I now an old timer who use to race KX 250 back in 89 era. My last bike was a 2009 KX 250 and it brought back old memories and I loved it. I have no interest in riding any more but your review was so grass roots and real I almost feel like buying one. Good work man! That's what a review should be. Honest!! You can ride too which is an added bonus.
Same here, my last bike was a 1989 KX 250… I am 48 years old now. Over the past two years I have restored a 1985 CR 250....
I want to ride it like it should be written, but it’s a classic, I am selling it. I have never ridden a 450 4 stroke… But I might just bite the bullet...

Being that I'm more of an enduro rider and can't just pull off the track into the pits like you would at a mx track if you have a problem with the electric start, the lack of a kick start backup is kind of off-putting. Makes sense to save a smidge of weight for racing, not so much due to the lack of redundancy as youd be out of the race if the starter failed and you couldn't bump start it and or again in the case of enduro riding you'd be stranded.

Got me a 19 kx 450 and it’s my favorite bike ever. I’ve had lots of bikes even a 18 crf450r. Those were good but the kx I liked just a bit more. Brakes bite excellent, amazing suspension, great motor, and hydraulic clutch with e start.

what you mean old fashioned thats what a dirt bikes supposed to look like reminds me of the way the plastic on my 2000 kx125 is and its been quit rugged and reliable these past almost 20 years of beating up the trails seen simple crashes blow pieces of plastic of so called more modern bikes and like you said they went back to a spring front fork which goes to shoe some old tried and true tech is sometimes better. I started riding on an old 72 ts100 so I might be easily impressed though.

@@Ryanharrison69 different exhaust and for 2019 was a whole new design ground up. Sometimes hearing stuff is person compared to the camera can sound weird too

They now have a woods bike. The XC. It has shorter gearing kickstand 18 inch rear and some other things.

Title says why its a big deal??? What really would be a big deal if Kawasaki was introducing an all new KX 250 or better yet a 300 "2STROKE" MX bike. Not a freaking woods or endro bike but a motocross bike. Now that would be a big deal.. Then the average person could actually afford parts for a top end or exhaust system . Cost of anything related to the motor on a 4stroke is bull $h!+ .. That's why you can find a 4stroke for so cheap . that's also why the price of a older 2stroke have benn going up. They are easier and cheaper to work on plus fun as hell to ride...
They can make the bike but they can’t ship the bike. Even the 4T bikes have pollution devices on them. 07 was the last year for 2T. You can thank the damn tree huggers for that.

only when you ride a kx..you ride a racing engine...no other bike feels like her..strongest bike on sudden full throttle the last 13 years..drove almost all of them..nothing pulls like this in mid rpm..not even ktm...actually not even near the feeling..brutal..papers may tell different story but my hands know better
I gotta agree with that, KTM doesnt feel fast but definitely is. The KX is still there letting you know "hey, I'm gonna rip your arms off"
ktm just makes so much better top end power than all the Japanese bikes and the weight savings along with brembo brakes theres a reason their more money and i think they look gay as hell i just can put aside brand loyalty and look at facts
@@joel387ktm she aint even near to the feeling..she aint brutal and i drove 3 different ones..no other bike is so powerfull on sudden open throttle...my bike that i choose after 2 years of testing friends bikes..09 kx pulls harder than any othet bike..including a 2018 kx...not even near.... i had the money for any of them..my hands said this one
