Living In Ouyen another three national parks which are worth visiting are the Big Desert, Hattah National Park & Wyperfield National Park the best times to visit is In the cooler months, Summer is way to hot & there is a high risk of wildfire I'd also like to mention that you must take your own water these parks are remote & always check the track conditions because after rain they are mud & can't be accessed.
I love the videos Brett. We, my wife and I travel alone usually as well. I'm not into the convoy, the eating the dust of the car in front thing and constant two way radio warnings of a large stick or pothole in the road, or the "It's a shame you were so far back because you did not get to see the whatever. There is also a feeling adventure when exploring alone that you don't get in a large group. Multi vehicle trips are fine, but they don't have the "It's up to us to do this, no security blanket feeling". Is this why you chose to travel alone...
Thanks Clive. In many ways yes. Also because I have no one to come with me. All my friends have settled down with kids. So just have to do it now, as I don't want to wait till I'm 70 until retirement to get the chance.
That's fair enough mate. I'm about 25 years older than you. I wished I had done more when I was younger, so I think you have the right idea. Keep traveling and perhaps one day/night we can meet around an open fire and have a beer together. Take care and keep up the great work you do. I really love your presentation and information. I'm sure that people from overseas can get a broader view of our great country from your videos...
Cheers Brett looks like another great destination, personally I prefer the pit (or long drop) amenity sites as they are less appealing to the run of the mill tourist and you often get the campsite to yourself :)

Thanks Steve. Yes still some more videos from my trip to be edited as well as random clips. Pretty sure your truck could handle it all. The tracks are fairly tame. From memory some rough sands but mostly firm.

I follow several who do, but you give a different perspective and don't use ridiculous background music. Very excellent work there Roaming!

A wicked series of absolutely gorgeous countryside. Just 1 bit of constructive criticism...your audio levels, they're up & down like a rollercoaster. I never don't wear a lapel mic weather I think I need it or not making my videos. The mic just ensures your audio levels are spot on no matter & a dead cat for when it's the least bit windy is a must imho. Otherwise your videos are amazing & really digging your great narratives & thoughts, fantastic job done. When or if I ever have a bit to spare I'll happily support ya'll on Patreon as well. Just we live on an extremely limiting income & it's all I can do to find enough to make my own videos for my channel.
Hey, I can see you have mounted your spare on ur hood, any other places you can suggest we can mount the spare if its big for the factory mounting place. Don't think mounting on roof can be easy as it will be a nightmare to put it on and take it off.
Only places are bonnet, roof and rear wheel carrier. Can't do the bonnet if its bigger then 235/85/16 as you'll lose too much visibility. Otherwise somewhere inside the vehicle if you have the room or tray if a 130.

I know this area very well. There used to be a mesh grate bolted over it as animals fall into it as they try to drink, then drown as they cannot get out, I've pulled a live goat out of it in the past. I'm guessing he'd been in there at least a week, possibly longer. I'm not sure who took took the grate off it or when it was taken off. The water is not drinkable as it's contaminated with dead things, lots of bones are visible at the bottom when it is low/empty.

Yes there were a few spots with no toilets as well. Very quiet around those spots so great for me to relax alone.

No, just the Nikon D3300 and Gopro. They may be the reason as before many of my videos were on a videocamera.
