometime this year I will. Thanks for showing yours because that is what inspired me to ask for it for a Christmas Present. Carl sounds like a wonderful husband to buy you such wonderful stitchy things for Christmas. I am also on a no spending spree right now because last year I bought way to many things. We will see how long it lasts but I am hoping for at least 6 months. Happy Stitching.
Hi Stuart and hi Carl! ooh ooh if you are looking for fabric can you see if you can find anything for a bag that would be good for my Rome project please. One could never be bored looking at your wips!
Very enjoyable video, as always. Love all your projects. Love your Fabulous gift bag from your hubby😃 Good luck with your stash. Happy New Year to you and your hubby! Happy stitching!
Yesssssss I got another one sucked into temperature stitching!! 😂😂😂 for real though I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And I guessed correctly when you said “my biggest project” I was all…catching rays! Catching rays! YESSSSS!!! 😂 I can’t wait till one of my pieces passes go on monopoly bc it’s my Go wip! I already told you this but those flosses are amazing and Carl made some excellent choices. He’s right they need to go in the nether regions of the dirty piece 😂
Happy New Year, Stuart! I’m still reeling from a million stitches 🙈 And also that you don’t have to mark off your paper charts - now that’s a skill I would love to have! The wee fawn in the DG piece is so cute, a great pay off for all that confetti. I’m tempted by the temperature stitching. I’m up in Aberdeenshire so I don’t think there would be much variety initially, between 0 and 4 (including the minuses, -6 today 🥶) like you said but that’s maybe not a bad thing. I’d see more progress on a smaller number of WIPs. I’ll wait and see how you get on with it. Happy stitching!
Happy New Year Stuart. The threads your husband gifted you are lovely. I have heard of some of them but never seen them. Besides working on my wips each month I am doing ornaments for a stitching Christmas themed tree. Started Christmas Village Ornament by Demensions.
So many good projects. I’m working on winter Quaker by rosewood manor. Hoping to finish each in their season this year. This has been fun. Thinking of doing either the chatelaine fairies next year or mirabilia seasons-the ones that look like Alphonse Mucha not the Queens. Happy stitching!
Happy New Year! I have a new year new start: Of Dragons and Apples by Quaternion Creations on a grey 36ct coffee craft fabrics linen (she has a new website for after your ban).
I have gotten better at marking off my paper charts (I use colored pencils now & my finished chart looks real pretty). I think I got in the bad habit of not marking my pattern chart is because I needlepoint & embroider before I did cross stitch. Oh well, whatever works for you (& me).
Hi Stuart, I love your floss tubes, and you voice is very calming. I have a booklet of The best of Térésa Wentzler Fantasy Collection. I live in France, but am coming to England in April to see family. If you would like this booklet, please let me know and I will post it to you then. As a stitchy gift, it will be okay with your non buying 5 months..😂 I f you are not interested, it will be going to a charity shop.
Hi, so pleased you're enjoying what I'm sharing here 😊 I would love that Teresa Wentzler book please. If you want to email me I can share my address. That's so kind of you to offer me it
Im a brand new cross stitcher so have not mastered stitching and watching just yet. I am working on my Crochet Granny Stripe Blanket while watching though :)
Happy new year to you and Carl ! I hope you've had a fab festive period, your floss stash present looks amazing! Well done Carl! I've been trying a little crochet while I watched but am itching to get back to my stitching
Lots of beautiful xs ! Do you stitch a full cross each time or a tent stitch and then come back to complete the row? Large projects are way too intimidating for me tho I do have some. Mostly I stitch Mill Hill kits and because of that, I love incorporating beads into my other needlework, when appropriate. ~Elizabeth from California. ❤
Hi! Love seeing all your projects! I’m doing Catching Rays as well (it’s Jenn’s fault). I’m at 4.77%. At the moment I’m doing a page a month but I started at the top so it’s currently just a study in blue 😂
Carl has most excellent taste in thread. His Christmas present to you was awesome.
Your stitching is wonderful and I enjoy seeing your progress. Thank you for making another video.
Wonderful to see your progress 😊

I’ve crept up to 6 WIPS 😱 but sure do love seeing what everyone else is doing! So glad you were on Santa’s nice-list this year…😘
Hi Stuart! Really enjoy watching you!

Happy 2025 Stuart! Brave you doing a mystery SAL. I always worry I would not like them. Your wips are lovely.❤
Happy New Year Stuart. After any holiday period my Scottish grandmother used to say ‘ah weel, back to auld clothes and porridge’.
Happy new years, Stuart !❤

Enjoy your podcast, beautiful stitching, and patterns ❤

First time watching, loved seeing your work! I am currently working on Jolly Christmas Bell Pull. Still loving working on Christmas in January.

Thank you for doing this. Do you now of any store or website that may have a Tom Of Finland project similar to yours?
