      This!!! Before I loc’ed my hair I couldn’t grow my hair. I was always touching my hair…. Loc’ed up my hair a few months ago but decided to go smaller so took the locs out to reinstall n my hair is thicker and has doubled in length! Can’t wait to put them back in.

    • @rogersbaker4969
      @rogersbaker4969 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do you mean like touching your hair all the time?

    • @darlenebracy7065
      @darlenebracy7065 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Yes. Touching your hair too much can cause issues down the line. Example: playing in your hair while sitting around. This may cause the hair to weaken and/or fall out over time. Minimize touching your hair can help the health of your hair. Not saying don’t touch it at all, but to leave your hair alone enough so it won’t break or dry up or worse losing hair. Everyone is different.

      This is one of my biggest issues and another reason I’m loc’ing my hair. Anxiety constantly has my hands in my hair, pulling at it, creating knots, pulling/ripping out knots, etc.

      @@bmooremoore4460 I started my locs with added hair too but that delayed my locs journey. Only after taking the added hair out, my locs started to thrive! My hair is soft so kept unraveling from the added hair. My locs aren’t very long yet but the volume of it is lovely, thick and shiny so I guess I can say it’s growing more in volume at this baby stage more than in length! I’m sure it would’ve been further in the journey had I not wasted 6 months with the added hair!

      I love aloe! I do aloe Vera gel mask on a regular. I grow my own aloe so that I can get the freshest gel. I use it in my hair care products. It does wonders for the hair and skin. You can even use it to lose weight.

      I love mixing my aloe and Rose water. Also I use the raw aloe gel for my edge control instead of chemical edge control. Aloe grew my bald spots back from a lady snatching my edges out years ago with too tight braids. Using it now for postpartum hair loss on my edges.

      Water water water. And watch the sugar in the fruit drinks. 1g of sugar is literally one tablespoon full of sugar. Watch the empty carbs and sugar.
      Vitamins
      A
      E
      D
      Omega 3
      Raw bee pollen pills
      And if you can stomach it..raw cod liver oil. One of the most powerful on the list. Twice a week for the cod liver or once is fine.

    Thanks for the tips… your locs are long and beautiful I heard Haitian black castor oil was good so I bought a bottle and it made my scalp irritated my scalp was so itchy omg never again I’ll continue sticking with the Jamaican castor oil.

  • @Joyouslysweet
    @Joyouslysweet 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should try river water instead of Florida water. The perfumes in the Florida water are artificial and aren’t really good for the hair or skin.

    I went to a professional colorist and she messed my hair up to the max. And I’m trying to bring health back to my hair. And it’s growing but it’s not growing as fast as it use to and every time I get a retwist which is like once a month or once every 2 months. It’s more hair falling out 🤦🏾‍♀️
