There was a famous magician in my town called Andre. He had those fish and he would be at nearly all the birthday parties I went to as a kid. We didn't really know the name of that red fish so we would call it "Uncle Andre's fish". It's interesting to see how this works! This brings me some memories of me as a child and of those birthday parties, I think it's nostalgic to me hahaha!

perhaps it does. then would it not also be suicidal, as a paper thing becoming wet inevitably becomes a messy conglomerate of fibres and pulp. But a dry paper fish, oh the things he can witness. So, really... which want does a paper fish desire... now if we're talking about chux superwipe fish, well, the answer answers itself. for he can withstand a torrential downpour as much as sit aloft the pantry, becoming stale and dry. When I was about 10 maybe 11 years old, my aunt got married and at there wedding was a hired magician who actually made my brother levitate from having him lay down on 4 chairs and slowly pulled out each one. After the amazing show that no one could explain...( Yes he moved him around and put his hand all around him. Answering ahead of time.) He gave out these amazing little fish things and I thought I could never see one again. Absolutely amazing what people come up with. Thank you for giving me live proof to my brother who actually don't remember the fish or the day that much after floating lol.

I would have guessed the heat as well.
There are some Japanese dishes (food) which are served with very thin dried fish flakes sprinkled on top which will wiggle. I thought that was heat based, but seems likely it is an effect of moisture now.
Anyways, this is simple quality content, as usual.
Bonito flakes is heat and steam, food is usually hotter than your body temp and bonito flakes are actual cell fibers as compared to this fish which is well, plastic

I got one of those fish years ago and still have it. Cool move to figure it out, I didn't. However, when I was a teen, I figured out the mood ring when I got one and found it worked more in the warm armpit. I put that on a furnace vent and sure enough. These are definately fun stuff. But yah, I didn't quite understand some of the print for the fish, so when letting a friend use that, more was put on the magic of it then what it was proposed to mean. Thanks for finding the solution to it.

These things are also in Mexico, but here are in a heart shape, and only "tell" you if you're in love. When I was a kid I also was so curious and thought it was the heat. I completely forgot these toys so thank you for answer me that question.

I’m glad I came across your video because I knew someone when I was about 7 or 8, in the late 90’s and she had a book about mermaids and inside there was a little paper pocket that had this exact same material in the shape of a mermaid in it. I remember being soo fascinated by it thinking it was a real mini mermaid, at the time I didn’t know it was cellophane.

They used to make these out of paper in the 70s. They were a penny arcade gift you could earn with mini-bowling points. The case and the fish were both paper, and morphed to plastic over the years.
