Great video! We love this game. The art is cute and quirky. There is that tension when you want to keep the tile that you have to put in the center row, because there's no where you can place it to eventually release it.
At 18:20, you can't take the black tile. The red tile you placed in the center row/column matches the shape of the black tile you took. If the tiles match shape or color, the tile in your workshop is not released.
I'm all in for a 2-player tile laying game but this looks tricky for colour-blindness. Are the colours differentiated in any other way? I confess I've not watched much of this video yet as work has got in the way! But I shall come back later so apologies if this becomes more apparent later on.
oh you're right, color blindness might be an issue. there's definitely red & green color tiles and no art differentiaion that i can see! i should have called that out, will add something to the final thoughts!
@@redsybil7468 Hello, I'm one of the 3 game designers and I am colorblind .... so I do confirm that there are small symbols helping making the difference between colors ;-). There are small but easy to differentiate.
This looks very interesting. I really like the next layer of depth that's put into the tile drafting & the puzzle of building out your own network of pipes . I hope there's a solo mode somewhere.
16:14 Putting the blue flower on the yellow squiggly pipe wouldn't have helped Jen. It would have forced Jen to put the 4-way intersection on her only open pipe, preventing her to get points for the green combo. Well, but care bears, I know... ;)
Thank you for the runthrough, Richard. At least I now know that this is not a game for me. Even though it is puzzly, I could not grok what was going on the entire time. I do not know why it is. Maybe the gameplay does not interest me as much (?), with changing the color and shape - but I also did not understand the whole concepts of putting the tiles on your side of the board vs. putting the tiles in the center of the board and what consequences both of them have.
if you put it on your side, you're locking it into your "queue" it up to be able to add to your machine later. if you put it in the middle, that's what "unlocks" a tile from the queue so that you can add it to your machine, but it can also potentially unlock your opponents tile, helping them :)
I've come to love these "little" games. They are perfect for all people, regardless if they are gamers or not. Very nice, thank you!

i went back and looked a bit more closely at the tiles and it turns out there are unique symbols on the tile for each color, but they are subtle

17:57 putting a red tile there won't help you get more red things later because it's going to have to be covered anyway to free your tile

In the first turn, couldn’t you have placed the red tile in the second to the bottom slot? Looks like that blue tile is the right shape.

I really liked the game. Wish you weren’t playing against yourself though...
