This movie shows how life passes. Moe’s place goes from bustling restaurant surrounded by his own in his youth, to a lowly place that’s ready to go when he is.

Maybe I'm an old soul, but even as a kid I always loved old looking delis and restaurants NOT filled with so many annoying people. The decor, lighting and dark old wood make want to hang out and enjoy time with myself or just one other person.

    Yeah, this scene, blimey!
So I was watching the film start to tell it’s story, as an viewer/audience member would do, and then this scene came….
I admired the visual storytelling without dialogue, but Ennio Morricone’s score absolutely took my breath away!
It almost instantly made me cry. Once I heard this theme in all its glory in this scene, I knew that what I was watching was a genuine masterpiece of cinema!
The only other time that made me feel like this was Jill’s entrance in ‘Once Upon A Time In The West!’ Again had me weeping!
I love John Williams and Hans Zimmer, along with many other composers, but there’s something about Ennio Morricone’s scores that set apart from others for me.
The greatest film composer ever I think!
    RIP ❤️

@@greatstuff8554 yes he had good/present family and he was "clean" he didn't needed to be a gangster but he still cooperated with them. My point was that noodles goes with Moe,sleeps in his home, acts like a friend and we know what he did to his sister and therefore him and his family in general. Even after Deborahs rape/first opium den.. he goes in Moe's plaice and asks him "you could look for me?" It shows me how disgraceful and bastard noodles was.

@@Gma00001 Absolutely. Rewatch the film with that in mind and you'll appreciate what Leone made in a much deeper way. If you want a detailed explanation I can do that, but it will involve spoilers. This movie can be seen once without really questioning the ending and certain other clues, and you'll enjoy it. Leone's goal was to make a film that can be watch multiple times to truly understand it.

@@Gma00001 I had seen it a couple of times and always wondered what was up with the frisbee, Noodles' smile and the ending? I stumbled on the opium hallucination/dream idea in the comments to a clip. I had to go back and watch it again and damn if it doesn't work. I really began to think about my initial questions and why Leone included those breadcrumbs. I figured out the answers and a new found appreciation for Sergio Leone. They say he planned this movie for seven years and now I know why.
