    Would it be better to get this or somehow find a Hunter Pro C hydrawise front Panel since that would be easier to install.

      @mikedinh such a great question! YES, if you currently have a Pro-C (2014 or later), the easiest option is to purchase the Hydrawise front panel. This is part number, HPC-FP.

      I have the Hunter X-Core and want to go WiFi, which Hunter do you recommend ?

  • @halitomi

    I read somewhere that leaf-protection is not available in this model only in X2. Meaning I can not start the same zone with two different duration (long in the morning, short during the day). Is this true?

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  ปีที่แล้ว

      To do this, you will need to setup multiple programs. EXAMPLE: Program #1, 30mins @ 8am Start Time. Program #2, 7mins @ 1pm. Etc.

    Where would you recommend the controller to be installed? In the garage or the basement? Thanks!

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Scott. Great question! Given the choice, I recommend the controller be installed in the garage rather than in the basement. This will give you better access as well as any irrigation service technician that may need to access the controller. Sometimes it is necessary to operate the controller directly, not from your smart phone, and this will be so much easier if the controller is in the garage. If WiFi is not available or the signal is poor in the garage, I would then recommend the basement. -Andy

    Can this model replace the hunter pro-c controller?

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it would definitely be one of the options for replacing a ProC, especially if you are in need of WIFI capability and have a relatively small space to put the controller. Hunter makes an entire line of WIFI capable controllers now that would all be great options as a replacement for the ProC

    I have nothing but WiFi problems with this controller now. Continuously disconnects and the app keeps showing no internet even after I’m able to get it to finally connect to the WiFi. When I stand right in front of the controller I have full signal on my phone so why does this have soooo much problem connecting and staying connected. And the app is terrible at refreshing after I finally get it connected. I want to figure out a better controller from a diff company that has less problems. 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Wi-Fi can be finicky. Another great option is B-Hyve. Very stable Wi-Fi and easy phone app.

    Where is the "P" or "MV" connector ?

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @danielgonzalez_arg - the pump start and master valve connectors are located in the RED area on this particular controller. Does this help answer your question?

    • @DanielGonzalez_ARG
      @DanielGonzalez_ARG 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Andy_Humphrey Ummm.... Red area is for power IN for the controller. I talking about the connector for the pump start relay, I need to connect my relay to the C and P connector. Tipically are indicated in XCore. But I dont see where I have to connect the P connector from my relay...

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, my mistake. It appears that any zone can be assigned as a master valve, or a pump start, but not both. I’ll drop Link here to the Manuel, I believe the references on page 5.

      @@Andy_Humphrey Yes...now, it makes sense!...so... I can use a Zone connector as "P" connector. However, I think I need to setup in hydrawise software the behavior for the "zone" acting as "P".... I see that I have to indicate "MASTER VALVE" use in the software...I will investigate....thank you!

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DanielGonzalez_ARG my pleasure. It might make sense to wire the P/MV into the last available terminal (for example: zone 12) so that it is easily distinguishable. On both the mobile App, and web Software, in the "Zones & Schedules" section there is a setting to select Master Valve and then choose which zone from a drop-down list.

    Can work without internet ?

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a touch screen, so it can definitely be used without internet, but it's much easier to use and set up using the WIFI connection and an iPhone or tablet. If you aren't using the WIFI capability, we'd suggest that you'd be better off with a Hunter XCore or Pro C and should probably not purchase this model.

    • @Mangomez
      @Mangomez 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My client like the design of that controller , but do not have internet , so I can programing the station and everything same as the other controllers without internet ?

    • @Andy_Humphrey
      @Andy_Humphrey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mangomez You'd want to at least have a WIFI router installed, even if you don't have internet at that location, as the phone app is a much better way to run the controller than trying to access it directly on the front panel.
      Whatever you're gaining in design for that controller is going to be overridden by a less than optimal interface if you're not planning on using the phone app.

      @@Mangomez yes, it will work without internet, to answer your question. Did you get this model, or something else (in case you got a new controller)?
