I like a small crossbody purse or belt bag for travel. For flights, I just pack my small purse or belt bag into my backpack I use for a personal item. If I'm going to an amusement park, then I prefer a backpack purse.
The type of bag I use really depends on the vacation and our planned activities. I have really been gravitating towards a Fanny pack worn across my chest, I also really like my Baggu crescent, I have several crossbody bags, backpacks, sling bags…..all hold a special place in my heart🥰. I really like the first crossbody camera bag you showed, it looks structured yet soft, often those styles are tough to get into as they are too rigid.
I do have an antitheft/slash proof black bag from Travelon. It is a larger than I usually use in my everyday life, but I do need more stuff when I’m going to be out and about all day exploring. I like it because it has two outside pockets. One for my water bottle and another I add an umbrella (when needed). I have used it at home after a trip (before I have time to unpack) and have gotten compliments. It does look more like a normal purse.

Avid Disney fan here. The backpack looks great for a Disney Park day/useable for travel for dual role. Would be great for that Merida or Loki cosplay!

I love my slashproof bags. I don’t carry anything that’s not cute. Years ago Travelon used to have great bags.
That’s awesome. I wish I found one that I liked, but I’ve never felt unsafe while traveling that I felt that I needed slashproof, in all 87 countries I’ve been to
I like the cross body bags you showed for travel. Definitely going to purchase one of them.
Love the backpack. As I've gotten older I've discovered I really only need a small purse. Just something to hold my phone, a tiny flip wallet, my glasses and sunglasses and maybe some chapstick. Do you ever travel within the US? Since you go to a lot of out of the way places outside the US do you ever want to find those out of the way places in the US as well? Not suggesting you do it, just curious.
My thought process is that:
1. The US is way more expensive to travel within. A flight to CA is the same price as a flight to Tahiti (and I use that example from experience as I’m going in a few weeks) and the hotels and food are cheaper elsewhere, too.
2. I want to do the whole world while I’m “young”. I do hair and talk to women everyday and once they retire, most don’t end up getting to travel like they planned on, due to health reasons or grand kids or something. So I want to do international now and save the US for when I’m older :)
3. I’m Addicited to culture shock. I find it fascinating.
I have tried various antitheft purses and bags, and you're right-- it's hard to find a cute one! I settled on a Sherpani Vale. It's cute-adjacent with enough security features to make me feel mostly safe, lol!

I’ve become a crossbody girl in the last few years….I’ve been using the same small crossbody bag as you and have gone back for several colors - it fits so much stuff and I love it!

I like the hobo bag. For me, the bag needs to fit a water bottle. Plus, you can also use it as a packing cube in your suitcase.
Hi. Is there a reason why you don’t review travelpro, Samsonite or Delsey luggage?? These brands have been around for years and they have hard case luggage’s comparable quality to some that you already review.
I have reached out to all three several times, and they haven’t replied to my emails. It doesn’t mean I won’t ever review them, but they need to respond back for me to do it.
I think those straps are called guitar straps (named because they look like guitar straps). I like them too, and have been seeing them all over Amazon.

LOVE that backpack, and not surprised at all that you got it in green! :) I would also enjoy the smaller of the two crossbody bags. I'll be wearing a sling bag on our next trip, and have a feeling that might be my new favorite way to wear a bag. Are the side pockets on the backpack large enough to hold a decent size water bottle (like maybe 24 oz)?

I am going to Europe for the first time this fall to Italy, and would like to know your thoughts about where you would keep your passport, major, credit cards, phone and drivers license. Would you carry them in one of these bags or do you have some thing you were closer to your body? Thank you! 🙏
I would keep my passport in the zippered pocket inside of this, and put my cash and cards in my travel wallet that has a carabiner clip on it, and attach it to the zipper (if I was worried about safety/pickpockets)

And tbh me being alone is not the thing that makes me nervous since I know Germany can be pretty safe but it’s the trains and the transportation that makes me nervous and scared.
I am so use to Uber or Lyft here - and having a car mysel… there I would need to walk to a train or bus station- and then what- ? Walk to my Airbnb or hotel with all my bags? 🥹
I arrive to the main train station in the city that I am staying and then I wouldn’t know what to do next- most of the German people I know say that they don’t take taxis. So I am freaking out about that.

I personally only do public transport throughout Europe, and did it in Germany. I use Google maps to give me directions! But hopefully you pack light!
