@@steven96 I've always seen Sandra as an antihero, especially in her two winning seasons. If you ever watched wrestling he is a classic heel. He was being a dick for the drama and that's why people liked him. He wasn't trying so hard to be a goody goody
Even if it’s true that all of his worst behavior (and especially his sexist remarks) was 100% part of the heel bit and not at all reflective of his real personality, I think he miscalculated by leaning into it that hard. I also wasn’t wild about the grandma fake-out. It spoke volumes to me that Jeff couldn’t disguise his hatred of him by the end of the season, but hey, at least we got some catty one-liners and hilarious forced smiles out of it as viewers.
@@OnceUponAnIsland I guess if a third place finish is how you define smart then okay. I just find it weird to have Fairplay with a 40 smart Vs. 38 dumb score in the same category as a Yul or a Tony, who must have a way better score differentials
While Fairplay definetly earned his moniker as one of the greatest villains in the shows history they definetly made Rupert out to be much more heroic than than he actually was simply cause he clashed with and disliked Fairplay alot. I mean Rupert gets genuinely mad and is genuinely scary over just a single vote, Fairplay claims he even attempted to try and get Rupert to be violent to get him kicked off the show but Rupert shows he was really damn close and realized he needed to calm at the last second due to Fairplays eyes or something when he grabbed his shoulder. Sneaky stuff by Fairplay but Rupert never really felt like a hero to me regardless of the diting cause he just felt like a fire ready to explode over things and was kinda scary.... course I was much younger in those days and even today Ruperts rage feels a bit too much. But Fairplay is very argumentative and purposely annoying. Even jeff felt he was too much at times. And honestly as entertaining as Fairplay is, jeff has a point when he just makes a joke out of voting someone out. probably jeff had been annoyed from him being drunk and many other things but he was just taken aback by that comment and finally let him have it for a split second. Unfortunatly Johnnys bad behaviour and reputation made it probably really hard to be called back, and worse he was a super easy early target to avoid confrontation..... except according to Jonny he was denied some pain meds, unlike someone else, by the crew and probably realized he had zero chance of winning so asked to be voted out. Was it true? or was that just a lie to leave the game instead of waste him time against long oddsand not have fun? Was it just to troll the show itself? Who knows, Jonny is such a liar at any moment. Still, very entertaining, if not a bit too much when you consider the actual feelings and emotions of the other players.
I think perfectly hyped. He is damn good at getting himself out of trouble, but didn't play winning game. Exactly the kind of person you love to see for entertainment. The shock at the end that he was able to flip people despite being one of the most hated castaways. I think third place is exactly perfect for the way he played the game.

FairPlay easily beats Lill
Sandra and Jon could be brother and sister lol
He is the most overrated Survivor player. He quit the second time out and was the first boot. You know Probst hates quitters.
Fairplay would have won against Lil EASY
he desereved the win
i thought he was really funny
Honestly, I just finished this season and I hated him from the very beginning when he was drunk and asked where the "teen" girls are at. He made the season genuinely awful for me to watch? I'm surprised so many people like him, but I guess people love villains aha.
He is very divisive. My wife doesn't like him at all and I thought he was a great addition to the show.
If you don't think Jon could have beat Lil you're wrong
It's just a guess. We have no idea without seeing a final tribal of them against each other.
Jon claims in a Reddit AMA that the cast had an impromptu vote between him and Lil and that he would've won.
@@SandeProHiQu I wouldn't put too much stock in that. He also says he beats Sandra in a final 2 which I truly doubt.
Once Upon An Island yeah he is a narcissist
I don't think he gets Sandra, Rupert, or Christa's vote. So he has to be perfect to beat Lill 4-3.
40 vs 38 isn’t really smart…. you need a mediocre category.
He finished in 3rd so he was smart enough to get there.
I absolutely hated Johnny "Fairplay"
✌
I honestly disliked fairplay
anyone else think FairPlay is a little overhyped, he wasn't ever that good of a castaway he just had one of the most iconic moments of all time
He was a good player who became great with the grandma lie. He used that lie so much to get himself further in the game.
Hes very entertaining, thats all people say about him, outside of that he is just very very slippery
@@OnceUponAnIsland but even you said he had about a zero percent chance to win at that final 5, Lil might have even beaten him
@@OnceUponAnIsland that's why I think he's overhyped I loved watching him, but fans v fav, yeah he basically quit but on day one nobody even wanted him on the tribe
I’m O
Ok
Ok
😅I
😮😅😅
He lie so he can sign on contract to be a wrestler back then
No he lied to get ahead in the game to try to win it.
Boo! Me like Rupert.
Jon's a snake, yeah, and he's a terrible villain. But he also does heroic stuff, too.
Fairplay legit came to the show to lose.
No joke if there was one person he could beat it would be lil I truly believe it but sadly we'll never know
