Thanks for taking a look. Our niche is riders who want something different, powerful, color choices and in the frame styles we offer. Its a very small niche. We would not even be in business if it wasn't for the Lectric ebikes getting 100k riders on the road. They bring riders to the sport and we offer riders sleeper bikes if they need or want something in that segment. As detailed as our customers are with their requests we really just poll customers and build models based on their feedback and then we are perpetually sold out because they buy the bikes they asked for. Lectrics are great starter bikes and part time bikes for the masses. Although our bikes may cost the same as three XPs, one would have to consider if three orders of steak fries is as satisfying as a steak and then make a personal choice from there based on budget and needs vs wants. This country is about freedom and choices so its an honor to be able to be in business and offer riders some of those choices.

Isn't that apples to orange? Gas powered street bike vs an all electric Ebike that can go off-road? Not like this EBike is trying to cater to the same Honda Grom crowd. Just saying.
Lmao right. But you can’t take a Grom on the bus or metro, easily lift it upstairs into a home, fit in a trunk and take it with you on trips, ride on trails, ride without a license, ride without insurance, get a workout on, pedal when it dies, help the environment, ride in bike lanes/sidewalks, be easily and cheaply worked on when maintenance is needed, etc. I see what you’re saying, but as a motorcycle (CBR 600 & NC750x) and e-bike owner (XP Lite), I must say that e-bikes have a lot of advantages that I didn’t think about before entering the space. I do agree that the price is a little too high for me personally, but I wouldn’t say it’s not worth it.
@@gabrielbanna6725 I couldn't have said it better. Another thing that should be emphasized here is the company that is selling these ebikes has impeccable customer service. How many owners give you direct access to them if you have a problem. You will NOT get this service with all the other eBikes companies out there. As someone from California, I could have gone with Ariel Rider, Aventon, Rad Power but chose to order from Amp Rides in Florida just because I know what I will get is superior to almost all ebike companies out there.

For that price, I'd take the Grom too. Don't need to load it into a bus as what would be the point of that?
You can buy a Accolmile Rhino 20 inch folding midrive with same or better specs right now (no preorder) for waay over a thousand less. $2050 or less with coupon, add your own parallel battery module and extra battery for $300 and still be way under in price. Amp rides, your way over pricing your product.
We add 8% profit to the bike after tariff of $640 and shipping. It is $238 to ship this oversized box with insurance with UPS on average. If customers tell us to remove some features then we will modify it and that would lower the cost. They are sold out so we are following the business model of asking customers what they want then building the bikes to those specs. It really isn't about what we think or want as customers tell us what they want and they are the buyers. Accolmile has no customer support, one battery, standard frame that could put riders at risk due to not engineering it for speed and power of this motor. Our 203mm quad Tektro Dorado brakes are $275. The brakes they are using are only rated to 30 mph so the rider is at risk as it relates to safety. They may have a better liability insurance policy than us for injury and whatnot. We probably have a different approach to industry reputation, safety and overengineer things a bit as we are in Orlando, FL and are subject to USA laws and legal proceedings. They could just shut down, disappear and get a new dba if they had a major structrual defect. Different approach to long term business reputation possibly. Looks like a decent price, it does use a do it yourself middrive vs manufacturing model which indicates adding the motor was an after thought vs building a frame for a year around a motor, reinforcing welds, thickening frame etc. We typically sunset a model when it becomes nonprofitable vs reduce specs and put out an inferior product that could hurt a rider or a child they are towing in a trailer behind the bike.

@@david_lawrence_h2703 Yea, probably about the same as anyone else, Acclomile has a good Amazon presence, and decent website, so I'll assume they're legit. I just bought and recieved two 1000 watt Hummer pro's last week from Tesgo (another Chinese based company) which some people also thought were questionable, but their support and correspondence has been a 10 out of 10.
@@randomstuffwithnofluff7472 Agree. Support can be hit or miss with any company. For me, I can text the owner of Amp Rides and get a response. I also know they aren't using generic parts. Which, as we know, any company can build a bike on the cheap with. Amp Rides just fits my niche and Im willing to pay extra for it.
I love bike manufactures like Amp Rides that actually build interesting boundary pushing bikes (Ariel Rider also). I’ve always said people buy cars /trucks that they want.

WOW!! I'm a DIY'er and have built 2 mid drives (one with BBS02 and other with Cyclone 3k watt), two front hubs (350w and 250w). This is the most "loaded" bike (even more than Ariel Grizzly). To cap it off, it's using both a suspension seat post and what I regard as the most comfy sprung saddle out there (Selle Royal Drifter) (I've tried Cloud-9, and Bikeroo and others, but the Drifter is the most comfy (all day comfort) for me.
Schwinn has a wide seat with white stitches that is $30 that is fantastic .

These bikes have been on PRE ORDER for like a year. I would be hesitate of the company. Last time I reached out was 3 months ago and they said they were in the container waiting for approval.
Dope video, but there's a couple catches to this bike. The motor has 160nm of torque, but not at the wheel unless your front chain ring is the the same size as the rear gear. For less you could swap the controller and motor core on almost any folder and get 40 mph and 110nm of torque at the wheel, and can still pick it up.
I can't swing a new bike right now. I've been looking for that style forks for a XP 1.0. Those look great. Anybody know where to get them?

It olso has more torque in the lower gears and I've judt bought the zooz 750w and the 750w is the zooz with the most torque and it is really easy to lift up it only weighs 25kg I was surprised to lift it out of the box the right way up with ease 👍🏾

Quality components on a folding bike that looked like it will be fairly capable off road too.
I like it , would be fun to stick.it in the boot of car when going on holiday or commute and store it in the office.

We use to like Ariel rider Grizzly 52v dual motor and now your no bs presentation makes us shifting to folding Amp Rides. Two of these folding ebike fit better inside my Toyota RAV4. Still enough room backside. 😊

Bro it looks like the chain on that bike is too long. Maybe put a bigger chainring on the front or shorten the chain. They should have used a Shimano acera with a shorter jockey cage

Luna cycel ludicrous controller voids warranty with bafang but puts out about 2500w out of this motor. You can plug this motor into a laptop and change parameters

I don't know anything, but it sure seems like Onyx is way better than everything else. Also Surron and others in that price range just don't compare. I feel like all these bikes should be less than $1500 otherwise just buy a Lectric Xp.
We really only want to sell 600 bikes a year, keep answering customers on our cell phone, not really in our business model to sell cheap entry level bikes, Lectric XP is killing that demographic with their business model. We just want to make the bikes the way the customers detail to us they want them. This design came straight from customers and their checklist and thats why its been sold out for six months. 1/2 of 1% of the market is our niche. Our customers want semi top speed and big batteries but in sleeper models they can ride on bike trails without getting heat. We make sleeper bikes for primarily 55-85 year olds per their unique needs.

just a wild question, say a 750 rear hub drive geared climbs a steep hill, slows to 10mph will a 750 mid drive offer more torque and speed on same hill, or just gear dependent?

Some of that can be overcome on a hub motor with better battery cells, high powered controller with matching bms in battery pack. See this video where our 1500w hub motor climbs 3000' at high speeds th-cam.com/video/EpnxA1Z2TB0/w-d-xo.html I think Ariel uses generic batteries and their controllers are smaller but this is a way to make more profits on this covered up parts for their bottom line on a specific model.

@@damnbrosky They sent him the bike right out of quarantine...then they sent the rear rack, rear battery and gen 3 gears. DBN was very patient and understanding and added the backordered parts and as a bonus he didn't let those beer drinking kids on the moguls go jump it.
