I wish the origami had an ourside water pocket
After watching this I had to have that tote. It’s so hard to find a good travel tote that meets being light, having a pocket for water, and a separate laptop compartment without weighing a ton. I went with black but love the berry color you got! Thanks for always providing helpful insight and features so glad they have a beige interior now !!! That’s a feature more bags need to be utilizing !

Beautiful bags! Looove all the pockets! The Beis diaper backpack (I use it despite my kids being long out of diapers) has those no-dangle straps and they are fantastic!
Thank you for featuring The Nomad Lane backpack. I have different tote bags for every type of travel but I did admire all the NL features.
As someone who carries everything from a personal item backpack to my 40 L travel convertible backpacks this checked all the boxes!
_No dangle or straps with strap keepers, yes!_
_Different color interior, the brighter the better, yes!_
_A slick exterior that will not catch on anything under the seat or even when you're going through the airline aisle, yes!_
_Personally, I don't like a lot of organizational pockets but these NL pockets are so sleek an unobtrusive that I would not mind..... and they're there in case I do have the need, yes!_

Thank you for your review of the Tote! I’ve been looking for a work tote/personal bag for traveling. I just ordered the tote in the Bordeaux Berry. I was sold when you showed the light interior (yay!) and all of the organization of the tote! I can’t wait to receive it!! Also looking at the Bento Bag v4 for my husband.

I did actually pack them for the video, but I had to cut it out because the video ended up being so much more long!
I LOVE the Bordeaux Berry - I got the Vento Bag V4 in that color, and love it! I do love the no dangle backpack straps - that's an awesome feature! I love all of videos too!

These are a little too small for that, unless you’re going with only one change of clothes. There is good room inside, but once you fill the pockets with stuff, I was able to fit my liquid toiletries and a packable rain coat and some trail mix :)

Really nice video! I purchased the berry color today. The black is so elegant, so it was a very difficult decision. But I’ve decided to step out of my neutral comfort zone and embrace colors with my new luggage purchases this year. I’m looking forward to receiving and using my new tote for my upcoming trip. I checked luggage as I was bringing a lot of gifts and goodies for my friends that I was visiting, so I had to carry this tote around the airport. I am a small person (5’ 3”), and this bag is a bigger personal item than I’ve used in the past. All the pockets are great for organizing and this bag was very comfortable to carry around, especially using the crossbody strap with the padding. I’m very happy with this purchase! Thank you, Lauren for your review, it really helped me make a confident decision. ❤️

Wooohoo! I was so excited when I saw the title of this video. I clicked on your link and purchased the backpack ❤. I’ve been on the hunt for a travel backpack and was going to purchase the Beis expandable backpack but it’s been out of stock for soooo long. Glad I waited because I’ve always been interested in Nomad lane but I really prefer a backpack for travel. Thank soooo much Kelly! I’ve been waiting for this review! You already sold me on the Bento 4 but I’ve been trying to decide if I’d go with the tote or backpack as my smaller option. So happy you reviewed them both! Still not sure which one I’ll be getting though. 😅
It’s so hard to decide! I did pack them both for this video and then had to take it out (length issues) but they did fit the same amount!

I will eventually. I had actually done it for this video, but it made the video way too long, and I had to cut it out. The tote in the backpack held the same amount of stuff.

This review was extremely helpful. I love Nomad Lane and I have Bento v4 but I bought backpack for when I am not travelling internationally. The issue I have is I feel like straps don’t stay in place as for example in Lo and Sons backpack which I use for office only (it is too heavy for travel in my opinion). Had anyone else noticed stripe position is sort of sliding?
I like the berry better. And, love the lighter interior. I could use some help with this -- I don't travel with a laptop, what are ideas for using that space? Most don't seem wide enough for a packing cube and I don't carry files. Would really appreciate some ideas so as to not waste that space. Thanks
I’ve used it to keep some souvenirs safe, like if I bought art or fragile sculptures. Or even just keeping liquid toiletries in there for its own location.
once it's packed do you think the tote straps will be an issue with international or budget airlines cause they hang out ? love the color thank goodness people are starting to catch on to the interior light tones! love them all- what's price point between them?
I absolutely agree on the brighter, contrasting color interiors. Most of my travel totes and duffels are black and the black interior is impossible without a headlamp!😂
I think Osprey was the first brand that I purchased a bag with a contrasting interior color and now it is a must have on my bag requirements!

Did you get highlights? I like them. I’m a backpack girly when I travel but I want the bento bag so, so bad. I have an Amazon dupe though so that’ll have to do until I can justify spending $300 OR until it comes in pink lol

@@ItsTheKellys I do like it a lot but I haven’t traveled with it yet! I really like the organization. My only concern with it is that if I packed it to capacity for a trip (using a packing cube) is that it would get heavy since it’s a shoulder bag & I usually use a backpack as a personal item
What happened to the backpack option of the Origami Tote? Being convertible was its winning feature. I was bummed version 1 sold out. I was going to grab it. Not now that there is no backpack option.
I’m not really sure, I’ve never seen it at all. It was around before I reviewed bags
Convertibility is what I'd really love from the Bento Bag. It's just too dang heavy to carry with the shoulder strap and I might not be using a roller bag, so placing it on that wouldn't be an option. Even so, because of its size and weight, it might be too cumbersome to wear as a backpack. I agree that being able to convert the tote would 100% sell me on it!

Omg why Am I in Canada 😢 Those bag seems so awesome and practical I need the bento and the backpack in my life ❤ You wouldn’t happen to know the the bento fit in the air Canada sizer wouldn’t you? I purchased a monos duffle just to noticed that there’s no way it’ll fit in the air Canada seized wich is sad as it is a Canadian brand 😅

I can’t fit it in the sizer (bento) but everyone says they have been able to use it on there, as well as the monos duffel. My advice is not to pack it super full.

Could we get a Nomad Lane backpack vs the Monos backpack comparison?
Maybe eventually. But I have the videos for the rest of the year lined up for now.
Quick comparison: Nomad Lane is smaller, but lighter, and has a water bottle pocket on the outside vs inside. Monos can hold more, because of the detachable metro classic kit.
@@ItsTheKellys It’s a tough decision between the two. I love the green Monos and the extra space, but I really like the straps and water bottle pocket on the Nomad Lane.
