"Keep the soft shells safe", means that you protect those who can't defend themselves.
Soft shell: any engineer or medic clone that's not on the field of battle
i personally would go for Rendili because thats where your fleet got destroyed last time so a little revenge would be in order :)
When you use the pride of core, build lots of v-wings for your fleet. Put a v-wing in the upper left box of the fleet so it jumps in first. Sneak the v-wing right up to the space station and pause the game so you can warp in the pride and plenty of support craft. Once the shields are depleted sufficiently, open up with all batteries using the pride of core. This will devastate the space station. I use this strategy every invasion and it is incredibly successful. REMEMBER 2 IMPORTANT THINGS: 1. If your v-wing dies before you bring in the fleet, you will lose the battle. 2. v-wings cannot hyperspace on their own, so you need transports. Good luck General.
sometimes on a planet if you have to much troops the entire army of troops will disappear but to get off the bugg you have to move the entire army off the planet and set it back up and move the other units/unit to another planet

i remember a fight on Bothawui. wave after wave of b1 and b2 sending in the civilians just to slow their advance. took about an have an hour before we were called its victors. honorific. just piles of dead. in all seriousness the most bloodiest day of any Star Wars lore has nothing on it.
the Bowthans may have lost their lives to steal the imperial plans. it was nothing compared to that almost genocide like battle.
I from that day foreword have yet to start up the mod again, and have a deep respect for the Bothan people

"Soft-Shell" was a term Commander Cody used to describe a clone trooper private in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Republic Heroes video game during the Battle of Juma 9 Station in the Naboo system.
shack use the pride to wipe out enemy space forces and station then move on leaving a cheap space unit behind as long as it there they cant build space allowing you to cripple the space forces giving you the edge
A softshell, is a young clone that is still in trianing, while a hardshell,or shiney, are troopers that have been deployed

make sure you remember to replace the units that die at each battle, before you know it, you'll get attacked by like 5 spider walkers and have only 2 clone trooper squads and a single atpt group defending!

i actually advise that you leave the core worlds until later, for those planets atre VERY well defended. i suggest u clear out geonosis, hypori, and rodia etc. and also wipe out the fleets above mustafar, kamino, rothana, and bothawui. for those planets are VERY valueable. then once the southern part of the map is yours, THEN move to the core worlds. then finally, you should sweep the outer rim.
A quick "shakedown" up at Aeten 2 sounds good, and then I'd say start pushing south. Rendili and Cato Nemoidia are both major CIS planets, within easy reach of your main fleet, and a potential threat to your core worlds. Just remember, RENDILI HAS A CANNON (it wrecked your fleet before). We don't know for sure about Cato Nemoidia, but it's a good bet it has one too, since it's such a major planet. After those 2 fall, I'd say knock out Bestine and the planets in that area. You should only need the POTC fleet for the first couple planets; a smaller battlegroup can handle it from there. Then prep your main fleet for a massive push into the south (the Geonosis/Kamino area) which should effectively end the war.
Your overall strategic concept sounds very good. One main fleet built around the POTC for the heavy offensives, a couple of smaller battlegroups built around a few Venators/Victories for quick response/cleanup, plenty of commando forces to scout and take out cannons, and ground forces with lots of LAAT support for the big ground attacks.
***A quick tip for land battles.. if you press "control" + "right click", your units will attack move to that location***

One thing I would suggest for the ground invasions is to stack those saber tanks. They are excellent for just running over droids so you can clear a ton of their infantry with a squadron or two of the tanks. Also you will notice that size comes at a price. The Pride is slow but if you get it into range there is nothing orbital that can stop it.

I had a smile on my face that contained equal to greater levels of largeness and stupidity than the last time I saw that an episode of this was an hour long.
If you blitz the orbit of planets, doesn't matter if you have ground troops. If you lock their orbits down it's a cakewalk, gather a massive invasion force and just autoresolve land battles to victory lol
General shack I have some strategy advic, first get all of the jedi you can build, next send each jedi to his/her battalions, then outfit them with tanks, artillery, and airsupport, also I do this while playing forces of corruption, make fighter raiding squadrons that consist of 4 ARCS and 4 of the main bomber since they come equipped with ion cannons, which allow other fighters to just shoot the hard points like nothing at all. Also if at all ppssible, get 4 fast fighters like B wings and Do not decrease anti fighter weapons by speeding with arcs while doing this since they do not have Capitol ships backing them up, oh I also suppose that if you want, you could send a Venator along with the fighters for cover.

You should put a ship in the top left highlighted slot. That will make it so when you warp in to a battle only that single ship shows up first. This will allow you to bring everyone else in as reinforcements. It's incredibly satisfying to warp in a ton of ships right on the enemies head.

Soft Shells are the nickname of non-combat clones. The are referring to technicians I believe. They have a yellow helmet and can be seen in the Clone Wars working on vehicles and directing fighter for launch.
But other wise sir for planets, secure the core then I think first hit Fondor and slui van for Capitol ship production then head south to free kamino and destroy geonosis for its factory capabilites

Also build sector fleets as well. For sector fleets I would built 2 venators, 4 dreads, 4 anti fighter, and the rest acclamators.
I would build artillery for kill boxes.

Arc troopers are like opposite delta, they do a lot of damage, but doesn't take much damage.

From my experience the Republic has advantage on the ground and commando raids are the best way to go. And the droids have space advantage.
Kuat is a capital ship building planet and as the Chancellor is there as well they are discounted!
A soft shell is like a clone mechanic on space starions you will see them on the game Star Wars Republic heroes.
You probably know this, but in case you dont, if you send your bombers to blow up the engines from the enemy ships when they retreat they will lose those ships, so its a good idea to put your fighter and bombers a little bit foward from your main fleet as they come out, so you can rush if they retreat with them, since when the enemy retreat they cant shoot back you can get a few ships that way
Shack, you should always always keep about 1-2k credits on hand in case of land battles where you need to upgrade structures and units. Also those heavily defended worlds you keep defending over and over again. Each time losing a few more troops.. you NEED to replace them, your free troops won't be able to defend all by themselves forever. Those planets are keeping a majority of the Separatist forces away from the core worlds. Imagine if those worlds fall, the Separatist will have a united front against you and you can expect a lot harder game than the one your having now.

Be very careful when using the Pride of the Core and your attack fleet, none of us want a repeat of episode 20(?). Aside from that, whop their shiny metal asses!! lol
I'm surprised no one has said anything yet so captain shack to make space battles easier press the red button where you see all your units for a missile barrage that your Venators fire out. It takes down those droid control ships like their nothing. At least last time I played that's what it did.

The phrase "Keep the it tight and keep the soft shell safe" is from the game Republic Heroes. In fact most of the lines are from that game. Anyways, the back story is that Obiwan and Plo Koon are at this republic outpost deep in the outer rim in an asteroid belt. While there, they are hit with a separatist ambush, and the station is under attack with no way of defending it. Command Cody and his squad of clone trooper is there as well, and they are sent to reinforce the shield. On the station there is a clone engineer (soft shell was his nickname) and Cody and his men escort him to the the shield generator and put the power to the stations shield. I played this game on the Wii a long time ago so this might not be entirely accurate. There is more to the story but... pfff too long to explain.

It looks a lot like most of your planets don't even have a starbase above them, never mind a fleet- That's how theyre getting in to hit you wherever they like. You're effectively giving them free access to your space unless you have something occupying the orbit.
If you put holding fleets over Anaxes, Carida, Corellia, and also take the orbit of Rendili, should pretty much mean that those are the only 4 places in the core that the CIS will be able to hit you with a fleet (until they break that line obviously)

Yay, I was the one who asked him to do CIS play through, if you don't want to do it, play another mod, or try supreme commander 2, it's another really fun combined armed RTS, sadly not a campaign as epic as this, but still really cool.

Definately secure the Core Worlds. You can defend the ground attack 9 times out of 10 and all you need to do is sweep up those fleets so yea have the pride of the core fleet (with the land force) and I'd probably go on ahead and get another fleet like you said with its own attack force as well and just sweep the seppies out

The legion you referenced to at the beginning is the mud jumpers of the 324th, slugging out on mimbum(don't quote me on the planet name)
Shack soft shells are new clones to the army.
Hard Shell= Armor. Soft Shell= Body.
Finally the core is in the fight sweet, I think for your ground forces you need to build more LAAT they seem to kick a lot of ass

I say you should build up an army of ARC Troopers put them in a large raiding group because you can and attack their main planet it will be where all their leaders will be.
Soft shells are clones without the standard battle armour usually being non combatants station staff clean up crew etc.
You have several special battalions awaiting on kamino, break through and secure Kamino. After that you will have access toall the griund troops you could want. Maybe have a couple arcs with them and a lot of armor, including air.mattress Then use them to take over the southwest. Move momentum downward towards kamino and then west towards bespin. Train Luminara and Shaak Ti and put them in this attack group, a couple jedi wouldn't hurt. General Kenobi-212th attack battalion, General Skywalker 501st Legion, 327th Star Corps- General Secura, 442nd siege battalion-Luminara/Yoda. Some field commanders couldn't hurt either. One last thing, for the special battalions take one squad and put them in a safe spot to avoid being killed. That way a bombing run or orbital bombardment won't demolish the entire unit and you will be able to save them.

You need to cap the core and have a strait attack path from north to South and eliminate all their important planets
Shack after the inevitable victory of the Republic you should check out the ST:EaW mod "Thrawn's Revenge". Its set after the original movie trilogy and in my opinion its an absolute blast!

You should build more VENATOR Class Capital Ships and then form a fleet of venators with the pride of the core
More capital ships, and then an overwhelming ground force.
Use the guard stance on your v-19 torrents so you have a rear guard action and the v-wings for offence

Those Spider Walkers really are kicking your ass. You need to build some AT-AP's and/or AT-TE's to deal with them. I would reccomend the AT-AP's more since they are much more mobile than the AT-TE's while also being cheaper with pretty much the same firepower.
Really, you just need to fall back to turbolasers or anti-vehicle turrets and not try to swarm them with relatively light units. The tank/AT-PT combo you used in the Tatooine battle worked well, but Yavin 4 was an absolute mess.
the plan is Genius it will work and use your new space fleet to take the skys back from the cis.

Not really a strategy thing, but it would be super cool if you put all the canon units with their canon commanders. Like the 212th with Obi Wan and Cody.
you should move Palpatine around the planets to make units cheaper rather than keeping him on Kuait all the time... the turbo lazer on Corellia could bee cheaper

TheXPGamers Have you tried making use of the little yellow square when organising your fleet? If you put a unit in there and take it into a batlle it can be used VERY effectively. Other than that the series is going great.
shack build a stack of 100 light frigates(the pink ones) and send them at any fleet they tear through lucerhulk battleships if you dont want to do this then build 25 dreadnoughts and send them in if you dont want to do this them build a 16 venator fleet as it is the best you get 96 fighters and 32 arcs
