I’m about to start this job now so much easier on the RHD euro model there is nothing in the way it’s right there In the open. 1982 as well so not even power steering in the way 😅
Spencer I've got to change my Clutch Master Cylinder I think that's why my 1st and 2nd gears are slow to engage and change in and out of. What Brand Cylinder did you go with, "FTE"?
I did go with an FTE for mine because my brake booster is a Girling. I know there's a lot of debate on whether or not the clutch master cylinders are interchangeable and I know on the earlier models the 83 and 84 in Clark's garage he says that they are. Hope that helps
Quarter inch ratchet, long extention, universal swivel and 13 mm socket ! To replace the nuts , take the socket and put a greased !!! Nut in it ,then grease your cylinder nut so it won't fall out, then fish it down in there!!😀😀😀😀😀🚗🚗🚗🚗🍺🍺🍺
FYI, That was not your master brake cylinder. That part is the clutch master cylinder. The brake master cylinder would be under the brake reserve, and attached to the brake booster.
I love that you call out the bolt sizes as you go. Great video, thanks!
Thank you. I appreciate that
Thanks for the great video!! I am in the process of ordering the parts to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on my 87' 924s!
That is awesome! Hope it turns out great for you
"i dont wanna be a bitch about it" *instally subscibes lol
Are you still using the pcv hose that goes from the reservoir to the master cylinder? Because my hose is braided and looks different.
yes, you have the correct hose. Have not swapped mine out yet, complete laziness on my part, but it sounds like your car has the correct hose.
Yeah I thought so. Is your hose still holding up well? Because from what I’ve read, those fuel line hoses deteriorate when used with brake fluid
@@cesarguzman6346 They do! Surprisingly mine has been holding up well. But it definitely is the wrong hose I have. :)

how in the hell did you undo the bolts for the master cylinder on the front side of the firewall? I've been at this for 5 hours now.
Flare wrench! And it was definitely a pain for me too
@@spencerdog944 ahh yes that did it, im glad i wasnt alone😂

Thank you for catching that. I have a bad habit of calling parts by the wrong name.
