I'm going to attend my best friend's wedding in Mozambique next year (well, depends if Covid will behave), so I'm going to surprise her with my Portuguese. I wouldn't want to burden her with translating English to Portuguese around her family and friends and I definitely wouldn't want to miss out on great conversations and moments while there. This is an AMAZING lesson. I appreciate the simple to understand explanation on top of the pronunciation (strangely, this one of the tougher things for me learning Portuguese and it's taken a lot of listening to music, watching videos such as these and walking around saying random words to get the hang of it). Has anyone made the connection that Portuguese IS from Portugal, is spoken beautifully there, there's a lot of native speakers teaching it online and on several platforms? In the video they are treating the PORTUGUESE Language as if it was only in existence in a country called BRAZIL ? They're referring and talking about brazillian culture, and blá,blá but the thing the video is promoting is just one variant adopted and heavily modified from one of Portugal's past colonies, that recently, haven't done anything other than americanize, italianize, etc it's portuguese language matrix.
