It's actually really good that he shows the importance of letting pies rest, and also the importance of proper utensils. That's why almost every kitchen drawer has a slice-shaped spatula.
why does these kinds of comments get blown up😢😢😢
🙄 you don’t need special tools at home. I’ve never used a slice spatula for pies, if it’s a rested pie it’ll stay together on a knife. The beauty of this channel is NOT using specialized equipment and making do with what he finds.
@@Leoni_DasPapaLusPolubecause they're actually somewhat informative or related to the video's content and not regurgitated clickbait.

DON'T THROW OUT THE OVEN!
Just use a vinegar and water mixture. Let it come to a light boil for 30 minutes to an hour and use a tough rough sponge (not steel wool).
Or coat it in 'gele zeep' (a soft soap), put a bowl with ammonia in it and leave it there for a day (maybe even heating slightly for a short while). You can take the grease off without effort
hes rigth i work on a kitchen and alot of chef hellpers (pinches) that burn even the boiling wather...so as disher...have to shut down alot of portals and wormholes to hell and another dimentions and universes...

DIshwasher detergent is alkaline, and the cakepan is made out of aluminium. You dissolved the surface a little bit and it got more porous which gives a matte look to it.
I was only looking in the comments to see if anyone actually explained why the cake pan looks weird. THANK YOU 😅
You are smarter than I’ll ever be
put my aluminum bread pan in the dishwasher and it's forever "weird" so cool to have the reason why
You sure it's not that commercial magnesium stuff? 🤔

I love this dude so much. I don't know how he strikes with the same monotone subtle humor and still catches me with the silliest things like the granulated sugar and brown sugar in the last recipe.
POV:your watching a reddit Moderator
@@mr.bright5712 yeah, i like this guy but his humor isnt subtle lol
What I love about Canoe's videos is that almost all his ingredients in the recipes, albeit looks unappetizing, are easily found and some you might have lying around at home for ease of cooking. Like he even substitutes ingredients for easier access. Most cooking videos on this platform are titled as 'easy to make' then say "you need this extremely rare spice that can only be found in specific islands in the Caribbeans, if you don't use this, you're just cooking literal shit. "
That's the real inspiration. "Use this spice" I dont have that so uhh, just this instead fuck it
Yeah normal guy making normal fucking food mate, as you said, it might not look extra appetising, but that's about how it's gonna look when you make it at home.
i think bro jus has a shit camera tbh and the lighting dont rly do him justice either
Then when you make the super easy and quick recipe its because you didnt do a very very important and needed step thats in the very bottom of the comment section
Also i have to be honest that apple pie looks bomb as hell
His wishes for everyone at the end was just so wholesome. Enjoy your favorite season, FutureCanoe!
that just made my day 😭
Really needed it today too
your 'apple crumble ' looks kind of tasty - not apple crumble though!

I love fall and apples and I like your even more. I appreciate you sharing the recipes on the screen 👍🍎
As an Italian, never seen anyone do that particular style of apple pie. In my family is usually done with thicker slices and way more batter, and it's a lot more cakey.
Or a strudel, which is also very popular in northern Italy
Strudels are so good
ikrrr@@williamthetermite
Sì infatti, poi la sua mi sembrava fosse rimasta pure cruda :/
That is a style of pie I had too. It is also delicious.
same, in my region at least they are more similar to a ciambellone with piecies of apples in the batter. Actually very good if done correctly.
Yo his knife work is clean. He's improving at a barely noticeable pace.
for the dolls with nut allergies who want apple crumble just use do flour and cold butter, squished by hand till theyre crumbly. and add crushed cornflakes +cinnamon+sugar on top
I'm a little surprised that no one's talking about how the guy just TOOK HIS PANTS OFF ON SCREEN IN THE KITCHEN????

When I make a pie crust, I actually freeze the butter and then use a cheese grater. It's a bit difficult, but you get the perfect size pieces of butter in the final dough.

Here in the UK(where apple crumble originated) we serve apple crumble with hot or cold custard aka Creme Anglaise.
Why does your english cream have a french name? hmm
@@KillahEU Créme anglaise is litteraly "english cream" in french ^^
My favourite, hot apple crumble with cold custard 👌
We usually serve it with vanilla ice cream.
Also it's better if the topping is made with a mixture of flour and butter rather than oats.
You’re really teaching me about having confidence in myself regardless of my knowledge or preparedness lol
I tried that apple butter receipe and it turned out great - I used it to patch my driveway

my mom makes this apple cake which is very tasty.
start by mixing wet ingredients: 3/4 cups of oil or butter, 6 eggs, 1.5cups of sugar, mix it then add 2 cups of flour, teaspoon baking powder, 2teaspoons vanilla, mix it. add 6 big diced apples into the batch, lay in a baking sheet covered with cooking paper. add to a preheated oven 180 degrees celsius for 45mins. its really good. just like your cake but better

Definitely gonna try the last recipe, I feel like the "char" would make it so good that even brown butter wouldn't be able to compare to it
Okay, that apple pie was GORGEOUS and looks absolutely delicious.
Also I think your recent content with roughly 20 mins of content is the sweet spot of just enough futurecanoe to tide me for the next few days
The pie looked delicious! I usually grate frozen butter into chilled flour for flakiness. I will have to try that recipe though!
You could make macarons with the excess almond flour.
THE CANOEE NEVER MISSES (he misses always)

Vanilla???? What happened to "dessert msg"???? You're not yourself anymore....
You could try making italian strudel with apples, it's really good
you mean, German strudel with apples? 😎
No, italian, it's traditional from "trentino alto adige", south tirol
It's also traditional in Austria

Thanks for the well wishes Canoe, hope your fall goes well too! Fall is my favorite season, there's just something comfy about it.
Hope your Dutch Oven is salvageable, saw some good recommendations in the comments.
I hope this fall will be the happiest days of your life that you stay happy healthy and get the results you deserve you put for your efforts. your previous history dishes recipe videos were best you are really intelligent, witty, humorous and laziest hard working person I have ever seen the true symbol of ncp that a person can ever be. your videos contain challenge against machines dirty jokes, roasts, motivation, information and low quality results with genuine efforts. down to reality with hopes to reach dreams. I always love your content and wait for your videos. Hope you have all the luck in this world.
i came across this channel with it just hit 10k and thought it dang this guy kinda cool and started binging his stuff. seriously cant believe he popped up and is about to hit a mil in such a short amount of time. proud of you sir
The ending was so sweet and caring, thank you futurecanoe ♥️ We all needed that
I made the pie recipe with a few substitutions and it turned out amazing! I love that i can get satire, reviews and a legit recipe all in one place
For pie crust I recommend freezing the butter and then treating the butter into the dry ingredients. That’s s keeps the butter cold while getting the butter into smaller prices so it’s a bit more even throughout. If you’re really worried about the butter getting too warm it’s after you’ve mixed the grated butter into the dry ingredients throw it in the freezer for about 5 to 10 minutes just to get it really really cold.
You're literally repeating what he did, did you even watch the video?
@@bakielh229 You clearly didn’t otherwise you’d have known he did something different
It might not be much, but thanks for making my day. Had a stressful day at work and hearing you trying your best with these recipes and jokes its about the small things, thanks again c:
I'm Italian and I can tell a legit apple pie is amazing. It should not be that custardy and my assumption is that your cake was simply too tall and ended up undercooked. Also, normally the apples/butter ratio is different: when my family prepares that, it's more like a sponge cake with lots of apples on top and pieces of apples inside; not apples with a little bit of cake.
Yeah, I've never seen a torta della nonna like that.
The spring form pan he used was definitely too narrow and tall.
For the Dutch oven, you can use a dishwasher tablet and boiling water form a kettle, let it sit for little bit and that should do the trick.
Apple crumble is quite popular here in New Zealand, on of my favourite desserts growing up!
Your watching from nz too?😮
"different species of apples" lol such a great line 🤣
The comments about the apple fritter were hilarious 😂 so glad you added them! Looks delicious, and honestly easier than I expected.
The pie and the fried fritters reminded me of what my grandma used to make, they looked super dope!
Man I really love your content.
the ending message was really wholesome, wishing a happy spring/autumn to everyone! ❤
Thanks Canoe! I just got a job and had my first pay so things are certainly looking up this autumn.

I hope you're right about this fall
Either way, thanks for the excellent tutorial on how to destroy my cookware ❤
That apple butter reveal was epic.
Blessing my Bday with a 20min banger. Thanks for everything!
Man finally some one makes the dough for apple pie correctly man I’ve seen so many videos of people not making it correctly
After seeing these food results I wish it was winter already
I love watching Canoe's videos because the food and ingredients look so unappetizing that I don't get hungry while watching!
Love the video! Your channel is becoming one of the few that i look forward to whenever there's a new upload.
Canoe I love your videos. Make sure tho that when you halve a recipe that you adjust your cook time accordingly ❤️
"Dal Bati Churma" is a specialty dish hailing from the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a combination of three key elements: "Dal," a flavorful lentil curry, "Bati," which are round, baked wheat flour bread, and "Churma," a sweet crumbled wheat dessert. This dish is a beloved and iconic part of Rajasthan's cuisine. Despite its deliciousness, it remains relatively undiscovered by international audiences, making it a hidden gem in Indian culinary traditions. So Please try it.
Are we sure it’s hidden? Half the foreign tourists who visit India come to Rajasthan and I’m pretty sure this is something all blogs have them tasting too. No one really likes it is more like it or wants to waste time replicating it.
@@babuyadav2336I like it tho
me as german i am used to different kind of apple cake and prefer my version. we basically combine crumble and cake. i prefer having 2/3 layer dough , then 1/3 layer apple cubes mixed with bit of applesauce and on top you just combine butter, flour sugar cinnamon , you form HUGE crumbles with your hands (not the tiny ones that look like dust) spread it and bake it, it's really yummy. the fritters tho (minus the glaze) looking super yummy but woulld maybe taste too oily to me. i wonder if you could simply add a bit of oil to the dough and normal bake it in the oven or airfryer
Ah yes the Apfel Streusel Kuchen
The heartfelt message at the end made my day, so thank you
I love your voice it's soooo soothing and it makes me fall asleep 😴
The main reason why his Apple Butter is failed because the heat from his stove was too much compared to the Dutch Oven (electric stove) and he set the flame too high for simmer, just set the flame where it almost blown out by wind (very very low) and you will have better results.
This re-live my horror experience when I was still teenager, I often forget to simmer my soup on really low heat to the point where my pot was pitch black and almost caused fire on my house (this is true story, I wont deny it) and get spanked with wooden plank by my dad for almost destroying the house. I feel his pain about that yet I was laughing on how bad I was back then.
He also cut the recipe in half, but didn't cut the cook time at all despite using what looks like the same sized dutch oven. I would say the heat burnt it, but the time would have probably turned it into glue anyway.
True, he should reduce the cooking time to 2-3 hours instead of 12 hours to ensure that his apple did not burn since the amount of recipe he used was less than what he follows.
The problem with using the gas stove is they cant control the amount of heat for cooking/simmer the food thus creating tons of issue if you dont check it regularly like others did to prevent disaster.
@@hartonosutrisno5452 I've only ever used coil or induction burners, so this is a great pointer. Thanks.
This video reminded me how much i love non-irradiated apple pie 🤯
Ps. Use baking soda and white vinegar on the Dutch oven.
my favorite recipe this year for sure has to be the apple butter thanks for showing me that I cant wait to make little jars of it for gifts to my loved ones.

i think my fav is the apple butter by far
My favorite apple pie dessert is the Hungarian Apple Pie. You can eat it like a handheld apple pie. I sub the AP Flour for 3 parts WW Flour and 1 part Almond Flour. I omit the sugar and use a sweeter apple - the Royal Gala. I also put cinnamon in the pie crust to off set the bitter WW Flour. But you can make it the normal way here :)
As a Brit the fact that Apple Crumble and Apple Pie topped the list makes me feel like we’ve finally won a culinary award.
To be fair, apple crumble and apple pie are super popular in the USA. About as popular as pumpkin pie. That's where he lives, so that might be why they topped they list lol
The states stole apple pie from you during the divorce and you got shared custody of the crumble.

Peel them over the garbage can...
Also get one of those "vertical style" peelers so you can peel it in one long piece. It doesn't necessarily make it easier but it's more fun
