Good morning Grant i was able to follow Simplex and help them at a large hospital that I used to work at. The wand really helps in testing their detectors, It is really fun leaning how the NODES work and the system reset. I have followed the Simplex 4110 and the 4100 models for a long time really great panels with Point ID. Talk soon John
Hey, @S.E.R. Safety. This is Tyler here, and I’m very interested in fire alarms myself. If the panel is in Walk Test, do you still have to call the fire department so they don’t respond? Or does the panel disable the dialed? Thank you.
in the 4010s function menu there is an option to City Disconnect so it does it for you. in this particular video however i am not sure that they did this
Hey S.E.R. Safety! For your next system text, Siemens Alert Strobe with a Wheelock 70 Speaker Strobe mounted on top of the Alert Strobe. The alarm for the right side of the garage, Wheelock RSS. Pull Station, BG-6. I will be happy if you do this system test!
Actually, these are QuickAlerts. I believe the model number is 4903-9417, 9418 or 9419 depending on the candela. However, there are TrueAlerts on the system that are I believe 4906-9127. Some may be fixed candela too. Everything here is SmartSync.
Hello how come when your alarm go off straight away but when I was school when we one done we had to stay in the classroom and the person who had the test smoke had to go round with test smoke Frist without setting off the alarm and there person who had the test smoke could set of the alarm and it was annoying but it had to be done
When it is in walk test mode on an addressable simplex panel, it beeps the address that is set on the device. For example, a pull station it 29, horn will sound 2 times follow by a short pause than the horn will sound 9 times
@@aspenqwerty3 If the second number is a 0, it does 2 120BPM pulses to represent it. Same 2 pulses sound if you're testing a zone that has already been tested.

My elementary school had Simplex fire alarms, and of course the iconic T-bars were everywhere 🙂
Same but my highschool
Same
I have that same type of pull station and fire alarm at my old school! It always made me jump when it went off.
Those detectors are called the quick connect Line! They were mostly installed when the 4010 was still in production, Anyways keep up the content!
Your the person that got me interested in alarms

I’m not interested

Cool to see how similar it is on the other side of the pond. How come you guys don’t have a Solo TestiFire?
Expensive but worth the money.
What pond?
As always it's a good video
I like how the "0" digit pulse the horn twice in march time
God, old simplex panels were so good, sad to see their brand decrease in quality over the years.
in 3:30 when the Simplex Fire Alarm goes: Beep beep beep....Beep beep

I’m pretty sure it disables it
You might want to call first just to be sure

You can actually use 4000 as the passcode to access Level 4.
They didn't because Level 3 is the minimum level to access Walk test.
3:01 It’s a QuickAlert!
They probably had all quick alerts back then they changed
At 3:33, they just HAVE to be required to have a North Korean flag. Of course, no school without NK
Ikr
Yasssss new video
Good job 👍
What code are the strobe lights set to?
I don’t know, but they flash SO fast for some reason.
@@Oof-zl6lt Walk test pulses all NACs in Simple Coding.
Ouch. They're not wearing ear protection!😮😨
Oooohhhh that must hurt real bad. *cringe*
Yes “simpex”😂
C_Dubb_Official he changed it
Awesome video!

my schools alarms are these kind but it sounds like the activation at 3:12, whats that called?
60 bpm march time
Nice!
My school uses simplex and im having a drill tomorrow
Edit: its this horn and a code 3
Some are California and Code 3
Worked on one today
so that is why I heard sounds from my school
Cool!
That is what our school fire alarms look like but deffrint
Come to Cyprus I want to see you 🙏🙏🙏
How do I get to do this?
Ask someone that works for a fire alarm company.
My school has the same smoke detectors
Nice
It says "Simlpex" in the title
All of the true alerts are March time

Ok
@@aspenqwerty3 If the second number is a 0, it does 2 120BPM pulses to represent it. Same 2 pulses sound if you're testing a zone that has already been tested.
01:18 This one's not working because the wires to the device are loose
How do you know?
@@doggoofthebath5593 I'm just guessing that could be why
@@joeycaridi3030 oh ok it just sounded you were telling us exactly why it wasn’t working and not why it might not be working
@@joeycaridi3030I think that is because they have a defective strobe; would need to be replaced with a Simplex 4906-9101 multi CD SmartSync strobe.
I like 4010s ...
Why do they flash so fast?
They flash fast since they're in Walk Test.
@@FireRescue80 ah, ok,
@@FireRescue80 They flash fast because they're being coded.
