This sets a new standard for night-time cab rides! The light and dark, the splashes of colour made it a delight for the eyes. It was interesting to see the new tunnel. Thank you.
Another awesome video made from my favorite train driver on TH-cam. I have followed you for so many years and have enjoyed every single video you have made. I rewatch every one of them and share them weekly with my train group on Facebook. Your trips make Switzerland and surrounding areas so real and beautiful like we are actually there.
The night train and rain was good.It was clear despite the darkness.I also noticed that the signal lights flashing at night time is so bright even from far and it is easier for drivers to see.Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing your life, simply stunning from my perspective, I'm a trucker from US and I'm amazed at how clean and smooth your operation runs, Thank you again for your time.
Mein Eindruck: In jedem. Tolles Video! Wirklich beeindruckend in einer unglaublich guten Bildqualität. Regen - Nacht - Bewegung. Schwierige Kombination.und tolle Stimmung!
I love the quietness of the cab compared to here in UK. Less bells, whistles and especially engine and motor noise. A thumbs up night ride. Another subscriber has hit the button.
How awesome. I've been hoping to see a night one. The quality seems very good. The lights coming out of Zürich look amazing; I think rain at night really enhances the scene.
Hut Ab.🙂
Thanks so much for yet another great video. This is very special one though. The lights from the buildings, signals, stations etc., are all so magical. Can't thank you enough.
Hello again, well how nice is this on a train in the rain. The sound of rain hitting the train is like the rhythm of a drum, hypnotic almost and what a way to beat the heat of the day. It's always nice to see the lights of night. Thank you again, as always enjoying this trip with you sitting here at home. Take care
This was, indeed, a spectacular night time video. Perfectly captured with the wet weather giving the entire production this extremely pleasing other worldly glow. Kudos!
Mfg Michael 🤓🧐😇
Rot. Gelb. . 🚆👍💡💡💡
It was an interesting night cab ride. Hard to fall asleep with all these lights. At the explanation of this cab ride, a detail is missing: THE HOUR. Interesting the name to one of the station of PRATTELN: "SALINA RAURICA"
So much to talk about here! As an amateur photographer, I see you have found a setup that allows full focal depth in low light. As a lighting designer, I appreciate the way you are able to reproduce the different colour temperatures of the different white lights and show us the skyglow (urban light pollution of the night sky) - one can truly see the journey as you see it and you have clearly done a whole heap of homework to get this right - I get the sense a new bunch of nighttime videos is on its way and I'm looking forward! Meanwhile, one of the details your excellent work shows is that all the IR trains at this time of night are hauled by re460 - are re420 being cut back to just rush hour passenger work? If so, is that a result of the introduction of FV-Dostos or am I getting ahead of myself there? Anyway, thank you so much, as someone else has said, you've upped the standard! \m/
There are less and less Re 420 in service since the introduction of the Twindexx. There are still some services left, mainly international trains, but that is about to change too, in the next 1 - 2 years.
@@RailwayEmotions thanks for clarifying - you raise an interesting point, are we likely to see 460s in Singen or would Stuttgart services be taken over by more international locos such as traxx or vectron? \m/
@@RailwayEmotions so Graz would then be the only international destination for Swiss hauled carriages, unless the Austrians have plans for a multiple unit \m/
It's probably the camera's angle that makes it look slow. Most rides are filmed on wider lenses which feels like travelling faster. However this is not a high speed line, so while we aren't slow, we aren not super fast either.
Could you make a vide on how you become an engine driver I have a huge passion for these trains and my only dream is to become an engine driver, driving among beautiful locations in Switzerland:) It would be very nice to show how to become an engine driver and some requirements for it Notice: i learned signals significations already and some meaning about controls in the locomotive
@@RailwayEmotions Do you use GoPro 9 ?. I see in other videos recorded on TRAXX locos vs American locos, American motive power is equipped with very powerful sealed beam reflector while TRAXX are very weak.
5:00 Maybe someone can answer this. How come the places where there are two tracks, the train wheel doesn't touch the other track? Does one track get lowered down and another part raised up for the places the train needs to switch rails?
I just noticed that trains in Switzerland drive on the left while in other european countries trains drive on the right (if I'm sure). How so? Btw great video!
The brits influenced our railways and the rest is history. On most lines we can drive on either track freely, however the standard is using the left track.
D'Schine glänzed immer, egal ob nass oder troche. Und langsam fahre muess me uff nasse Schine nid. De Druck vo de Räder uff s'Gleiss isch so gross, dass s'Wasser erscht bi sehr höche Gschwindigkeite e Rolle spillt.
Is the driver informed by the signal and turnout operator of the route through the station throat before the journey begins, as there are many options available to achieve the same ends? I assume there is a normal progress path through for all routes designated. But maintenance, delay, others events, may require a re-route at short notice. Do not want the driver alarmed by going somewhere they where not expecting?
A cab ride at night has more interest than sitting in a carriage has. Thanks for taking us.
