Thank you so much for this video!! It saved us with getting a tow at 6:00pm on a Sunday night after a long weekend working on the mountain. Do you know if this is only a temporary fix & that there is something more that needs to be fixed with this problem?
2018 JKU Sahara, pulled the 20A fuse as instructed in the video. Tried it for 30 seconds, wouldn't start, tried it for a minute, still wouldn't start. I tried it for 5 minutes still nothing. Headlights work, dash lights, radio work I can roll all four windows down simultaneously lights do not dim all at. When I try to crank it over I don't get anything, no clicks or pops or weak starter sounds that indicate a dead battery. It was fine literally an hour ago. I have 51,426 miles this is the first time this has happened. I hope there is a fix for this or I'll be trading this in on a JL. This problem reminds me of the phantom issues I had on a 2007 WK. Left me stranded on a mountain pass in the middle of the winter 3ft of snow. I can't understand why Jeep can't figure out these issues. Having it towed to the dealer as we speak.
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore Here is an update, the dealer had my JKU for 4 days. The day it arrived on the tow truck they couldn't get it started so the Service guy said the techs had to push it into the bay. The next day they called me and said they are still diagnosing the issue. Having not received a call in a couple of days I called the dealer and spoke to the service writer and he said that my vehicle was OK and ready to be picked up. They said that they couldn't replicate the issue and it has been driving and running fine. He claimed they ran a 72 point diagnostic inspection on the electrical system and couldn't find anything wrong with the Jeep. They still charged me 176 dollars (US) plus the tow which was 80 dollars. The service ticket states, what issue I explained to them. Their comments do not match the original conversation we had that the techs had to push it into the shop because the vehicle would not start or take a jump start. I was simply told if it happens again to bring it in. I am totally confused at this point. On a positive note I have been driving my JK with no issues or had any starting problems.
Hello friend, I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport that fell into the river but I have already repaired everything, all the modules work but it does not start, a red light stays on on the dashboard and it does nothing with the key but it detects everything that is there the jeep won’t crank over, can you help me please?
Are you getting power on the start wire at the starter? If you are then the starter is probably bad. If not you have a alarm problem locking out the starter.
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore It is immobilized, I have already been to several mechanics in the area and no one can fix it, can you help me please, the starter motor, everything works, it is only immobilized, that is why it does not start or do anything with the key.

My jk 2007 does the same thing, just one thing different. When i turn the key the jeep loses all the power and i have to remove the positive cable of the battery to the power comes back. I still don't know that is the problem
After removing the fuse and the positive terminal for 5 minutes + and place all again my jk turn on normally. But still showing up after this first problem, so far happened 3 times, the third now 😅 I'm waiting for the time to plug everything again.
Tried the 30 second fuse pull out and it did not work on my 2014 Wrangler Unlimited, Battery is 5 years old and original, may get a new battery and see if it’s the battery, although it NEVER gave me any indication the battery was going bad. My buddy came over we connected a new battery all lights turned on, headlights, interior lights, I was able to use FOB and power my windows up and down but still wouldn’t start. Frustrated. I own a 6 speed by the way.
First is that alarm light going out? If so mabe it is the starter. Check for power at small wire on starter while somebody is trying to start it. Could be clutch safety switch.

@TheGAutomotiveAndMore oddly enough I'm having the same issue but my wrangler jku is bare bones with manual everything. I've been throwing parts at it hoping for a remedy. At this point I'm about to trade it for a 2015 f250 6.2.
Thank you so much for this video!! It saved us with getting a tow at 6:00pm on a Sunday night after a long weekend working on the mountain. Do you know if this is only a temporary fix & that there is something more that needs to be fixed with this problem?
I don't know why the alarm is doing this. But once you reset it seams to be good for awhile. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, this worked on my 2009.
Great glad to help.
It could be another problem, like the starter. But let us know what the problem is. Thanks for watching
Ran into this problem today. The remote lock or unlock from the key won't work either
What do i tell my mechanic to fix ultimately… Bcus i dnt want to continue to pull that part out
No one has figured it out yet, but it has something to do with the factor alarm.
@@kikebenitez9958 I think you need to go to the dealer. They should have the scanner that should find the problem and be able to reprogram the new parts.
Thanks i have a 13” works for me too thanks man 🤙🏽
Glad to hear that. Thanks for watching.
So my m25 fuse, which is the fuelp pump one, i tested it with the light and it only turns on for a few secs right after i tuen the key to the on position and then turns off, is the tester light suppose to stay on the entire time the key is on?? This is before doing the fuse tap process
It is working right. It only primes the pump and then when it see a RPM it turns fuel pump on.
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore oh ok, i have code p071 and p074 lean fuel in both banks. Theres times it just turns over without crank.
@@mrhoya14 Lean codes should not cause it not start but If your fuel pressure is to low that might be it.
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore so it might be signs of a bad fuel pump? It just does it at random, like it might start up fine for a week or a month, then one day it jist decides to act up.
@@mrhoya14 Yes I have had cars come in with p0171 and p0174 and the fuel pump was bad. I do not know if this it your problem .
Thanks a million!!!! worked for me :)
What fuse goes to the ac compressor? For jeep wrangler
Everyone's different. Look in you owners manual. It should give you a break down of where the fuse is. Thanks for watching
Okay I did that and now I have to Push shift knob forward and turn key to start any idea of what it could be.
That sounds like the neutral safety switch is out of adjustment.
Thank you I appreciate you time and assistance is that something I could do and do you have a video
@@derickrobin3437 Sorry no video on that. Thanks for watching
Thanks so much!!!👍👍👍👍
I have a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee my Jeep turns on good but sometimes when I turn it on after 5 secs or so it turns off and I have to turn it off completely and I have to try it again and it turns on fine but sometimes it takes like two three try’s to turn on good can this help ?
No this is when starter won't work. Sounds like you might be having a idle speed control motor problem or you are losing the computer memory and its clearing the learned idle speed. Good luck
Thank you for your guide! The engine turns on normally but I noticed two things; first the compass on the dash cam is not working and secondly the sign of the engine is on. Do you know what's the cause?
The check engine light could be caused by A thousand different things. Need a code puller to find out what codes are stored. I don't have any other info on the compass, you will have to go to dealer for that. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the help. Just a quick question though to everyone, does this keep happening even after removing and putting the fuse back in?
Not sure, It has something to do with the alarm cutting out the starter circuit. Why, we don't know. It could happen once and never again. Thanks for watching
Hi am facing the same problem but my car is Suzuki swift hacthback 2010 but don't know which fuse i have to remove
Sorry I have no idea. Thanks for watching
My car has the same hot oil light symptom and the starter motor does not work.
2014 JK 2.8 Crd vehicle.
I want you to share a solution
I have never worked on a diesel jeep. But have you checked the batterry And the starter? This is where I would start first.
Thanks for posting this!! You helped me out with my 2012 Wrangler!
What if starter clicks once and doesn’t say anything after that?
Could be a bad starter or dead battery or a loose connection
My jk 2007 does the same thing, just one thing different. When i turn the key the jeep loses all the power and i have to remove the positive cable of the battery to the power comes back. I still don't know that is the problem
One of the battery cables could be bad. I would start there. Thanks for watching
After removing the fuse and the positive terminal for 5 minutes + and place all again my jk turn on normally. But still showing up after this first problem, so far happened 3 times, the third now 😅 I'm waiting for the time to plug everything again.
In my 2008, I found that red light in right side of dash- secuity.👍.
Yep its the security light and it disengages the starter. Thanks for watching
This worked for me. Thanks. But the red fuse you point to says 10 not 20.
Yes I had my finger on the 10amp fuse but I was trying to point at the 20amp fuse. I am glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching
The G Automotive And More Ok. I actually pulled the red 10 amp and seems to have worked for me so far.
That's because he was pointing to the green one that said 20 lol
Hey this did not fix mine any more solutions
It could be you starter is bad.
How do I pull that J13 (IOD)?
Needle nose
No it actually stays on.
@@MARKLINMAN1 Make sure the fuse you are pulling is the IOD fuse, might be in a different location on that year
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore Battery was the ISSUE, went and installed a NEW BATTERY....Jeep Started RIGHT up. So happy right now. Thank you for this tip as well.
I have a 08 wrangler Rubicon it starts just fine but after it warmes up and i turn off the jeep it doesn't restart/crank over almost like the battery is died its really slow but if i wait a couple of hours it fires up just fine any idea on whats happing?
It could be the battery or the starter. I also would get the alternator checked. Thanks for watching
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore thanks for replying im thinking the starter is getting hot
@@brianking2798 Yes that is what i
I think too.
How do you permanently fix this? Can you bypass the anti-theft so you don't need the immobilizer at all.
Have not found a fix yet. Thanks for watching
You just saved my ass thanks
