This happened in the last 20 years. This is a global pandemic. The kids are just not interested in anything! For me, even an empty matchbox was a toy. A #GiantString. Whatever! That was India before economic liberalization and no toys apart from Leo Toys were available. Mattel cars were imported and brought in by my merchant navy uncle. Twice a year, 1-3 cars. (They have 199-500 Mattel cars and other toys). Today, apart from mobile phones and TV, I have seen all over India, kids have no bloddy interest in anything. Show them a cool, magical trick with potassium permanganate and glycerine and they look at you like you have escaped from some mental asylum and question the whole point if it! What happened?
We were making a movie, #4PMOnTheCourt, and for auditions and practice, we were obtained permission to use their court by an actress in Woodstock Appartments in Bombay. Their slides and swings were all broken and rusted. I asked the gardener, why. He told that kids stopped coming to the park in one particular month, one particular year and the maintenence of the park stopped. What was that month? The month Cartoon Network was launched in India. Fin.

While listening to Verdi's Requiem (Ricciarelli, Domingo, Verrett, Ghiaurov), I play vids w/no sound, turn on the CC. When I saw that scroll up I chuckled. Does he really say "washed" and chalked it up to the poor hearing of the algo bots YT sucks at writing.

@@IssuesWithMyTissues I figured. But YT relies on those poorly written algos to censor content. Yeah, what a terrible idea.

@@uppityglivestockian virtually EVERYTHING TH-cam does is a terrible idea. But that never stops them, does it? I'd settle for them not trampling their content writer's 1st amendment rights, and following the anti-trust laws. Like THAT'S gonna happen.🙄

@@juliebaker6969 Exactly. It's gonna take them getting busted down to a manageable size and frankly, FAANG may already be too big unless several govts join and get it done. If they just keep threatening without passing legislation, it'll just give FAANG time to get stronger.

"One can see by experience that water that has been kept on a fire for a long time freezes faster than other, the reason being that those of its particles that are least able to stop bending evaporate while the water is being heated." Rene Descartes' vortex theory. Maintaining a theory that dates back to Aristotle.

I didn't see anything freeze - just evaporate fast and visibly. Since cold air cannot get as humid as hot air, the steam stays more visible.
