    here is my tactical advice:
    planets to take: any planets with a level 5 space station can build capital ships so you should try to remove that ability from them. also geonosis would be good as it is a fortress world capable of building heavy ground units. (and it can be a cash planet)
    units to build and not to build:
    the space units you NEED to build are:
    1: Venators and Victories: these are in the top 5 best ships in the game. with the venator being tied with the providence. they both are powerful ships with great range and power.
    2: Carrack cruisers. Carracks are GREAT for defense against fighters and do so FAR better than acclamators and light frigates. and they are fast as well.
    the space units you DON'T need to build are:
    1: Acclamators. these ships are like paper mache' the ONLY reson you build these are for fighters in the early game. NEVER build these once you unlock venators.
    2: Light frigates, these ships are fast, and good at taking out fighters. but once you unlock the carracl cruiser, they become obsolete. still good for scouting though
    3:dreadnoughts. these ships are POWERHOUSES in early game, but now that far larger ships like lucrehulks are being used, the dreadnought will die while the venators and victories keep shooting. they are still good for planatery defense though.
    Ground units to build/not build:
    the ground units you NEED to build are:
    1:At-Ap's. don't get them confused with AT-Pts, these are some of the best ground units in the game, they are fast, powerful, and they have impressive range. they can easily shell any unit to oblivion. i would suggest building these instead of artilery due their cheaper price, greater speed, and faster rate of fire.
    2: Latts and Arc troopers (no need for explanation)
    3: At-Rts. these units are fast, good at taking out infantry, and they can cap points. i suggest replacing AT-Pts with these. even though they have less health, they will dish out more power and are overall more useful.
    the units you DON'T need are :
    1:At-pts. At-pts are the worst republic ground unit in the game. they are slow, weak, their rate of fire is terrible, and they can't cap points. they are good at the start of the game but almost EVERY unit out-performs them in every way.
    2: Saber tanks. saber tanks just can't take hits, and once you start seeing powerful units like OMG spider droids and HMP air wings (droid gunship) they won't even make a dent. they are OP in early-game, due to their speed and rockets, but they just won't be useful for anything but planet defense now.
    3 :Artillery. these units are GREAT for planatery defense, and wil WRECK anything that comes close, but they are slow, and easy targets for when you are on the offensive. At-Ap's and At-Te's will fulfill their role in invading planets far better.
    next. a good overall strategy for winning the war would be taking out all manufacturing planets. if you see a planet with a level 2 space station and a few measley droid squads as ground defense, ignore it. it will cause you no trouble. target planets that have level 5 space stations, and heavy ground defenses. for if you have a level 5 station, you can build capital ships. so once you have disabled them from building advanced units, SWEEP the remaining weak planets from the board. you can use heroes to scout planets to see what defenses they have.
    and at abreagado-rae i reccomend you either auto resolve, or you send in JUGGERNAUGHTS. they have point defense cannons and have heavy armor.
    and shack, you need to stop forgetting about units that you have built. TWICE i saw you looking for the 501st and they were right in front of your nose building at kamino. and you have LOADS of ground units at courasant waiting to be used. and sell all of your At-Pts, saber tanks, and acclamators. it will give u a nice cash bonus. ;)
    and that is my tactical advice. i really hope this helps a lot because i LOVE this series and i love it when a new episode comes out. so anyone is welcome to share their personal strategies as well for some may even be better then mine. so like it up so the general can see!

      how do you sell units? this would help me immensely, i've just been taking all my obsolete units and forming huge suicide scout battalions to try to raid a planet before the GAR hits it...

    Captain Shack, I recommend that you send at least 6 squadrons of ARC troopers to Abregado Rae to secure that landing pad so they can build AA Turrets. And since ARCs are pretty decent at taking out those CIS gunships, they shouldn't have a problem holding. From what it looks like from that massacre, Abregado Rae appears to be mainly air units. AT-TEs and other such slow units might not be needed until the air units are destroyed. So I say have a ton of ARCs and AT-RTs to quickly sweep around and build as many AA Turrets as u can before you send in the main attack force.

      ARC Troopers might be good at that, but there are too many gunships for that to be tenable. The AA turret will be destroyed on the first pass.

    Sir! New intel from other Republic forces!
    The planet Bonddan in the Eastern fringe of the galaxy, spinward of the CIS strongholds, has a habit of remaining neutral in galactic conflicts. If you send some troops to secure it you could gain a vital component to completing the trade lane that runs through your planets. Capturing this world is a low-risk/high-reward operation that must be undertaken.
    Also, many of your worlds are in bad shape and in desperate need of more facilities being built. In addition to most of your worlds lacking proper space stations the planets Yavin IV and Bestine require additional ground facilities, with Bestine not having a single barracks or soldier to speak of.

    IMPORTANT. When fighting HMPs, you have to select your gunship, then rightclick and drag over it in the direction you want it to face (a bright green arrow will appear). Have the gunship face in the direction the enemy gunship is GOING to be. This is crucial, as when the HMP passes in front of your LAAT/i, the latter will fire A to A missiles at it, taking it out very quickly. The trigger for this attack is very touchy, so that is why you need to do it the exact way I said. (If you are interested, Shack, the LAAT is my favorite star wars vehicle, so I know a lot about it. Canonically, it carries 4 air to air missiles under each wing). Apologies for the ridiculously long comment.

    Sir! I am very glad you paid attention to my hints regarding space stations! But now that we are on the offensive, the enemy will divert their unit production into the outer rim (Top left and left of the map) since they lost the west front. Our troops in this area are laughabliy thin, and only the heroism of the garrison clones could save the planets if they are attacked. I highly recommend reinforcing those planets with Ground units and better bases, Captain Shack Sir!

    Shack you need to standardize your ground forces. Recently you have had a mush-mash of forces that don't work very well at all together. You need to have at least 1 large clone unit(501st, 212th, etc.), at least 5 arc squads, 5 AT-RT units, 1 AT-TE, 4 gunship units, 2 clone trooper platoons(as reinforcements), and 2 artillery units. This outline is just a starter though, as you move to harder and harder planets to take you may need to double or even triple the numbers listed above. Also you need to stabilize the lines to the north, one separatist offensive up there means that the CIS is standing on the doorstep of mygeeto and all you core worlds thus cutting off your main production and credit producing facilities. This could spell out you ultimately losing the war.

      Yeah Mygeeto has the ability to build a level 5 space station so that's one more Capital shipyard Shack can use.

    Shack, at the end, you weren't paying attention to the fact that it states at the bottom of the description "strong against" and "weak against." Those juggernauts you were thinking of using say they are "weak against" the CIS aircraft. I love this series, but tiny things like missing that can cost tons of units, credits, and clone's lives!

      What he needs to do is buff up his defenses on all of his planets. Space stations, fully functional garrisons with full complements of ground troops to defend them (clone troopers, walkers and maybe even some artillery units for defense).
      Space stations need to be built AND upgraded to their highest possible settings so Shack can defend properly.

    Not that it will get seen but at least with the normal game. (and most mods) You have to build up to the heavy factories, so you build barracks or light factories, then from there you go into heavy. Another thing is they will build much faster if you stack them up. What I would do is have 3-5 barracks on one planet. 3-5 light factories on another then 3-4 heavy factories on one other. Much faster build times. The mod could have custom buildings but I'm pretty sure the same rules apply. You'll need to build one of each building type to be sure. They will tell you "Must have X building"

    My advice for taking down all those HMPs is to build tons of Arc Troopers, Plus LAATS and Juggernauts. First? Land your Arcs first for the HMP aren't good against infantry, have few capture points and build AA turrets. Then once you've taken down a few? Reinforce your Troopers with LAATs to give them more air cover and scout ahead. After words? Land in the Juggernauts to help tank some artillery and protect your troops. Hope this helps! Now go on commander Shack! Do not hesitate! SHOW NO MERCY!

    Shack you need an army of high HP infantry. -> Capture the many points surrounding the drop off and build anti-air and when they destroy the turrets rebuild. Just keep throwing in new battalions (or Spec-ops if they have a heigher overall HP, but I think at least the 501st would be very cost efficient.), until all those ships are brought down

    Mechis III, Kuat, Duro, Rothana, Mustafar Cardiac can build heavy units. They just need the factories. Also, take advantage of your resources and read the planetary descriptions. They tell you whether or not the planet is capable of producing capital ships. Some planets you need to take is Sullust. It is a gate way to 3 other planets that the CIS control, including Endor.

    Shack I do believe the only option is to wait for Delta Squad and do a raid, be sneaky and get around the enemy, send in a Jedi as well and with them just huddle up next to a medical emplacement so when delta squad is detected, you just have to outlast and survive the raids as they are destroying the aircraft, it might be ggod enough, and if you want you can send in ARC Troopers alongside them.

    Shack, the following planets ( as far as i am aware of) Bespin, Rothana, Hypori, Bestine, Rendili, Corellia, Sullist, Sulis Van, Fondor and Geonosis can build Capital ships, as can every lvl5 space station. In order to build heavy ground units you need to build heavy factory's, try building as many as you can

    Hey General Shack use an Elite Quick Group formed by Deltas and a huge number of ARC Troopers. They have enough mobility to evade the air units. Try to get a Build Pad and create an anti-air unit. Put a Yoda in the group so you can have an entire view of the enemies forces. Regards, Pablo.

    ARCs. Lots and lots of ARCs. On Fondor you saw how useful they were against the Confederate air power so build a whole ton. A lot will die but if you can keep a good stream going along with some cannon fodder armor like AT-PTs or AT-RTs, you may be able to inflict heavy casualties on them. Even if it takes more than one battle to do so.

    Jedi Master Shack, the 501st seems to be back on Kamino for some shinies. Recommend they get moved out asap to help hold Yavin 4, which just lost its barracks. Better start digging in again.

    For that big battle, make units that are good or that you have found good [ARC Troopers] at taking out those air units. The best attack strategies is to get a lot of those units and right when they land, run like he'll. That'll take multiple tries though. But if you don't want to deal with that planet right now, you can blockade it by leaving 2 Venators and a little support fleet.

    Abregado-rae is going to be a bloodbath of a fight any way you take it, so DO NOT send in the heavy ground units. Gunships, Arc troopers, anything that can fire upward VERY quickly, send in. Once those air units are down, then send in everything else. Btw, ever heard of a Base Delta Zero? I know I mentioned it before but it's pretty much the same situation as the last time I did.

    Delta force seems to have the most health and a field medic a backup of arc troopers might be good as well. Be sure to keep them spread out and moving

    Hey Captain. Abregado-Rae is going to be hard to take no matter what units you use. Even if you spam arc troopers you will take heavy losses. Another option is to just leave a ship over the planet and then move on and just let those enemy air units sit there cut off from the rest of the separatist planets.

    Commander, I would recommend you send a large force of ARC Commandos to Abregado-rae, to deal with the separatist aircraft. They have proven their ability to defeat such units in the battle of Fondor, and I believe it would be a wise tactical move. In addition, I would attempt to build AA turrets near the landing pad, to help defend against the aircraft.

    I see you letting planets with just ground forces In orbit alone I suggest building 170s to deal with hostile ground forces in orbit if they have no actual combat ships to protect them because it's wasting time otherwise

    1. More victory class cruisers, and more dreadnaughts and carracks.
    2. Put galactic game speed down. Movement and reaction become more feasible, without compromising gameplay (because you can speed up, regardless).
    3. Hunt down the Malevolence, torpedo attack on both special weapons, and it is simply a Lucrehulk+
    4. Consolidate the route from Kamino-Tatooine-Naboo-...-Bespin.
    There is a planet that removes all negative weather effects when captured. This way, you can form small defensive lines around cap points, using ARC, Artillery and some Anti-tank units (ARC with EMP also useful). This means you can easily defend and consolidate, moving from point to point without too many losses.
    * cap those buildpoints! VERY cheap, and a rear line with AA and radar can make ARC + arty very powerful
    * the AI has a lot of cheap units, and throw civilians and free droids against you, so expect a slow but steady stream of enemies.
    * dont bring in the LAATs until you have consolidated the immideate landing area. They will be lost to their stronger air unit, or unexplored AA turrets (which means you will lose an aircraft to something that cost 20GC)
    Once you have learned this strategy, prepare to strike using a stack of heroes+ ~20 ARC squads. If you micro (perhaps lower the battle speed) their (non-autouse) EMP and minefields, together with a radar and AA, can whittle down their air units, allowing you to take out the base, HVgun and thus their (lvl5) space station. Again, this is done using the tactic of steady consolidation. Holding and defending the buildpads is absolutely vital.
    After this, go for Mon Calamari and their nearby cap ship production. This can be done via Kashykk or the nearby hyperspacelane from the core.(Assuming you don't want to destroy them instantly.)

    Hey shack, since you seem to like the clone wars so much, maybe you should read the Republic Commando book series. They take place at the beginning of the clone wars, and continue all the way into the beginning of the empire.
    They are by far the best Star Wars book series.

    You can manually target bombers with the Turbo Laser Tower. You can build Heavy Vehicles at Carida, Duro, and I think also corellia

    You could drop in a mob of AT-RTs and since they can capture reinforcement points and they are fairly fast, at least one of them will make it to the reinforcement points then you can drop in another mob of them to finish the enemy base off.

    That isn't a Jedi temple on Yavin, that's actually a Sith temple. Also, what you keep thinking is a shield generator is actually a power generator

    Since Rothana (the planet below Kamino) is a planet you can build mining stations on (I would say use all four slots of ground buildings to do so lol, the more money the merrier) you might want to protect it since that area is kind of unstable, with just ground troops or ships in orbit. I would also say that Kuat should have some heavy ground unit factories since Palpatine is there (allowing you to buy them for a lower cost). You might want to free up Kashyyyk since the wookie war parties are extremely good at attacking.... well anything. As Dom Lee Pointed out, Arc's are good at taking them down so maybe just send a bunch of them over as well, or maybe try the Juggernaut (it say's it's weak to the HMP gunships but I don't know how accurate it is).

    the Sabers are great for cannon fodder and anti infantry if you don't mind Micro...
    they can run enemy infantry over... and they have a swarm method that kills just about everything...

    ARC Troopers seem to fare well against those dropships and it also helped that there are three build pads where you can build anti-air turrets, which is what you should have done as soon as you saw that first dropship.
    I cannot stress enough the fact that you need to build space stations on all of your planets to completely stonewall any Seperatist ground forces.

      It appears as Separatist space control diminished they are becoming more reliant on sending ground forces to Republic planets that don't have any orbital forces. Building a space station on all your planets will force (heh, see war I did there) your enemy to commit what space forces they have left to try and destroy your defences. This can actually work to your advantage as you can manipulate their behavior and crush whatever pitiful attack they can muster.

      I would also recommend an entire battalion of ARC Troopers led by Delta Squad and Yoda to go ahead of your main assault ground forces. As for your ground forces I would recommend in addition to AT-TEs, I would suggest 1 of each special division of clone troopers such as the 501st, send your infantry in ahead of your more costly units and build anti-air turrets as soon as you know those dam drop ships are there.

      I would also recommend building a medical Droid anywhere you have infantry as to keep them alive. To my knowledge they don't appear on the map but instead provide an auto-regen buff to your troops.

      Knock out Geonosis space presence so you no longer have to worry about raiding parties from either space or ground forces and for fuck's sakes build and upgrade all of your space stations so you don't have to worry about getting blindsided by the enemý. And build listening posts while your at it, you may not think you need them but you have been caught off guard before and payed dearly for it.

      As for space forces bulk plenty of Venators, Victories, and Carrack class cruisers and MASSIVE wings of ARC-170 fighters to crush enemy fleets in both defensive and offensive engagements.

    at 33:42 you lost the barrack on yavin 4. if you want to keep holding that planet you will have to rebuild it. as for abregado-rae ....... i think you should match them with LAAT`s.... LOTS of LAATS.i saw someone recommend juggernauts but i don`t know how many points it costs to drop 1 in. and if you can only drop 1 then i don`t think it`s worth it because they will do a lot of damage to it while it`s in transit and by the time it manages to fire it`s toast. i also remember in previous episode`s not doing so great against just 1 of those flying things...... also.... you`ve already seen how good arc troops are against those things and they only cost 100 credits.... send 20 squads of arc troops and they`ll clear it out. that`s 2000 credits.... 1 juggernaut is 2200 credits. but make sure you have a lot of backup because if you do manage to destroy the flying units but lose the battle without taking out their factory well.... so go all-in. i would recommend waiting for yoda and some of the other heroes

    The turbolaser towers can target the air units (not bombers though) if you tell it to attack it.

    If you use wookies to defend or attack make sure to have at least one normal clone unit becouse wookies do not count as actual units. If you come in contact with one of the mod authors I would suggest to fix that bug.

    Hey there dude, I am a big fan but at this point I would attack the outer rim and the far out worlds near Yavin 4. if you want to attack that heavily fortified planet I would attack it with small groups of Arc Troopers and make them run and capture a turret thing and make an air defense and move the Arc Troopers around and use them as little trolls.

    Take the quick capturing units and build anti air turrets but you will have heavy casualties protecting them lose lose situation but it must be done.

    There are 2 capturable points to the top left and bottom spam arc troopers in and then build anti air on those points

    Try using the juggernauts on the planet but send in some soldier to keep the gunships busy wile the trucks come in then use them to hold off the gunships while the soldier move in on the base (keep an eye-out for turrets as well)

    212 is commander cody's squad, you should use cody, kenobi and the 212 in the same place. same with the 501 and anny I believe ( I may be wrong) I think the 442 belongs to yoda. but like I said I may be wrong

    Build more ships in the outer planets u have plenty of cash so bolster your ground armies. That way they may win the so ace but not the ground

    take your potc (pride of the core) fleet north east+a good army to rap around that area and build like a fleet with 5 venators they are extremely good fleets and take that fleet and defend with it.

    when you click on a planet it should say something that will let yo see whats on the ground. (its above where your units are at.) and you will see little white squares and those are defensive points for turrets(AA-AAA ANTI INFANTRY AND SO ON) also you need to use attack move alot more never just use a basic move command always attack move.

    Uhh dont you pay attention to the 'weak against' portion of the init description? I never had this problem cuz i always had my ARCS take care of them. Never seen THAT much air units on one planet though. That is pretty crazy.

    Do not use Juggernauts against air units. You need to read the description beneath each unit where it states what it is strong against and weak against. Juggernauts are superior to enemy vehicles and infantry, but they are nearly defenseless against gunships. The only way to deal with air units is to build anti-aircraft turrets immediately. If that doesn't work, then don't keep funneling units into the meat grinder because you will only take more losses. I know you have the advantage on the CIS, but the war is far from over. The CIS still controls Geonosis, Mandalore, and several other production planets that continue to churn out capital ships and large numbers of land units. Do not underestimate the enemy. I would focus on defending the core worlds by making sure that each planet has some land defenses and a shipyard. Bestine, Fondor, Duro, Corellia, Foerost, and Mechis III all need to be upgraded to level 5 space stations. Then they will be able to build Venators. Overall, pay attention to the little details because small mistakes can be extremely costly.

      Also LA-AT are your best bet when assaulting planets. They're fast and powerful. Saber tanks are good for hit and run as you've discovered already

    Send in 8 squads of arcs and 3 teams of AT APs and auto resolve until you take the planet, because if your not the CIS, your dealing always with hundreds of civilians and gunships, with a shit tonne of droids, I always just blockade it and leave it till the end
