Chicken leg recipe: Sprinkle your favorite rub on chicken drumsticks. Place on smoker and smoke 30 minuntes , then grill at 375° for 45 minutes (large legs). Baste near the end with your favorite sauce, or just leave as a dry rub and serve with Ranch dip!

Hello! As someone who has been a caregiver to a spouse with a lot of unknowns and major health issues- I appreciate what you said about how it changes you. I remember being behind the ambulance one morning, following my husband, while everyone else around me was going about their normal day. It is such an isolating feeling. I know that we are not the same from what we have gone through, but I appreciate that I am not the same in how I love, show empathy, and care for those around me. I think God allows us to see things most people miss and allows us to speak love and life in those hurting. The best description I have ever heard about empathy comes from Brene Brown on Empathy. If you search that, it is about a 3 min video and so worth the 3 mins. Hugs to you and prayers for your sweet family! ❤

My mother inlaw wasn't a hugging person when I met her but I turned her into one at least for her and I . I so miss her and hugging her she passed away 3 years ago. I just happened to call my sister yesterday and her husband was having surgery and she had her granddaughter with her and she asked me if I could take her I said of course so I got some niece time I hadn't had that in awhile was so good to to spend time with my niece ❤
Others are blessed by helping us just as we are blessed by helping them. Don't deny them their blessing.

I played the piano for many hours after my older sister passed away at 17, it was my only safe place for a long time!
Something to remember is if you don't graciously accept kind gestures and offers to help, you are robbing someone of being a blessing to you. And that might be the thing that would have made their day better. That thought has helped me as I am used to being the one helping and it was hard for me to acknowledge that I could use help.

How I love “l’ll Fly Away.” My granddaughter sang it, a capella, at my daughter’s funeral six years ago. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it, but it comforts & assures me that my daughter is in heaven. And I know that I will be with her for eternity.

I hear ya about letting friends help. I'm going through breast cancer treatment. I've been feeling pretty good so I've been saying no to offers for help. But I recently let a friend bring dinner over. It felt so good to be pampered and taken care of. Hugs to you and prayers for Fletcher.
It's like my friend said, "I know you can cook. But let us show you we care by letting us bring you a meal." Best wishes on your complete recovery!
The number one thing I learned from my grandmother is when someone wants to give you a gift, you take it. I consider offers for help in the gift category. I try to say yes as much as I can because it blesses other people.
“Receiving” can be hard, it is also the flip side of when we are the givers.
I just lost my husband this week after an extended illness. I too, had to learn to say yes. Yes to the food, yes to the errands, yes to the paper goods, and YES TO THE HUGS♥️♥️♥️. I’m glad you figured this out. Praying for Fletcher.

One of my friend's grandson had epilepsy and a seizure dog. He is a senior inHS and seizure free.God is good.
A friend, her mom, & her daughter cleaned our house while I was in the hospital for a mastectomy. It was such a huge blessing to come home to heal in a clean house. It was such a generous, loving thing.
And hugs are my favorite. We give them freely & as often as is possible. 💜
Megan, I have been watching you for a long time and I just have to say that you are looking prettier by the year! Perhaps it is your motherhood vibes. I retired from teaching 40+ years of middle school and have recently started going through totes of memories and pictures and my grandsons were shocked that the "pretty young woman" in the pictures with students was their Grammy! I know that someday your grandchildren are going to see these videos and it will be heartwarming to hear from them what we are seeing today. Just imagine that nearly all people's clothes before say the 1930s was hand sewed at home. That's some real talent. On a side note I'm sorry to hear about your dog passing away. Pets are family members. My Wife and I had an American Cocker Spaniel for years before she passed away. We named her Betsy after Betsy Ross. Her favorite meal was English Peas. We made a memorial for her in our hall. 🧵💚

I needed this! I’ve inwardly (and outwardly) had so much pride in having almost zero childcare (military family). The last 3 weeks I’ve had to rely on my friend so much for childcare (a few hours a week, more than ever before ha) and it’s an incredibly uncomfortable feeling and lesson in humility.
Awww. But no one is giving you a gold medal for doing it all yourself. You just do your best!
@@MeganFoxUnlocked thank you! I actually had to hire out help for childcare this afternoon, just for an hour, and this mindset shift from your video really helped me feel zero guilt about it! My kids had a great time and I got my work done in peace!
Megan, i grew up Amish and completely without hugs. This past May 20th (literally on Pentecost Day we discovered later) when i finally allowed my (also ex-amish) youth pastor give me my first hug ever, i surrendered my life to Jesus, in our embrace! It’s crazy, because we’d been connecting since last September, and then after the length of almost an entire pregnancy i was Born Again in, now my “dad’s” arms - and a mother can’t even catch her own baby (very well) but the dad can, how crazy! Since then i find hugs very powerful as well!

I am someone who has always been self-reliant and had to learn to accept help sometimes. One thing I learned through this struggle is that people who offer genuinely want to give, especially when they know that there’s a lot on your plate.
Please know that I am praying for your family. My sister and her family have gone through something identical to yours. Community/family is everything during this time! I’m so grateful you have that!
On a side note, I absolutely LOVE when you play the piano! I could listen for hours! It brings back sweet memories of my papa playing when I was a little girl. ❤
I love crafting and I am really into crocheting lately. In less than a month I have made over 32 scraves, and 3 blankets. I really feel accomplished.

It is so hard but your videos are helping and very relatable to what our family has going on right now. The mom guilt has been so hard but you are right.. it can make such a difference. A lot of emotions come with it. I’m experiencing this now as well, so thank you for talking about it ❤
Lovely video Megan! I think it is so important to focus on positive things and planning is a great way to do that even if those plans don’t always work out. One thing I have learnt dealing with my son’s health conditions is that it is still possible to live well even with hard things to deal with and less than perfect conditions. I grew up in the home of a piano player and hearing Dad play every night after supper is my favourite childhood memory, bar none. I’m so pleased for you that you have a strong support network and that you’re accepting their loving help. Their ministry blesses you and it blesses them to be used like that! So so agree with you about letting people help!! ❤ My 11-month-old was born right on 31 weeks and was in the NICU for 2 months. We have two older girls as well... We had a 30min drive one way to the hospital so 1hr of gas every day for 2mo... and our girls weren't allowed to be in the NICU where baby was... our church group is tight knit too, and I had to say yes to help or just not get to go see my baby at NICU... was hard for me to let my girls go somewhere every day and allow people to help so much... but I'm so grateful for how my friends and family jumped in and helped so much... Food, snacks, money given for gas, and just so much more!! ❤ while it's embarrassing to allow so much help, I didn't have a choice, and it changed my perspective about help as well. ❤🥹

As an old woman who has and does sew a lot I can give you a tip, just cut your thread next to the spool and then tie on the new color of thread and pull thru slowly. No need to retread every time.

Megan I am praying for your little boy. I can't even imagine how you and Josh feel. I know you are closer to Philadelphia, but Pittsburgh has a WONDERFUL children's hospital which I highly recommend. We had my little boy there when he was sick. They were so wonderful there, very thorough and got to the bottom of it quickly.

My Prayers are for Lil Fletcher to be healed from the seizures.... I was healed from them ... I've not had one in 6 years so Just trust in Jesus and have the faith.... Faith of a mustard seed is so tiny so remember Jesus has it all in control and nothing is too big or too small for him.... God bless y'all ❤
