Can you do a full skin care routine video for combination skin ? I love your videos 🥰

Love these picks! I want to try that sulfur mask & vitamin c serum. I definitely also feel that the hair products are a totally neglected part of the product assessment in the “acne cycle”. I am very careful w not overdoing styling products for that very reason.

Can you make a teen skincare routine for teens who don't have acne? Should my teen use tinted sunblock daily already? Thank you!

you can also buy band-aid brand hydrocolloid band-aids and cut them to cover a pimple, maybe a bit more cost effective

Thanks for the video. I now have a video to refer to folks when they're asking about teen skincare. I'm guessing some of these products would also work for folks who don't have acne?

Yeah, at first I was excited to hear all your suggestions, but as the video went on it was geared towards the feminine community. I don’t see my teenage nephew using anything other than maybe the pimple patches. I apologize for the negative comment. All your other content I appreciate and look forward to.

Using a cleanser, moisturizer, serum, and the occasional face mask is not feminine. Even the shampoo and face towel hacks weren’t feminine. If your nephew doesn’t want to use anything other than a pimple patch, then he probably doesn’t care enough to properly take care of his skin. And that’s a lesson you or someone else in his life should help teach him.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos. Might you be able to address this topic:
I wish to use a full-spectrum protection sunscreen (mineral, including iron oxides), but I have extremely acne-prone and also dry skin---every time I try to introduce a mineral sunscreen I break out horribly while also getting very red, dry, flaking skin. The problem gets worse and worse until I go back to a chemical sunscreen (Cetaphil DermaControl), and then it still takes weeks to resolve. I use Stieva-A at night.
I suspect many others must be having a similar struggle. If you could create a video on possible solutions to this conflict, I expect many people would be very grateful. Thank you again for all your hard work.

Have you tried the Biossance sheer mineral spf 30? It has Squalane which may help dryness. I personally love this spf.

@@homie_omi Thank you so much for the recommendation. Unfortunately, this sunscreen does not contain iron oxides, and also cannot be shipped outside the US. I live in Canada. I'm glad you've found something that works for you.

My 10 year old has minor acne but oily sensitive skin....vanicream burned, currently using cereve hydrating cleanser and the pm moisturizer. This doesn't bother her but doesn't seem to do much for acne...what can I add that won't dry her skin?

    • @homie_omi
      @homie_omi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Not sure if this would help, but I have a similar skin type.
I would suggest the Cerave Foaming Cleanser instead since it’s directed toward oily skin. The cerave PM moisturizer is a great choice if it works for her.
My personal favorite moisturizer is the Cetaphil Acne Mattifying Moisturizer. I love this product. It contains a low concentration of salicylic acid which helps with breakouts. the formula also helps with shiny/oily skin.
If you do not want salicylic acid in your moisturizer some options are these lightweight gel-creams:
-Bubble Skincare Balancing moisturizer(you can find it at Walmart or online).
-Another very similar choice could be the Versed moisturizing gel-cream which can be found at Target.
-They are both very affordable products.
To combat acne, I would say to incorporate the occasional usage of a salicylic acid (BHA) face wash such as the Cerave SA renewing cleanser or the stronger 2% Cerave Acne Control Cleanser. These both can help with breakouts.
Finally, it is important to use sunscreen daily especially while using a product like salicylic acid since your skin may become more sensitive to the sun. I have found that a mineral-based sunscreen causes less irritation for me personally. I use the Biossance Sheer Mineral SPF 30. This is a little pricier than drugstore products, but it applies very sheer and easily on the skin without irritation on my skin. I’m sure there are many great alternatives out there. Remember to reapply throughout the day!
Don’t forget to look out for those manufacturer coupons on the cetaphil’s and cerave’s websites! Best of luck!
(These are all my opinions and I am not a licensed esthetician nor a dermatologist)
