    • @Cramblit
      @Cramblit 3 ปีที่แล้ว +188

      As it should be. The kid should walk away with more questions to look up himself, or keep him interested in the subject. A simple "yes or no" doesn't stimulate the mind.

    • @TheSenatorSam
      @TheSenatorSam 3 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      @@Cramblit exactly. I’ve always looked at my dad as a genius because he just seemed to know everything but I was just like him. Always questioned everything and that’s how I know everything I do today and what makes a lot of us scientists. No degrees no certificates, just the ability to learn from the simple question of “why?”

    • @Cramblit
      @Cramblit 3 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      @Swintyy
      Yes he did simplify it for the masses, but he didn't simplify it to the level the kid would fully understand either. "Yes timmy, a black hole could theoretically eat another, next question" is literally as simplified as he could have gotten, but he didn't go that simple, he still had a complex enough answer despite it being simplified to keep the kid engaged and interested, hopefully.

    • @calinasagilitypartner4444
      @calinasagilitypartner4444 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I did my student teaching in second grade. During that time, my brother died, but fir various reasons, I still went to school. While I was explaining the morning work, one child interrupted me (normally not acceptable, but it was cute in this case) and asked, "Miss G, are you awake?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Because your eyes still look like you're asleep." My heart melted one second, but then the next second I was panicking because I had to explain what happened without mentioning "brother," "died," "suicide" and without causing a million more questions. So I explained that I had upsetting news that morning, but was okay now and wanted it to be a good day. That instantly caused a million more questions, lol. So I kind of awkwardly said I needed to get back to the morning work. My cooperating teacher said she couldn't have done it better.

      Here’s a question, if matter that is swirling around these two black holes, and some of that matter is propelled into the past, can the black holes actually make extra food to eat? Matter to consume, you know the thing. If the matter is sent back to where it was a week ago, then it would double in size, and around again, and quadruple, and on and on. Or would that be some kind of paradox that would not be possible for some other strange reason?

Such teachers are really the gems among people.
