I keep coming back to watch this episode. And I've never played the game before so this video is my only experience with it, but there's something about the synergy between the players and the humor that I quite like.
I agree. from watching dozens of these, I have observed he seems well rehearsed and articulate and in that process, he makes the **lip smacking sounds ** a lot between sentences. lmaoooo
Seems the reason that you don't draw new heists until after is because it's probably supposed to be played simultaneously where everyone gets thier die at the same time. So then it would add this confusion of oh I just finished mine and I grabbed the one I wanted real quick even though I'm not really next in turn order.
At 1:04:07 wasn't Dave supposed to gain the neckless from Aaron? Dave had 3 symbols, Aaron only 2. From what those two said, I think they thought Dave already got it but he had the orange one, not the blue one. Edit: Nevermind, they noticed it at 1:11:35.
Great playthrough of a great game. This one's definitely going on my To Purchase list, as I really like games with a crime based theme, and this one looks like a lot of fun.
This game looks fun. I thought that the stacking on art would look wierd, but making a really tall criminal looks really fun and its reall clever with prelonging legs and arms. Crime wizard and flashlight nips David Bowie looks great :D
This is just a fun game, great play through :) Just one thing to the rules 37:37 you don't have to have more symbols to gain a necklace in case of a tie then the rules state: the tied player with the highest single number on a completed heist with this type of mission symbol gains the necklace. So you have to look at the small numbers on the cards, when you have the same number of symbols ;)
I believe that number only matters when BOTH players reach a new level on the SAME turn. To take it from another player on a later turn you need to have more symbols than the other player. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
@@boardgamegeek now you made me double ckeck my rules again ;) and in my rules for the game, you look att all your completed heist cards and then you gain the neckless from the supply or another player, if you have the most or in a case of a tie the one with the highest number gains the neckless - Helle
If you forget to move the "recruiter" when recruiting, you can check how far you should be by look at how many upgrades you have. It should be that far along.
Looks like the cards may be the same size too so I would finally have a use for all those extra Space Base sleeves I have. Edit: No such luck just looked it up :(
I just have to say, one of my favorite parts of Gamenight! is all the references, like Lincoln's "driving in my car" about thirty minutes in. I know I miss a few, but being in my 50's, I catch a lot of them and it's nice.
1:46:30 - I thought the same thing when I saw an unboxing video of this. I realize that would be _a lot more art_ and names to come up with on the developers part, but...leaving the backs blank just feels like a waste 😕
It looks like one trick is probably piggybacking on numbers your opponents are upgrading. They are incentivized to choose those numbers and it will help you.
Absolutely, the trick is getting crew cards with those numbers. There is a good amount of luck in acquiring the right numbers. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
At 1:00:47 Lincoln gets the art necklace, stealing it from Dave, but on the exact same turn Nikki also completed a two art heist. Why did Lincoln get the necklace and not Nikki?
I have the higher value card. There is tiny number on the cards that in the event of a tie (meaning both get to that level on the same turn) the player with the highest card number gains the necklace. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
It would have been cool, if the 2 player boards would connect via puzzle mechanic, so they cannot slide apart so easily - game looks neat and fun, but we own space base already and shelf space is limited ;-)

Thanks for a great game. I feel like dave only paid $4 for his 3 points both times and not the $5 needed. I don't think it made a difference in him winning. I know i'll be keeping an eye out for this game :D
Dave had a heist card that gave him $1 off of recruiting and the 3 point action on that board is recruiting so he gets it for $4. We should have never let him have that card :-).-Lincoln
@@boardgamegeek Problem is: The reference sheet says this: "Get a $1 discount each time you move the recruiter to the next space. Aaron is my favorite game explainer. Very soothing voice, communicates the information clearly and is entertaining.
I fall asleep to GameNight most nights so I understand the soothing nature for sure

Good video. Ok game. The police track seems tacked on to me not being punishing at all really and Dave realised you can effectively ignore it
Sure it is punishing, if the police car passes you you cannot gain the bonuses when moving.
@@TorIverWilhelmsen to me they are random and require more effort than they are worth and the police track though thematic is an unecessary layer
