@MIKEDRIFT I'm going to go ahead and say that, for me, it's the best experience I've had playing a video game. I'm 41. My first console was the Atari 2600, and I've had every major console since. I have NEVER logged 500 hours on any game because I get bored and move on to the next thing. A lot of people would disagree with me, but GT7 on VR2 is the goat as far as I'm concerned.
The adapter is like a dream come true. Previously I owned a HP Reverb G2 but the cord broke (twice in fact) and with support officially ending, I was hesitant to buy another one. PSVR2 adapter drops and boom, I can finally enjoy my PCVR sims again. If any Reverb G2 owners are looking for a replacement, PSVR2 is great. There is a slight drop in clarity, but the OLED panel, Comfort and Wider FOV more than make up for it.
Just swapped out my G2 for a PSVR2 too, and I couldn't agree more. What's more, the controllers (if you can get a good BT connection) are a hundred times better, and if we're lucky, in time modders might unlock more of the features that really makes this headset stand out. There's already some progress with the haptic triggers.
@@harpoon_bakery162 MSFS2020 is my main game. The image clarity, sharpness and built-in audio is a hands down win for the G2, but the PSVR has stronger colours, better contrast and TRUE black. The FOV is also noticeably larger, but unfortunately there's the mura. It's a trade-off on all of these things, and I personally don't really think I can pick a winner here.
So the 60fps vs 120hz reprojected thing is a PS5 limitation, not a PSVR2 limitation. It doesn't apply if you were to compare just the hardware with the new PCVR adapter.

How would the Crystal Light compare to Quest3 in PCVR with a 4090? I have one and love it, just returned the PSVR2 (again) and considering getting a Crystal Light too, worth it or not that much of a jump from Quest3?

The Pimax Crystal Light shows more detail, and it is sharp and clear even in the distance. I feel like I can see miles away. Is it worth the extra cost...? That all depends on the person. I feel it is worth it. I went with the Light House Face Plate Version because I already own the Base Stations and Controllers. I want to upgrade my PCVR headset. Which was a Modified Vive Pro with the GearVR lenses and Wireless adapter. I have a lot of VR Headsets. I can proudly say Pimax Crystal Light is the best VR headset I own. Still worth more than $700 with the pc adaptor. VR is just 100x better than any limited flatscreen device, and is still in its early stage althought it still lack decent apps and support
The Pimax is a great bit of kit, Kireth, and I say that as a PS5 owner. If you have a decent enough PC, then it's probably a no-brainer. The case for the VR2 would be strongest if the potential owner already had a PS5. Then that person would be able to access both PC and PS5 libraries. A PC/Pimax owner would not have access to those titles. Re the lenses, I wear glasses and have the VR Optician lenses. I used to wear the glasses whilst in the headset, but they scratched the lenses of the VR2, necessitating repair (free under warranty - good on you, Sony!). I now have a set of extension rings to sit over the lenses so as not to let anything scratch my headset lenses. i only put these on the headset if demo-ing the headset to someone who wears glasses. Great comparison, as always.
