Thanks for your service to our society sir. I would like to present my opinion on reason for our activities (whether good or bad):
1. Everything is happening only after the firm determination (sangalpam) of God.
2. Nothing is happening without his knowledge and no activity can surprise God, as God knows everything before hand.
3. What a person is going to do (whether good deed or bad deed), god knows. He is kartha and vikartha (vishnu sahasranamam), he is the doer and does it at best. No one can do as best he can.
4. Since bad things are also happening because of his determination and knowledge, no action is bad action, as everything is his drama.
5. EVERY SOUL HAS ONLY 21 REINCARNATIONS.
6. As per our Vedas (advaita vedantha), the world is maya (illusion) that is it is NOT REAL. It is like our dream. So, when we commit 1000 murders in our DREAM or give food to 1 lakh people, no sin is committed by us nor any good deed committed by us. Similarly, since the world is a dream, we have to act according to God's will/wish and plan.
7. Hinduism differs from other religion in one biggest way. In Hinduism, every soul will attain god without doubt and every soul will become god (we are also God incarnations, but we cannot understand it now) as God is OMNIPRESENT , OMNIPOTENT and OMNISCIENCE, which no religion can deny.
