Turning a Pen from Mystery Wood

- Pen turning is reasonably new to me, but as I got given all the tools (except the lathe!) to make some pens I thought I'd give it a go.

Yes, it is lovely, I'm going to make some more and I've received a few tips from a friend who is a pen making expert so hopefully I can share those at some point.

Nice pen Simon, so glad it didn't split for you , the timber is very attractive not sure of the species though, looks a little like a rosewood but that's been banned for years now so it's probably a substitute timber which are often also called "xxxx" Rosewood but are different species.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've had a few Rosewood or something similar is my current view, but I will probably never know
