6:12 I lost my mom almost a decade now 9 years ago she passed, & after a long time grieving I realize how much of a cook she was I adored & admire her cooking, Its culture & tradition I’m sad she didn’t pass down recipes to me but I’m happy there’s people like you who understand how important it is to share something so special & be reminded of times when it was easier, I’ve inherited her fire pit my grandpa made for her I can’t wait to get back on my feet to one day have a house with her pit in my back yard I miss her so much
Been BBQing for so long. Still learning how. I absolutely love all your cooking. BBQ season never ends for me. Rain, show winds and sunshine. BBQ is here year round. ❤
I really love this video Arnie! You guys are great, and I would love to cook next you two. I love how Balde wants to keep his heritage strong, and to pass along the knowledge. Thanks for the great video!!! 🍖 🔥
It's good to support local businesses. Also, it's good to preserve recipes from our parents, and our grandparents. Hope you have a Happy Easter. Cheers, Arnie! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
I loved this. I grew up with my dad doing live fire but when I started I got into smoking meats and left live fire behind. I am now lamenting that and working towards getting back into it. I love the tradition that you guys are harkening back to and trying to pass on.
Looking forward to this episode. I love Cabrito and I haven’t had any since my friend moved to D.C. I would love to learn to do it myself through your expertise. Thanks Arnie keep up the great work
The one and only time I had it, was when I lived in Colorado. 1980, ohhhh my goodness, soooooo dang on good. I've been wanting it for years now. I'm really green with envy 🍽️
Can't remember How old I was when I first ate it but my mouth still waters for that dish with beans cook with beer with fresh hand made corn tortillas 😋😋
Oh man, gimme dat cabrito! Great shows, thank you so much. I don't comment much but watch many of your shows, all 5 star. I'm an old brush goat but still kicking and learning.
Looked amazing, I love cooking cabrito with salted butter and salted butter only. No Added Salt, Pepper or anything, the cabrito falvor is enough, and well who dosen't like butter. Adding butter everytime I flip it.
Can you do some cooks on the Pro Pit Torpedo. Such a unique design, I would to see more of it action. Cook boston butts and or (beef or pork) Ribs, Keep up the great videos. I think about my grandfather and father cooking when i was a kid watching your videos
I love the open fire tutorials. It's something I've always wanted to learn how to do. Do you ever do open fire cooking with full sized goats or sheep, or is that always done barbacoa style? I was just wondering if you could do a goat or sheep on something like a Big Jav spinning asado cross.
Mann, he mentioned when fajitas was considered trash meat! Now it's high price 😫😫😆😆. Awesome cook! I'm definitely going to buy me that open fire grill from pro pitt
Interesting to have this video come up. We raise and sell goats and we have a few just a couple weeks from being weaned. We have never eaten it though. They either get sold to 4H kids or taken to the sale barn for someone to buy to do this.
Great video guys! It definitely brings back some memories. Quick question, what was the name of the the pit you made the cabrito on, does it come with the attachments, and what is the cost? Vicente
Growing up in Oklahoma my Indian friend used to call this dog did it the same way it was good I always knew he was pulling my leg the kidney thing shows th difference

The red juice in meat is not blood. It's myoglobin, the juice from the muscles. It astounds me how many seasoned chefs don't know that. Gordon Ramsay notoriously yells at his students for "bloody meat" when it's not blood. Look it up. It's called myoglobin.
It's not that they don't know, it's just easier to say that then to give a long winded explanation to people that wont believe it anyway most of the time. Thanks for trying though.
