I'm pretty sure China uses their own software, otherwise it wouldn't be able to use all the Chinese designed munitions, which would make it rather pointless.
@ until you find out that most of their munitions are either direct copies of our munitions, from Afghanistan to Syria to Iran to the current battlefield in Ukraine, China has amassed massive amounts of American munitions and equipment, everything from tomahawk cruise missiles that have crashed in the desert after malfunctioning to drones and their suit of cameras and sensors, the only question that’s going to be left when we go to war with china is how good their training is
The only advantage is that the Chinese now know everything about the F35 and it's weaknesses as well as how to counter it. They also will have in depth knowledge of US systems. Other than that, it's almost useless for copying. Maybe a little bit here and there but the J35 is so different. You can't copy a plane.
F 35A is still best jet. You get 4 F 35 $80million for 1 F 22 $350 million. Its all about how much you get for your money. How many you produce, how many you can maintain and how much air space you can fill out with jets. J 35 A is completly different Jet then F35 but they use similar look to confuse the enemy and make it look like their own. PsyOps 101
their radar are at least 1.5 generation ahead, they have eodas etc, much more advance sensors on board. after all f-35 specs are pretty dated, even upgrades require more power output. That requires to even upgrade the core of the F-35 engine. The beauty about J-35 twin engine, it generates more power that needed for all the sensors, radars and electronics on board. There is much more room for upgrades. Fat amy designers never thought of that huh
@@watb8689 despite being twin engine, J35 does not produce more wattage than F35 (with current engine anyway). I would agree their radar is onpar since China is the leader in material processing, even F35 sensor use material from China which congress hated but has no choice since alternative would cause 2 year delay in F35 production. what is less clear is if their software and data processing equal. sensor by itself doesn't tell the pilot much without good software that is EW proof.
Such unprofessional hosts; they don’t even understand the purpose of the hump during supersonic flight. Dig up your file on J-35 development, the hump was not prominent until a later version of it. Maybe it just selective perceptions. If we are going to pursue steathiness and aerodynamic, the physics and parameters will be identical. The end product will end up looking similar in one way or another. Just look at the stealth fighter projects from Turkey or South Korea. Difference is just how much trade off between aerodynamics and steathiness

There's two vers, "J-35A" for AF and for exports, iirc it has slightly more area on its rudders that move, & "J-35" for Navy it has slightly longer wings and elevators, folding ability, the hook and robust landing gears. One in this video pic is the J-35A. Now I hope it has side missile bays cus I can't see the line for the bay on its side. Now IK it's similar to Fat Amy but remember, it's still different as just a simple copy is not as easy as it looks, sure they definitely looked at hacked information but its not shit by any means. Stealth is limited to physics of this universe. Only so many ways an object can be designed. I say this cus someone literally said that the, "Su-57 is a copy of the Flankers"... SMH.
Slimmer and with 2 engines inside leads to one question - where do the missiles go? If they mount outside, so much for any stealth characteristics. Maybe they are just for airshows and flying past the nose of US spy planes.
while the F35 had to put it missile bay on the side to make room for the engine. the J35 like all other stealth fighter can put their missile bay in the centerline. the airduct can be build around the missile bay, allow the missile bay to be flat and clean externally.

this thing with roughly the same quality of finish as the F22 and a DAS will give the F22 a serious run for its money. Odds are the plane with the DAS will spot the one without a DAS before either can detect each other on radar.
Respectfully disagree with Mover's previously statements. We 100% need F22 production restarted (maybe 750 units) with upgraded avionics, but not with the silly F35 helmets, regular HUD will be just fine as long as it can do off boresight shots. Fat Amy can be capped at 550 for the Air Force. Also the avionics and engines can be used to create a dedicated Navy Carrier F/A fighter (Hellcat? with no II - More "Tomcat Gunslinger" type patches please) with the same or better flight performance as the F22. I know 6th Gen is coming, but sometimes it's better to go with what you know works, as F-18 is getting pretty old. Not like we can't tap a few buttons and "magically" create the money to pay for all this new stuff.
That's not going to happen with our impending budget disaster. Our interest on the debt is grater than the defense budget. The DOD will be lucky if the NGAD gets off the ground. Legacy aircraft are going to make up the majority of our fleet for the foreseeable future, because we are way past the point of return on our debt.
restart is not happening, the blueprint are lost. they try to restart the sparepart line and they couldn't even do that. US is better of designing a new plane based on F22 using current tools than trying to reproduce it. it would be cheaper and more advanced.
This one really disappointed me cuz firstly it doesn't look like F-35, secondly it has it uses their own engines, avionics, radar and everything else. @@fqeagles21 no they don't. The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program has taught the Department of Defense how to correctly buy an aircraft and manage its development and operations. Will do better next time(hopefully).
It’s probably not happening unless there’s some drastic change in US power structure.
aside from it being wider longer and two engines with completely different characteristics from the F35 and not sharing a single surface angle yes a direct copy and paste
lol, it’s got 2 engines because they don’t have a single engine that can produce enough thrust.
Wider and longer are due to 2 engines and wanting more fuel.
But to deny they didn’t use all the stolen F-35 documentation to design this…not sure what to say that wouldn’t be insulting.
@@Jack-TacticalDual-engine designs are also preferred due to lower accident rate. If one fails, you‘ll generally be able to make it home, with single engine you wouldn’t.

The STOVL variant is stupid. It is the worst choice for the mission. The purpose is to provide CAS for the expeditionary forces. From an Indian🇮🇳 perspective🧐, an American pilot's statement that everything is state-run without the influence of lobbies and contractors is quite alarming😨. Despite the risks, PM Modi is not procuring fifth-generation technology and lacks a technology and strategy to harness India's human resources. Maybe India should have a dedicated minister for home affairs similar to the one for foreign affairs, and the current home affairs minister could take on the role of defence minister.🤔
Relax dude. Everytime I see an Indian commenting on China, they are always so desperate. Chill man, India's time will come. But not now. The future is bright, but it will take time. In 50 years, India will be a force to be reckoned with. For now, just relax. Cnina and India fight with sticks anyway, who cares if China has a J35. China doesn't really care about India, They are focused on US. India should worry about countries your level like pakistan or bangladesh. And also, you should team up with China to keep these westerners out. Stop being so jealous. If you keep focusing on China, the US will eat your lunch.
Curious, would the F-35 have had two engines the V/STOL B-version didn't need to exist?
no, it's an idiotic compromise that doesn't really work. especially for a naval fighter, when you're over the ocean, having a single engine without a backup in case of failure or damage is a dumb idea..

Looks more like a mini f22
And let us never forget that the operating systems and the source code were hacked by China before the f35 was even commissioned because a contractor plugged his top secret laptop into an outside internet connection!
PsyOps 101

I wonder if their sensors are on par.
their radar are at least 1.5 generation ahead, they have eodas etc, much more advance sensors on board. after all f-35 specs are pretty dated, even upgrades require more power output.

Maybe it just selective perceptions. If we are going to pursue steathiness and aerodynamic, the physics and parameters will be identical. Yeah you'd think if they stole data or scans of a F35 theyd atleast rename it. I mean its literally an f35 w/o vtol ability and likely horribly outdated engines. But yeah copying never won anyone anything, you got to innovate to win in human competition. In war in racing in fighting you name it
There's two vers, "J-35A" for AF and for exports, iirc it has slightly more area on its rudders that move, & "J-35" for Navy it has slightly longer wings and elevators, folding ability, the hook and robust landing gears. One in this video pic is the J-35A. Now I hope it has side missile bays cus I can't see the line for the bay on its side. Now IK it's similar to Fat Amy but remember, it's still different as just a simple copy is not as easy as it looks, sure they definitely looked at hacked information but its not shit by any means. while the F35 had to put it missile bay on the side to make room for the engine. the J35 like all other stealth fighter can put their missile bay in the centerline. the airduct can be build around the missile bay, allow the missile bay to be flat and clean externally.

this thing with roughly the same quality of finish as the F22 and a DAS will give the F22 a serious run for its money.

This is why they make both ski jump and catapult version. They can test it on older carrier early and train more pilots. And potentially export for ski jump amphibious ship.
The spine needs to exist because it provides for a better and more aerodynamic transition for the flow going over and around the canopy rather than the canopy be stuck on the top of an otherwise flow optimised surface. Besides, stealth jets already have shit aerodynamics so having these flow helping transitions where they can helps
Stealth has shit aero? F-22 and SU-57 tell the opposite
@@fqeagles21 no they don't. For the kind of power they have those things are tractors, angled surfaces are not conducive to good flow over an airframe and you cannot area-rule stealth jets as it creates pockets that act as mirrors to radar waves. This is why you see jets like the Eurofighter and the Rafale take on the F-22 in dogfights as they are inherently much more aerodynamically efficient designs compared to the F-22.
