4 V is one ghiff of 12v. So just divide 100k anx you get about 33k redistor.

I tried this out but it's not working. I flipped both the BC547 and the mic (pos & neg) but still nothing. If I supply direct power, the led comes on but not with the BC547 and 100k resistor connected. Any ideas? Thanks.

No because 10k resistor will turn on the transistor without mic so mic is used to push a signal to the base which turns on the transistor

@@ranjithm5268 it will work check the Transistor first then the mic u are using. Mic has polarity so you should connect in right polarity.
