I love how you do videos not only for huge and complex games! I'd love if you make a video with Sea Salt and Paper, it's the kind of game that really needs a playthrough, and there aren't any straightforward ones in English yet. (After helping me with the Praga Caput Regni game, your channel became my go to when I want a shortcut into learning games and getting a feel of them ❤)
Looks like a cleverly designed and fun filler game, and -- given the number of objective cards, plus the number of ways the playing cards could be sequenced -- a lot of replayability. Many thanks for uploading.
I've been on the fence about this game since it came out, partly because of the lack of solo mode, but you guys have helped me see that it is one I would love and think my daughter would enjoy playing it with me too! It reminds me of Sprawlopolis but with a cute nature theme, love it! Thanks for the playthrough 🙂
This was on the Essen release list for last year, and I couldn't find it! I love animals, so I'm always on the lookout with anything with a nature theme.
Hi Thank you!! Nimalia is MUCH lighter strategy-wise than Cafe. Honshu is a very fun card-overlapping game that we both love! There are two versions of it now - Honshu and Hokkaido.
Thank you! Will check out Hokkaido too. :) Although not as heavy/strategic, would you say that Nimalia is as fun as Hokkaido/Café? Although quite straight forward and light it seems fun with the isle of skye type of scoring between the rounds!
Odd question, but do you have any idea if this is the same box size as the BoardGameTables (or AllPlay now) small box games? Looks like a very cool mix between Cartographers with the variable round scoring and Sprawlopolis with the tile laying.
Looks like there is a lot of luck element. A simple fix might be to draw 4 cards instead of 3 so that there is still choice at the end. It might break the game as well.
@@BeforeYouPlay that and you only see so many cards so you really have to think about how to use them and almost always lose out on a couple objectives. If you have four players you’d see more cards
What are your favorite animal themed board games? 🐂🐑🐓🐪🐄🐅🐴🐘🐆🐢🐒🐍🐏🐀🐗🐐💚
It’s not purely animal theme but Meadows is high up on my list.
@kennexcamba2438 Ahh Monique's played it once but I haven't yet.
Hard to beat Ark Nova, although Wingspan is a close 2nd
@madmanac Great Choices!
Savannah Park is a favorite of mine!
I like the idea of Filler Friday, I have been enjoying smaller, shorter games lately.
We love big heavy games, but always appreciate a clever 20-30 minute filler too.
BRING BACK FILLER FRIDAY!!! I LOVE THISS. Thanks, guys!
I picked this one up. Easy to teach and get to the table. Fashion choices for this video are spot on!

My first go to channel. They are awesome!

Totally! Thanks for checking out our video. 😊
i lurk quite a bit, but i do like this idea of filler friday :)
Looks fun and easy to learn. I’ll have to check this one out. Thanks!
Welcome back FILLER FRIDAY! 😃 Yay! Take care!
😊
Giraffes are my favorite! Love your shirt Monique. Always fun when you guys wear shirts that go with theme of game.😊
Loved the game! Simple, quick and fun!
😁
Naveen that is such a cute t-shirt that you got for this episode ❤
Haha, knew it was the perfect shirt for this video!
Great. Your shirts also match with the theme of this game. Good game when you do not have much time.

🤗😍 you guys are pure love to watch and hear, thank you so much making videos, i watch your videos everyday a huge fan
Monique should've gotten 0 points for the red objective every time! Just look at how many giraffes she has! (On her shirt ;) )
I couldn't concentrate while watching the video, but those cards look really nice. I love how they drew the animals from above.
Ooh that brilliant variable round scoring that I've only seen in Isle of Skye before!
One of my favorite mechanics, tile overlapping from Cafe and Smartphone Inc. Good to see another game use it.
Hansu is another filler card game that uses that mechanic. In that game you are also allowed to tuck under too.
This was on the Essen release list for last year, and I couldn't find it! I love animals, so I'm always on the lookout with anything with a nature theme.
Great play through! Seems like a mix of cascadia and sushi go. I’ve been looking for some smaller travel games and this is perfect!
Hi Monique, Naveen, any chance you would playthrough Lorenzo il Magnifico? This game deserves some love on a big channel like yours.
Great video! This looks so fun!
Thanks for checking it out!
This looks fun!
Shorter games are much easier to bring to the table after a long week.
Totally!!
I enjoyed this playthrough! Seems like a fun game. I don't know that I have room for it with Seasons of Rice in my collection, though.
Yes! Love it when you play lighter games! 😊
When is the UWE breakdown??? I must have it 😮
God I love this game so much
Yeeeee!
Hi!
A big fan of your channel!!
Do you have a favorite card overlapping game? How would you compare Nimalia to Café for example?
Hi Thank you!! Nimalia is MUCH lighter strategy-wise than Cafe. Honshu is a very fun card-overlapping game that we both love! There are two versions of it now - Honshu and Hokkaido.
Thank you!
Will check out Hokkaido too. :)

Great fun game:)
😄
I like this game fine. But I had to sell it because in my 3 different groups of players, none of them wanted to go back for a second game😅
That’s fair, glad you got 3 plays in!
Odd question, but do you have any idea if this is the same box size as the BoardGameTables (or AllPlay now) small box games?
Looks like a very cool mix between Cartographers with the variable round scoring and Sprawlopolis with the tile laying.
Yes it’s very similar in size. This game may be slightly larger by an inch (2 cm) length and width wise.
Looks like there is a lot of luck element. A simple fix might be to draw 4 cards instead of 3 so that there is still choice at the end. It might break the game as well.
7:42 ...and to the the top or to the bottom !
Would you recommend this if already own king domino?
I could really see how this game is harder at 2. Having more players means you see more cards. Good filler tho!
Yeah knowing you will definitely get cards back you originally passed adds an extra layer.
@@BeforeYouPlay that and you only see so many cards so you really have to think about how to use them and almost always lose out on a couple objectives. If you have four players you’d see more cards
What do you think of the game?
This is great filler game… mix of Cascadia and Kingdomino… loved this game and surely going to get this for my shelf
Thanks for checking out the video. Glad we could help!
@BeforeYouPlay - request if you can pls check out the game called - 'Joraku'.
We’ve played it and own it! Clever trick taking game for sure, just feel it’s best with more players.
Kinda similar to carthographers?
And Cafe ☺️
