I’m 77 and I compete in the masters shot put. I’m aiming for a WORLD RECORD as soon as I turn 80. The weight of the shot drops to only 6 pounds. Wow. I can break world 80 year old record. It’s only 42 feet
Friend your thinking is wrong. Eating healthy food is good but it doesn’t guarantee you that you will be young. But, there is one secret is your brain. Tell your body I am always young and do the following. You have to do competitive exercises as what you might have done when you are young. But, you will not be as fit as you were in the twenties. But, your body still can show you are fit. This is what I do even I am 63 and yet I still can compete against the younger ones. Keeping my body as must rip as possible and I also do tough events. But, if you are not the person who doesn’t exercise and wants to start. Please, do it slow and listen to your body. Because, l always train very hard to keep fit, meaning my body is condition to it. So, I don’t want you to be injured or cause serious health issues. Take Care and keep your brain strong and don’t give up.
I am 84 and Dr.by profession.I had been exercising for about 30 yrs.It icluded wt.lifting,walking and free hand exercises.I had a habit of checking my health but fortunately or unfortunately I went for CT Angiography which showed some blockage of the coronary arteries although I had no problem so I was advised stenting which I followed but there occurred some rupture of the arteries but I survived and lost about 10 kgs.I had never been overwt.Now I'm breathless on walking otherwise I am OK and have gained 10kgs in a year
I am already in the club..But the best is,let's put things in perspective.I suppose we better move away or discard the false perception that with all sorts of healthy fruits and proper diet we will be able to circumvent ageing cycle. Let us approach ageing realistically. I think rationally,consuming healthy diet with all fruits combine will work well towards maintaining good health physically and mentally. But the fact of the matter is no human being can reverse the life cycle no matter what we do.Ageing has a mandate to fulfil its obligations by virtue of life cycle process..in the grand scheme of human existence...
