I love Devyce! I've been a digital nomad for 6 years and keeping my UK number is essential. I made 3's 'Feel at Home' work for most of that time but after (fortunately) getting stuck in Vietnam when COVID hit, 3 started to have an issue with me not returning to the UK on a regular basis. After 3 cut me off for a second time (after promising BOTH times they wouldn't, when I explained my situation), I looked for another option. When I found Devyce, I jogged on both 3 and Skype. Now, I make and receive calls with one app for less money. It's such a great solution.
Hi JK Burrows, we totally agree!. We both had '3' accounts before we started our travels and realised we wouldn't be able to keep them as we didn't plan to return to the UK that often! Sorry that you had that bad experience with them during such awful times. We spent a long time trying to find a service that met all of our needs and we found Devyce which has been absolutely perfect! It's brilliant. @@2GoRoam Yes, it wasn't ideal being cut off and having to get SIM cards sent from the UK. To be honest, I'm glad they did it a second time because it forced to me to find a better alternative. Like you, I think it's brilliant - if a little glitchy at times but that's probably more to do with my phone! I'm in Guatemala at present as my partner's from here. She also works online, so we've housesat our way around the world since 2016 - mainly in the UK but also places like Tuscany, Penang, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and San Francisco. Obviously, it's a bit more difficult at the minute but we hope to return to that lifestyle again soon :) If you come to Guatemala, give us a shout and we'll show you around Antigua :) Stay safe! Funny story, when the door lock arrived I simply couldn't work out how it worked, then I thought that however it works it looks rubbish... so ignored it for a couple of days. Congrats on your upcoming trip! Its wonderful that things are opening back up after a year of lockdown. We were able to re-book a trip to the Grand Canyon that we had to cancel during the pandemic. It's wonderful to get back out there, isn't it? Looking forward to seeing your videos from Mexico!
