Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle in the made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income. We are currently in Greece enjoying our retirement...
Wow! We're so happy we discovered your videos. It's evident that you spend lots of time in producing such a polished product. My wife and I are very appreciative of your efforts and are now subscribers. Safe travels!
I have so much respect for you both. Running a channel is way more work than one would expect both timewise and emotionally, and you both bring a genuineness that is often lacking, but so much appreciated. Ignore the trolls - there are many of us cheering you on. So happy to see the channel growing!
Check out Green Hill Apartments in CM. It is just around the cornor from Maya Mall. You can get a real nice furnished place for a lot cheaper month to month. They also have a very nice pool and breakfast resturant. A lot of retirees stay here when they vist and they have month to month last time was there. - Great Video - thanks for sharing your journey.
Hey Traveler! Thank you so much for getting in touch and leaving us a great positive comment. We have been inundated with comments in the last week and we're both struggling to keep up with the replies but we wanted you to know that we have read your comment and we discuss every one of them as we see them between us and we are humbled that you took time to get in touch, we will indeed check that place out, thank you. Thanks again, people like you make this channel tick! We are planning to set aside a day a week to reply to comments, so please keep them coming. Best wishes Neil & Sarah
Thank you for these Great Videos!.....I travel the World through internet videos , Rick Steves, and Rudy Maxa......I really appreciate you sharing your experiences (good /bad) with us.....Safe and Happy Travels......Godspeed..
Hey Jim! Thank you so much for getting in touch and leaving us a great positive comment. Yes you have to realise this is your dream & we are just along for the ride. I only came across your channel on 19/05/22 & have watched several within the space of a few hours. You are now in Thailand were I spent several month's & really enjoyed, so I'm sure you will also enjoy yourselves. I too spent a little time in Chang Mai while you are up north you may want to check out Pai I never got time to go there but I believe it's great place to just kick back & chill. Don't forget some of the island's Koh Samui is wonderful, Koh Phi Phi a must & although not an island Krabi has the island feel. I was pleasantly surprised you guy's had been to San Miguel de Allende as I was going to help a friend move from Bermuda to San Miguel but her house purchase fell through but from what she told me about the place years ago it is somewhere I do plan to visit. As an artist maybe I'll get chance to create a mural there one day. Like I said this is your dream & there are many of us out here that appreciate you sharing it with us & also educating people in a down to earth relaxed way. As for any trolls you need to try & switch off from these, many of them just sit behind a keyboard spouting bile because of the horrible lives they allow themselves to live. I wish you both the best of luck with your future adventure. Regards Alan 🙂👍
Gosh - not much more I can add to what others have so well said. First off, we truly enjoy our Saturday mornings with you two - no matter what you are up to! Second, you are living your life by example and that continues to inspire and educate us. And three, you do you! Making these videos is a joy for us and a lot of that is because you two seem to be enjoying making them. So keep following your heart and instinct - and we'll enjoy what comes next!
Hey Ashley! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as ever! So cool and we love hearing from you in the comments too. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing comments come in from people that we now see as friends from afar. Thank you Ashley! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
My husband and I look forward to watching your videos every Saturday. We retired April 2021, sold our home but kept our cottage. We’re now starting our semi-nomadic life. We’ve gotten great tips from your videos but mostly, even if we’ve never met, feel like we’re watching a couple of friends on their adventures. 👍
Hey Marie! Really appreciate the comment, that is so cool for you to say. It is interesting that TH-cam is not TV, it is normal people talking to normal people and there is something quite special in that. We hope we meet you on our adventures! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Cheers Neil and Sarah. I found your videos I believe on your second video I look forward to watching them every week. Whilst we are not retired yet, we do make some small trips each year and 1-2 big trips. Yes we do them on a budget. I love your cost of living videos. It helps with our trip planning now and in the future. Please keep up the videos and enjoying your life slow travelling. You are an inspiration.
Hey Chris! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! From the 2nd video?! and you stuck around?! haha! Good on you! This comment is so uplifting! Thanks so much Chris! We appreciate it. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Well done! I am a new subscriber, seasoned traveler and find your presentations very informative as is beyond the norm. Montenegro and Turkey are now added to my list. Thailand will come later.
Hey Marie! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That is really cool that someone doing it is getting something from our videos. Turkey is stunning and we can't wait to get to Montenegro also. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hi Neil and Sarah, I’d like to say thank you for the hard work and for sharing your experiences with us. My wife and I enjoy watching the videos and have learned a lot from the work that you have done. We enjoy your transparency and sense of humor. Please keep things going but even one video a month would be great, you guys need to enjoy your journey. Travel safe and continued best of luck to you both.
Hey Russ! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Really appreciate that you can see how much work this can be. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Well done, it does test relationships for sure after 2 years travelling around the World my then wife decided she did not want to travel anymore she wanted to return to her coffee shop job in the U.K. move back to her flat. I did not want to return to the U.K. hence now live in Thailand. Enjoy Chang Mai, you must visit Pai about 2 hrs from you. Enjoy.
Hey Dream! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Interesting insight and sounds like the dream didn't quite work out for you but we are pleased to see you are still out in Thailand. We will visit Pai, looking forward to seeing it. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey Bracebarian! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We were rather proud of this vido. Thanks so much. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
You're doing great! We really like the videos, guys! When we were selling everything last summer, you guys were very inspirational to us. We also love shooting video but I wanted to rest awhile after retirement and then begin a YT channel when I was ready. Our timing was a bit different and we flew to Europe and sold our home from France and Portugal. Since then we've bought a little place in Mexico and an RV here in Canada. Never a dull moment:)
Hey Jessie! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That is really cool. Little tip from us if you do get round to having a TH-cam channel, make sure you shoot little snippets now as you will find later, those looking back elements will be great for your videos. We would love to RV in Canada! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hi, I am one of your new subscribers here in Indonesia. The reason I watch you is to enlighten me on some things I migr bot know even though my situatiion is muct too different. I never planbed but ended myself luving as a retiree in my own country after living in Milan, Italy, as home base. lived in many iother countrues prior due to my late Italian Engineer husband abd being a widow of 8 years, I live in his pension. I do run a BnB as a hobby and side ibusibess although it's not a constant income. Still trying to adjust and I live luving on my own. Your content is something that U like to watch. Also, I used to live in London 5 years many many moons agon😊😊
I have watched all of your videos and I think they are all great! You are trying to help people do what you are doing, travel the world.. meeting people of all cultures and experiencing different lifestyles. Forget and dismiss the detractors and focus on what you are doing and especially enjoy what you are doing.. maybe one day we can meet up in our travels..regards from Australia
Hey Char! Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. We hope we get to meet you somewhere too. Do keep in touch! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
We love hanging with you for a bit each week when your content drops! As much as we appreciate the information you present with costs, we are here to spend some time with you. We enjoy the laughs and are here to give you a hug when ever you need it. Love you guys!
Hey Annette! That is super cool to read and brought a tear to my eye (Neil typing this btw!) we can't wait to meet you both sometime soon. Get over to SE Asia will you :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Good morning from Canada. You two are a breath of fresh air in a crowded youtube travel vlog space. The genuine affection displayed for each other is wonderful. Please continue to share your pov in these unique settings. Remember that the lives you have lived thus far have provided you both with an outlook and charm that cannot be replicated by any other young, energetic youtube travel couple. Finding the balance is the key; being yourselves is the secret sauce to delivering a sustainable product on this platform. Continued success to you both. Finally, a word of caution, Thailand videos are ubiquitous and repetitive. Today's Vlog was a great example of approaching a topic with a distinctive perspective. Have a great week! From your two new fans, Brian and Iewen, Cheers.
Hey Contrarians! Thanks for getting in touch, thank you so much for this thought provoking comment. We appreciate this kind of thinking very much as it helps us develop personally. Also we agree with your point about Thailand videos, we will be treading careful and is another reason why we want to focus on us, money, retirement and travel rather than the country itself. But to make videos on those subjects with the jawdropping backdrop of Thailand will hopefully be good. We will see :-) Thanks again. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hello from Mexico. Thank you for your hard work bringing us these videos. We love Chiang Mai. We are a 62 year old married couple who love to travel. Currently we are expats in a town near Guadalajara. We have been expats for six years and travel for up to 5 weeks at a time. We have a home and dogs currently but are looking at your lifestyle in a few years from now when our furry kids have passed on. We bought a house in Mexico and although much cheaper than other places it is more expensive to maintain than we thought and the wear and tear on our vehicle is substantial. Also this area is getting increasingly expensive due to the number of gringos moving here. For the time being we will continue to dream and gather information through your videos. Thanks again and enjoy Thailand, one of our favorite places in the world.
Hey Janice! And we love Mexico. We nearly got to Guadalajara last year but has to head back to the UK so our plans flexed. Getting property is complicated isn't it, we know that Central Mexico is really seeing an uptick of gringos so you may have bought at the right time. Best wishes Neil & Sarah
Hey Enid! Thank you for the kind comment, hope you enjoy our content as we go forward! This kind of comment keeps our smile big :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hi Neil and Sarah, As a new subscriber i really appreciate your channel, Thankyou. Whilst you were in Chaing Mai did you manage to come across "TH-cam" channel called Brett Dev he's from the UK, He has now lived and worked in Chaing Mai Thailand for the past 7 years , he would be a great as a relevant interview guest on your channel
Thank you for another great addition of your Saturday show. You know I love traveling with you and even though I'm not going to do what you do I always enjoy hearing all of the topics you cover on your journey including costs. And I guess- whatever you want to talk about. But that's because I fit the description of most of your viewers. (Clever, intelligent and funny) People who leave mean comments obviously don't fit in that category and should leave. I admire you for proceeding with your travel during a pandemic. Who knew this would happen and last for so long??!!! I don't think you could do it without the flexibility that you have, and I have always said that about even traveling when regular vacationing to places like Mexico. Geeze, I love your transparency. I get choked up when you talk about your loss. Anyone of us who has experienced that pain knows that it just sucks. Finally, what do you mean the air con isn't on in the lobby in the mornings? That's just wrong. I'm taking Thailand off of my list.
Hey Debby! Firstly.... the Aircon in the lobby.... that is crazy right?! This is very cool and we thank you. It is lovely to hear that you seem to just love hanging with us, very cool indeed. When did you drop your first comment? One of our originals and we love that you stick around. It feels like we have friends on this journey with us and for that we thank you. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam I started following you two-10 months ago when you were setting rafts free at Excellence Cancun. I really laughed at that perspective since we are All Inclusive freaks. It works out great for us since my better half uses a mobility scooter these days and we are glad we did excursions like climbing Chichén Itza when it was allowed and we were able to do it. Hence we enjoy traveling vicariously with you. Thank you for showing us the world and providing the laughs while letting us get to know you along the way. It is WAY more interesting then just watching a travel show. It is personal. And I always think about the work involved. It is -at the very least- a part time job so I can sit back in my chair and watch the show. Looking forward to next week!
Yay! You made it to Chiang Mai! Great place and excited to see the accommodations. Looking forward to seeing what places/activities pull you in. We made it to a McDonald’s of course(been to one in a majority of the countries we’ve visited), but eating at the stalls in the markets was far superior. Also, the Doikham Panoramic Viewpoint and the Royal Flora garden were amazing!
Hey Aura! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as ever! We actually want to go to MacDonalds here at some point as we have heard they have some local gems in there too? We can't wait to start exploring! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Don't worry about getting nasty comments. 2 things you must know about TH-cam, people will leave a nasty comment just to get to you, they are called trolls and they enjoy getting people mad or upset. The second thing to know about nasty comments are some people hate their lifes and have boring lifes so they try to bring others down. So in a nutshell. Ignore nasty comments. Enjoy Thailand
Hey David! Thanks for getting in touch, you speak a lot of sense. I guess some people are spending too much time getting angry watching other people live their lives. Funny old world eh. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Good morning from New Zealand! I have been binge watching your channel and hurry home from work to watch the next episode. You are both so warm and genuine! Sorry to hear about your mum Neil, I can relate to being far away from family (mine are in UK). I was wondering now you are in Asia will you be visiting Bali? It's such a beautiful island with such an interesting culture, the people are so welcoming and helpful. It's very cheap to live there and the foods amazing and cheap. I wish you both good health, wealth and happiness in your future travels! Take care.
Hey Jessy! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! How cool that you rush home to see us!!! Thank you for telling us that, makes us smile :-) Basically.... yes. We have 9 years of travel ahead of us and Bali like many places is on the list and we will go there for sure. Nice thing for us at the moment is we wake up not knowing where we will be a month from now and that is a cool feeling. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I'm just getting started on your videos and so far, I find them very fun. I'm keen to follow your cost of living information. I'm already retired and waiting on my wife to do the same in a couple of years. In the interim, I am looking out for how we will enjoy our retired life together. You guys remind me of the relationship my wife and I have...one where we enjoy being with each other as much as possible. I look forward to watching many, many more of your videos and wish you the best on your journey.
Watching Sarah's face as you spoke of your mom's passing put a lump in my throat..she just about held it together...you both deserve success. I'll keep watching (although I have to admit to the odd schadenfreude when things go belly up too!!!).
Hey Niall! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That was a difficult moment and we needed to cut filming for a short time. We all like a bit of schadenfreude eh :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
You are both enjoyable people. I like your frankness & honesty. It’s so refreshing. Enjoy your adventures & thank you for taking us along with you.. much love✨
Sure, Chiangmai is in the north of Thailand, but gets very hot in March thru May. Not any cooler than Bangkok. I was there in March/April and it was too hot hot for me, so I went down to Koh Samui instead. It’s a lot further south, but about 10-15 degrees ( Fahrenheit) cooler than Chiangmai.
Sarah, you had me laughing with your banter @6:45 '...our monthly relationship Check-in, well the next one is tomorrow and I am going to look forward to that...'
Love the channel I’m gonna do some reverse math here you say 35k annual budget and you talk about 4% rule .. 35000 divide by 4% is £875k… you said budget has a bit of cushion in it so your FI number was around 900k to 1 million…. Which is around what I am aiming for
Brilliant video again guys, love the honesty, and please ignore the haters! You're doing really well on views for each of your videos too, well done. How safe does it feel to be in Thailand? I ask as our son will be traveling there for 6 weeks in June. Thanks as always and glad you're finding a sustainable format to produce your videos, as we all want to watch them long term, and don't want you to get burnt out! Yes pleased you'll continue to input all things FIRE, cost of living, and showcasing the wonderful places you are visiting! Great work guys :)
Excellent videos, really great perspective and thought provoking as age wise I am equivalent. Also, very smart not to even hint at what you have asset wise as many places have great people BUT there is always the chance of someone malicious knowing exactly where you are and how much you have to pay them to get away from them. I'm definitely hooked on your videos and the places you have been. Keep them coming.
Hey QuoVadis! Thank you so much for getting in touch and leaving us a great positive comment. We have been inundated with comments in the last week and we're both struggling to keep up with the replies but we wanted you to know that we have read your comment and we discuss every one of them as we see them between us and we are humbled that you took time to get in touch and also to leave a question. Thanks again, people like you make this channel tick! We are planning to set aside a day a week to reply to comments, so please keep them coming. Best wishes Neil & Sarah
Really enjoying your videos! Just found you this morning and have been powering through. I retired early in March of 2020 to slow travel.. then.. the universe laughed and a moved to gardening. (Always good to have a plan B I guess). Now that things are looking better I’ve been dreaming of getting back out there (after the garden burns up here in Texas.. lol not far away from those 100 degree days). Look forward to learning more from you guys. Oh.. and check out Kara and Nate, he’s a super detailed money guy and for the first like 5 years they had quarterly income and expenses reports that they did on a blog style. Maybe that’s an idea for those of us that nerd out on financial statements 😉
Hey Jeanie! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We love Kara and Nate, they are the people that gave us the bug to travel in the first place. Thank you for watching all our videos, that is pretty cool! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Enjoying your videos. Nice pace and good info. Worth remembering the old adage …”Those who can, do. Those who can’t, criticize.” Carry on please and thank you for sharing your experiences.
I like the costs and numbers. What I tell people on my channel about retiring early is that you have to figure out what you want your life to look like in retirement and then you can see how much that life costs, and THEN you will know how much you need to retire. People come up with a retirement number and then try to fit their life into that number and I think they have it backwards.
Guy’s you got to remember you are retired, maybe don’t me so structured. Your videos are outstanding and informative. SE Asia will be a good fund consolidation for you. Have fun guy’s and keep up the good work.
Neil and Sarah - What an informative video about the highs and the lows. My husband and I retired 2 weeks ago and we leave on a 4 month long trip in about a month. Haven't sold the house but do have 2 good housesitters. Nevertheless the length of this trip is making me nervous! The points you raise in this video are all things I have been thinking about. Elder family members - should we be leaving? Will we miss family and friends and how can we stay in touch regularly, being together 24/7 etc etc. I think you are incredibly gutsy to put yourselves out there like you have and having followed you from almost the beginining you need to know that I continue to look forward to Saturday morning to see where you are at and what tidbits of infomation you are going to share. You HAVE been an inspiration because you are someone I can relate to (age and stage of life)! You two put Mexico on my must go to list and so anxious to hear and see a bit about your experiences in Thailand! Take Care! Sandy
Hey Sandra! Thanks for getting in touch, if you do Mexico and Thailand then you will be over the moon with those choices. With regard to the challenges you face we would say if you break each of them down into their component parts and address each of them intentionally you will see the problems disappear. Leaving family and friends is the hardest, building the engagement model for ensuring you stay as close while you travel is a good intentional step. Example for me, (Neil), I do my dad's online grocery shop for him every week without fail, where ever we are in the world and that gives some normality to what we do. I talk to him at least every other day and sometimes it can feel difficult to talk about what we are doing as I am sure it can feel like bragging.... "Oh us? What did we do today? Oh nothing much, we went to see some Buddhist temples. Visiting a water market then watched the sunset from our balcony.... you?" when it isn't at all, it is just our life at the moment. So to have some level of normalcy is great. Hope that makes sense. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I think your very brave . I’m enjoying your vlogs and finding them interesting and entertaining . Keep up the good work and ignore the negative comments 😊👍
Hey Joel! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Philippines is on our list, we will be there soon enough. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Just discovered your videos and you guys are my new heroes. Clearly your super power is slow travel. I just subscribed and look forward to watching your entire catalog of videos.
I'm glad you are still tracking the cost at each location. Your explaining the cost of living during slow travel has been just as interesting to me as the locations.
Hey Erick! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We get that, it was exactly what we wanted before we started this life of slow travel. So we are working out a way that we can share that information without impacting on the channel, which it has done over the last year. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Love your honesty and willingness to share the realities you experience. Gosh, i can't believe that people are mean to you - there's nobody more genuine or more fun to watch!! I think you both are terrific, so chin up! Keep on doing what you are doing. I for one am always thankful that you are willing to both share and put so much effort into making your experiences public. How unrealistic would it be to keep sharing the cost of living vids if you know people don't watch them? You are growing and learning and sharing. Who's life stays the same, who doesn't start something then change things after re-evaluating a task. Hello - that's the bottom line for any project. I for one hope you continue. Have I mentioned that i really enjoy and value your channel! Thank you in advance for whatever you feel you can keep on doing.
Hey you two, glad to see you guys experimenting to find a balance when it comes to content creation and enjoying your retirement. The topics we get excited about have evolved over time for us as well. There are no rules except being your authentic selves, which you certainly are. Keep up the great work.
I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now and love your honesty and authenticity. I found this video enlightening and appreciate you sharing such personal details. Your financial advice has motivated us to make changes to how we spend our money. We will not be able to retire earlier, but hopefully, in making these changes we will be able to spend more time travelling. Thanks for what you do and keep up the great work.
Hey Ann Marie! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We made a video a few months ago about traveling without healthcare and we are planning another video looking at healthcare in a couple of months time too. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
So good that you turned the question around about your financial details!! You are right- we don't need to know! However, you have shared your daily travel details and associated expenses by location and that is really helpful! Enjoy Chang Mai and do check our the elephants!! I would love to see a picture of you both together riding one! PS Be careful not to drop any bananas while you're doing it! Elephants love bananas as I found out! Stay safe!
Hey Gordon! Really appreciate the comment, thank you for the support on the financial thing. We can't wait to get out and see what Chiang Mai has to offer us :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Great to see y’all in Asia! I was wondering when you would venture out of Europe again. Can’t wait to see your adventures over the next few months. I’m floored you could get an AirBnB for under $25 USD a day! That is an amazing price. Everyone wants to know people’s FI number. It helps us gauge how we are doing on the FIRE journey. But I understand not sharing it so openly.
Thank you, and thank you for sharing so candidly your personal experiences with all of us. It’s pretty insightful, absolutely useful at this stage of our life and if I may, I think I feel where’re you coming from. My wife and I enjoy watching your videos and whenever in Jakarta and/or Bali we are just a text away and happy to catchup in person or provide any information you may need. Stay well and loved as you are! Manos & Diane
I would just like to say bravo. You are definitely the most real couple, the most honest and the most inspiring. We are slow travelling for 5 months, escaping Canadian winters and living every minute of doing it Our way. This year, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece. We are now back in Canada enjoying our homeland. It can be done, everyone just has to figure out what's best for them. Thank you from, Ted and Sherry
Hey AG! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We use a company called SafetyWing due to the simplicity and it is a company created by nomads for nomads. We will talk more medical in the coming weeks. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Love your videos and love your honesty and humility. A true inspiration as travelers and as a couple. So sad to hear you have had some bad comments - can’t imagine why anyone would do that! Your videos are a highlight of the week and can’t wait to see how you get on in Asia as it’s somewhere we plan to spend a lot of time as soon as we are FIRED. Also love your cost of living videos! Thank you, thank you!
Talking of airbnb. Hope this may help someone.. we were going to lose our money because of covid . if you can contact the HOST of the property to cancel the booking then you get a full refund .. and to our relief that's what happened to us
@@2GoRoamhave you got x5 qualifying years after 2016 (and x30 before that). Retired early and only just discovered my 42 years don’t all count as qualifying years under the new rules in 2016.
So lovely! Thank you for your honesty and wonderful sense of reality with a pinch of humour! Condolences on the loss of your Mum. The times we are in makes us want to do more. Time has become so very precious now.
Hey Faeth! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Thank you for your very kind words, we appreciate it. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I understand about not sharing a saved amount but I would be interested in if you have your funds invested and if yes how: equities, bonds, cash, etc. The second question would be: do you have a maximum monthly budget you try to stick to? Third, it sounds like most of your free time is taken up by video production and editing - at least in the past - so you have purpose and meaning in retirement. But what would you advise for those of us who are not producing videos and find reading a book on the beach or visiting tourist destinations after awhile in one place not all that meaningful in the long term, as to how we could create purpose and meaning in slow travel or 3-6 month residency some where? We gravitate to counties that offer quality volunteer opportunities in a language we can understand or learn (i.e., Canada, New Zealand, Spain, etc.), but as you said it takes a while to break into some circles. Finally, don’t understand why someone would leave negative comments. Shameful! Thank you for sharing and talking about the issues many are afraid to ask out load.
Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. I’m 40 and my husband 44 we are both retired with over $1 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle in the made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income. Two thumbs up! Very nice! You are a pleasure to watch and I am learning a lot.
Awesome, thank you!

Very informative, thank u for sharing your beautiful journey.
Nice! I know I'm only one person, but I was attracted and now subscribed for the 'retire early and travel' sort of content. Nice work, thanks :)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I guys really enjoying this video.Thank you very much for all your efforts
My husband and I look forward to watching your videos every Saturday. We retired April 2021, sold our home but kept our cottage. We’re now starting our semi-nomadic life. We’ve gotten great tips from your videos but mostly, even if we’ve never met, feel like we’re watching a couple of friends on their adventures. 👍
Hey Marie!
Really appreciate the comment, that is so cool for you to say. It is interesting that TH-cam is not TV, it is normal people talking to normal people and there is something quite special in that. We hope we meet you on our adventures!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Great couple and great content. Peace and prosperity.

Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
This is my second video as a viewer. It looks like work rather than retirement. No thanks 🙏 but a great vicarious watch without the dog collar.
I tend to agree it’s become a full time job in tourism videography.
Excellent! i loe what you are doing ... hopefully I will be there in a few years
Hey Carmel!
Thank you, that sounds really cool. Appreciate you getting in touch. Lovely words.
Best regards,

Hi you guys are so cool we love watching you- lots of love Mervyn and Maggi
Hi Neil and Sarah, I’d like to say thank you for the hard work and for sharing your experiences with us. My wife and I enjoy watching the videos and have learned a lot from the work that you have done. We enjoy your transparency and sense of humor. Please keep things going but even one video a month would be great, you guys need to enjoy your journey. Travel safe and continued best of luck to you both.
Hey Russ!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Really appreciate that you can see how much work this can be.

Great video. Thank you. I'm sorry to hear that you get unhelpful or upsetting comments.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Love what you doing ! Keep it up ! Love your TH-cam videos and channel
Another great video or vido 🙂. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Bracebarian!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We were rather proud of this vido. Thanks so much.

Best regards,
Neil & Sarah

Get over to SE Asia will you :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Thank you for the awesome inside look at a beautiful couple doing what they love. Keep posting these awesome videos.
7K 🤩🥳 I started watching you less then a week ago and it was 4K! Love your channel! ❤️
We will see :-)
Thanks again.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I started watching your channel recently, you are a lovely couple and I wish you lots of health and happiness in your travels
Thank you for your videos. I enjoyed your content.
Best wishes
Neil & Sarah
I love your videos! Focus on the positive! You are lovely
Hey Enid!
Thank you for the kind comment, hope you enjoy our content as we go forward! This kind of comment keeps our smile big :-)

@@2GoRoam you guys are the best!
So are you!
Hello from Canada! You guys rock! Just discovered your channel. Cheers.
Hi Neil and Sarah, I really enjoy your videos. I’ve learned so much from your experiences. You are much appreciated.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Don't worry about getting nasty comments.
2 things you must know about TH-cam, people will leave a nasty comment just to get to you, they are called trolls and they enjoy getting people mad or upset.
The second thing to know about nasty comments are some people hate their lifes and have boring lifes so they try to bring others down. So in a nutshell. Ignore nasty comments. Enjoy Thailand
Hey David!
Thanks for getting in touch, you speak a lot of sense. I guess some people are spending too much time getting angry watching other people live their lives. Funny old world eh.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
What? You not skipping in the field hand in hand?. Lol, awesome. Thanks for the experience through your journey!. Hello from California.
Hopefully our path will cross somewhere down the road. Flying out in September!
Hey Robert!
Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. We do hope so!

Neil & Sarah
Thank you for all the info!
Hope you are both okay thanks for sharing really helpful
Thank you for telling us that, makes us smile :-)
Basically.... yes. We have 9 years of travel ahead of us and Bali like many places is on the list and we will go there for sure. Nice thing for us at the moment is we wake up not knowing where we will be a month from now and that is a cool feeling.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Another good video guys congrats on your jump in subscriptions.
Neil and Sarah, I appreciate all the work you do to deliver new videos each week. I look forward to them. Thank you for your authentic content.
Hey Kimberly!
Thanks for getting in touch as ever! And we appreciate you and your lovely comments more than you realise.

Neil & Sarah
We all like a bit of schadenfreude eh :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
You are both enjoyable people. I like your frankness & honesty. It’s so refreshing. Enjoy your adventures & thank you for taking us along with you.. much love✨
Sure, Chiangmai is in the north of Thailand, but gets very hot in March thru May. Not any cooler than Bangkok.
I was there in March/April and it was too hot hot for me, so I went down to Koh Samui instead. It’s a lot further south, but about 10-15 degrees ( Fahrenheit) cooler than Chiangmai.
You are doing a great job on your TH-cam videos- very enjoyable
Hey Amy!
Thank you, means a lot that you stop by to let us know.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Sarah, you had me laughing with your banter @6:45 '...our monthly relationship Check-in, well the next one is tomorrow and I am going to look forward to that...'
Love the channel I’m gonna do some reverse math here you say 35k annual budget and you talk about 4% rule .. 35000 divide by 4% is £875k… you said budget has a bit of cushion in it so your FI number was around 900k to 1 million…. Which is around what I am aiming for
Great round up...and we don't think you've ever had and mishaps that were detrimental....just life lessons. Thank you for yet another enjoyable vlog.
I just did the same thing and can’t wait to get back to Thai
Go for it . Spend some time in Chiang Ria.. good luck.
Best wishes
Neil & Sarah

Neil & Sarah
Enjoying your videos. Nice pace and good info. Worth remembering the old adage …”Those who can, do. Those who can’t, criticize.” Carry on please and thank you for sharing your experiences.
Hey Jan!
Really appreciate the comment, indeed you are right but it can cut of course. Comments like yours help a lot.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I like the costs and numbers. What I tell people on my channel about retiring early is that you have to figure out what you want your life to look like in retirement and then you can see how much that life costs, and THEN you will know how much you need to retire. People come up with a retirement number and then try to fit their life into that number and I think they have it backwards.
There is no way to know what inflation will be in the future.
@@Growmap My money comes from rental properties, so it goes up with inflation. No worries here.
Guy’s you got to remember you are retired, maybe don’t me so structured. Your videos are outstanding and informative. SE Asia will be a good fund consolidation for you. Have fun guy’s and keep up the good work.
Hey Drifter!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! thank you so much! Appreciate the wise words.

Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Appreciate the honesty! Great video

I love your videos and really enjoy the financial breakdown in each area and weekly budget. Well done!!!
I think your very brave . I’m enjoying your vlogs and finding them interesting and entertaining . Keep up the good work and ignore the negative comments 😊👍
Oh y’all are such a pleasure to watch and very relatable. The videos are high quality and informative. Thank you! 😊
This is a good tip for you. Go to the Philippines. It’s cheaper and lots of Filipinos love subscribing to vloggers like you showing off their country.
Hey Joel!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Philippines is on our list, we will be there soon enough.

Just discovered your videos and you guys are my new heroes. Clearly your super power is slow travel. I just subscribed and look forward to watching your entire catalog of videos.
Hey Jerry!
Really appreciate the comment, how amazing for you to suggest we are your heroes! You sound pretty cool.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I'm glad you are still tracking the cost at each location. Your explaining the cost of living during slow travel has been just as interesting to me as the locations.
Hey Erick!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We get that, it was exactly what we wanted before we started this life of slow travel. So we are working out a way that we can share that information without impacting on the channel, which it has done over the last year.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Do what makes you happy. It will do the same for many others and the rest can watch something else. We are currently visiting Croatia for a month.
Hey you two, glad to see you guys experimenting to find a balance when it comes to content creation and enjoying your retirement. The topics we get excited about have evolved over time for us as well. There are no rules except being your authentic selves, which you certainly are. Keep up the great work.
Great video! So glad you continue to invest the time to keep sharing with us!
Love your videos! Have you covered health care issues? Many thanks from NYC.
Hey Ann Marie!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We made a video a few months ago about traveling without healthcare and we are planning another video looking at healthcare in a couple of months time too.

@@2GoRoam Thanks so much!
We can't wait to get out and see what Chiang Mai has to offer us :-)

Great to see y’all in Asia! I was wondering when you would venture out of Europe again. Can’t wait to see your adventures over the next few months.
I’m floored you could get an AirBnB for under $25 USD a day! That is an amazing price.
Everyone wants to know people’s FI number. It helps us gauge how we are doing on the FIRE journey. But I understand not sharing it so openly.
Hey Nabil!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as usual! Lovely to get your comments.

Thanks for getting in touch.

Another great video. Any recommendations on international healthcare medical coverage
Hey AG!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! We use a company called SafetyWing due to the simplicity and it is a company created by nomads for nomads. We will talk more medical in the coming weeks.

Hope this may help someone.. we were going to lose our money because of covid . if you can contact the HOST of the property to cancel the booking then you get a full refund .. and to our relief that's what happened to us
Are you still making state pension contributions -- I.e Class 3 in the UK -- or do you both have 35 years of contributions?
Hey Pawlie,
We ensured we got our 35 years before we started this. 👍

The Asian side of Turkey is most of Türkiye. Traffic on those bridges... 😱
Thailand is a good spot for a lot of women available from age 20 to 25.
