I love seeing people decorate their homes using mostly what they have on hand...attainable decor. Love the coloured pumpkins, they are so pretty. Fall is my favourite too.
I like the down to earth decorating. I’m not huge on decorating and it blows my mind how much money people will spend on decorations. Honestly, if you can make a space look put together cheaply, that gets me the most excited! :)
To determine if a shirt is men’s or ladies you just check on how the buttons close. While wearing the top if the buttons are on the left hand side panel and the button holes on the right it’s made for ladies. For men it would be opposite, while wearing the piece buttons on the left side panel and button holes on the right. In theory this is because in old days men were all trained to be right handed and would reach through the button gaps to grasp their swords. It’s just some fun historical fashion knowledge.
I ran to the comments to share the secret to telling men's from women's shirts with you! :D I purchased a super cute flannel shirt at a thrift store, and this older gentleman came into the library (where I worked at the time) and exclaimed "I have that SAME shirt!" Turns out I indeed was twinning with an 80 year old man! So sweet, but they are just as cute and comfy as women's shirts
What draws me to a channel is relatability & what keeps me watching & subscribed to a channel is authenticity of the TH-camr. Just. Be. Real. As soon as someone comes across as fake or attempting to be something they’re not (yes it’s easy to spot), is when I unsubscribe. I LOVE when you are just being YOURSELF. I LOVE that you don’t try to be too posh or bougie. And as far as content, I enjoy seeing over the top high end expensive things for inspiration and also enjoy seeing every day decorations that most of us can afford and have the ability to do.
I looooove fall. The colours, the perfect temperatures....just nice. I love your content just the way it is. I enjoy listening to you, your voice is so motivating and puts me in a good mood. You are perfect the way you are🌻🌻
Take a paper grocery bag and open it like it has groceries in it., fold it down to your desired height, Get a can of spray sealer in gloss, spray the bag after its dried put your potted mums in it. Looks nice with pumpkins and gourds around it!
Those "pods" are gumballs. You can plant mum's and they come back every year without having to buy them over and over. I collect other people's mum's when they are done with them and throw them out to the sides of the road, lol. Free plants! You can also tie square fabric pieces around those pots to cover them up, put a clear water catch in the bottom though.
My sister in law taught me that mums come back only if they are “garden or hardy mums”. The label or little plastic stake in the pot usually says what kind they are. I was sad because some I planted didn’t come back the following year. Then I started checking the type. The garden/hardy mums also last longer each fall.
Those prickly balls are from a sweetgum tree ! I have about a million of them in my yard when they start falling ! I have to rake them for months to get them gone but they are cute..just not fun to step on !
I watch you regularly but when I get tired of watching other youtube moms and their perfect life's, I binge watch you. You're a breathe of fresh air in this vain world. Keep letting your light shine! 🧡
Okay also, I LOVE that your daughter doesn’t know who Disney princesses are, that’s how I want it to be too. Wow. I LOVE THAT. Also that tea pot is perfect!!
I like watching both over the top and attainable decor, however I do like the attainable decor more because it is more practical for me at this point in my life with my first home and all! You are such an inspiration, I love watching your videos. Thank you for the example you set
As far as decorating. I don't really care how much it cost someone as long as their creative. I love watching people's minds work and organize. You always do a great job, especially with colors. You can see in these videos where you set up and contemplate... I love that. No matter what channel. My point is, doesnt matter the price point I just love decoration and creativity. It motivates me.
I love mums and my favorite colors are the purple and rust colors. And I like the type of decorating that you do; the natural, not overly-expensive, not overly-perfect decor but homey and cozy. I love homey and cozy and you do it well❣
For your cricket issue, get a paper bag, it doesn't matter the size, get it wet, and put it in a corner on the porch where you hear the cricket, make a few little " hiding spots" with folds or pleats, and leave it, the cricket will be attracted to it, I used to work in a pet shop and tge crickets always found ways of escaping the geco enclosures, and this is how we recaptured them.
Last time I got mums I took and got some of the Halloween pumpkins and turned them around and cut a bigger hole in the top then popped the ugly pots in... instant pumpkin cuteness and it made it easier to keep them watered.
Hi Megan, I Love your fall decorating! I especially noticed the tree pod on your kitchen table, the pretty candles, dried flowers, the macramé, and your joy. It looks like you all had a great time at the farmers market; aren’t they the best. And the scenery all around that you showed was gorgeous. My dad farmed with horses like that as a young man. Love it all! God bless you, M.
I like over the top and seeing people use what they have. Also, I like using and reusing items in new ways. As far as over the top decor, I pick up small ideas out of the big picture.
Megan, you are not alone in cutting things...a few weeks ago I sliced through the cable to the solar lights in the garden!! Love your pumpkins . God Bless xx
I live in PA and do not live too far from Lancaster. Growing up we always went to Lancaster to buy all of our Fall Decor/Christmas Decor, Produce and we also always went to Shady Maple Farm Market and Smorgasbord.
We call those seed pods with spikes "Gum balls", they come from a Sweet Gum tree. We have them every where in Southeastern Virginia. They can be used to decorate wreathes, etc.
I love here in Central Cal and the fires are So bad we can’t see the mountains and it’s so full of smoke in the Valley. We’ve got ashes falling from the sky.
I like a mix of both - over-the-top and approachable, common sense. I think if you have the money to go over-the-top sometimes then it is nice to see; however, if one does not (or your just saving it) that is okay too - because I love seeing the creativity of using what you got or something thrifty. I just come to see what your doing basically. Your content is clean, watchable, fun, and inspirational; therefore, thus far, all is well with me. Thanks for you and your family just being you. Enjoyed your daughter singing that was so cute.
Same, I cut through an expensive cord while trimming my hedges too. I think I prefer a mix of both because that’s what I do. Add one expensive neutral thing that will last for years and do affordable/cheaper cute decor that is a little more bold.
Burlap fabric with twine or wrapping paper with bow works great to decorate black pots plants come in. Can use ribbon too. Vinyl table cloths or dollar tree table cloths cut in square. Will make it water proof too. Use that decorative tape. For just temporary covers. .Love your home, and family. You look great glad you did not hurt yourself when you cut the cord. Have done it myself. Also sucked up vac cord and had to replace that and have vac up lamp cords or phone cords. Haha! You look great by the way. I am so making the pumpkin butter and waffles. YUM!!!!!
Hi Megan. Such a great inspiring video. been looking forward to it all week . family and i are under the weather with covid . But God is Good. Your children are growing so fast and beautiful.. God Bless you all!
The little pod (that’s what you called it) in the beginning of the video, is a gum ball They come off a lovely tree, but the balls are a pain and get all over the ground under the tree. Peggy
Always focus on the good. Like you said, that is what we want to remember! Whatever is good and lovely and of good report... And your decorations throughout your house are lovely, AND your porch is gorgeous!!!! AND you have ENOUGH pumpkins!!!! AND yum to the pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin honey butter!!!!!! That dinner in a pumpkin looked delish! Thanks for ALL the ideas for fun fall food.
Those spiky balls in your centerpiece are from sweet gum trees. The trees are pretty and great for shade, but kind of a pain (literally) to have in your yard :)
Thank you so much for all the hard work that you do making videos 📷 and all that it takes to make a video.there are not enough WORDS to show how grateful I am thank your husband to please
Hi Megan, I always look forward to your videos. You are very real and that means a lot to me. I love your decorating. Your home and porch look very inviting. I had to laugh when you said you cut the extension cord when you were trimming your bushes. I did the same thing only I cut the cord to the trimmers themselves. Lol. Your dishes you make always look so delicious. I can't wait to try some of them. Fall is also my favorite season. I love everything about it but especially the beautiful autumn colors. God bless you and your lovely family. Pam in Ohio
We had sweet gum trees in our front yard. The pods come from that tree. Sweet gum pods and they hurt really bad to step on them bare foot. I am still catching up on your lovely blogs Megan. I enjoy them so much.❤
You have a great balance. The messy things are what we learn from. If we wanted Pinterest stuff we could go and look at it, but my preference would always be for the realistic and practical.
I like both, in that I like to take the challenge of figuring out how to make the ritzy stuff in a way that is affordable and sourced reasonably. im a single mama and I dont have alot of money but I love to make memories not spend alot of money.
Megan, one year, I put the planter into a brown grocery bag, rolled down the top to just under the plant then, wrapped raffia around the middle of the bag, and made a knot. Was very nice.
I feel like it's fun to like vicariously through the fancy people's home decor tours but I can actually get doable ideas from more "normal" people like you. Your home is gorgeous but approachable
Practical is great. Using ones imagination and frugality is good. But expensive can be beautiful as well Inspiration exists everywhere.. Thank you for the inspiration you provide.
TY so much for sharing all these facets of a life I'd never see if you didn't. A great break and grounding for me. You have a lovely family, and life. Very fun to share along a bit. Really good editing and music choices as well, IMHO. & yes, I think your lil' gal is officially a "pre-schooler" now. Time flies! Her dress is adorable, BTW. Seeing her twirlinig around so happily brought joy. TC~
The jute string looked really good / Just right ... The pancakes with the pumpkin butter look amazingly delicious ... Loved the white tea pot/it is lovely ... Loved this video / The children have grown so much .. Fletcher looks like a little man with his cute haircut ... Love your family ❣
Hey hey ! I was waiting all day long for this video. So excited, I'm sure I will get lots of ideas as usual, love your content. Your living room is amazing !
I like both but your style is awesome 😎. It’s more visually pleasing the way you decorate. Love that you kept in the SLASHING OF THE CORD 😆. It made me laugh with you .
We LOVE the fall! I am enthralled by the sky and lengthening shadows. Cranberry red are my favorite mums. Seeing the Strasbourg Railroad takes me back 15+ years to when our young boys checked out kids’ train documentaries at the library. They all 3 still love trains. Thanks to them, so do I! Praying for peace during the pregnancy and for your dear littlest boy.
Oh & you arent the first to cut the cord ! I have cut mine so many times its not funny lol I splice the cord back & tape it & continue on ! But i jave found that if i throw the cord over my shoulder it doesnt drop in the way so I havent cut the cord anymore..!!
I think your flower pots look fine, but if you want to change them up, you might try winding the twine onto the whole surface of them like a spool of thread. Just put a dab of hot glue every so often to attach...but not too much or it will melt a hole in your pot. 😁
Your porch is beautiful! I like the homey look down to earth looks much better than the “artificial” look that no one really lives with! I enjoy your true to life channel!
I love to see realistic decorating. Your porch looked nice. You have such great ideas. I love concord grapes too. Takes me back to when I was young on my grandparents farm, when they had harbors full of them.
So much to see in this video! Your yard sales are deluxe! Looked like a mini toy store at one of them. It is rare to find large group yard sales around here. Love your pumpkin picks and loved the sound of the ingredients in your stew! So nice that you and Josh have special family trips with the kids so often. Not everyone does. Keep enjoying your fall, (although it hasn't really officially started has it?) Can't get over how fast the kids are growing up! Fletcher looks great in his big boy haircut and Evonnie makes a beautiful princess! Wondering what you will be doing for a stroller come November! All the best and God bless.
This was such a cozy video. I recently found you and have been binging on your videos. Your personality is super refreshing and I look forward to Thursdays now! Thanks for sharing! 😊 Happy Fall!
Oh I love watching all of these fall videos! I live in New England and fall in New England is just the most beautiful season that I have ever seen anywhere! Usually I am out a few days a week with the kids exploring all of the farms, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, farmers market, etc. However, I just had a baby # 7 and I am pretty much homebound this fall. I have found my usual outings just way too difficult by myself with seven kids as I am severely outnumbered. Lol We are hoping to go apple picking and to the pumpkin patch at least once. I am so happy that I get to live vicariously through your videos! Please post more content like this! It makes me so happy to sit here nursing my baby and watch a video like this.
Funny when you talked about Strasburg railway and the train! My special needs son loves trains and talks about this railway all the time and wants to go on it! Haha We live in Australia
Really enjoyed the touristy scenery on this video! Perhaps you'll head out to Longs Park once? Wolfs Sanctuary might be nice and or Speedwell Forge. I see that the city is definitely upping it's game as well. The homes around there (many of them) are really spacious and have a LOT of beautiful woodwork through out. You're a fantastic tour guide! I'd need a powerised hand tool to cut through a pumpkin but it does look good, I bet even putting pumpkin soup in it would be tasty. Thanks for today's video!!!
In the UK we call it Autumn, but I always think of the USA this time of the year, because the Fall, as you say is so big in your Country, and having visited America in the Fall I will always remember the sights and smells. Absolutely love the video. My favourite time of year too. How an earth do you keep your home looking so sparkling clean, would love to be there.
I loved all this video. Your fall decor is beautiful. I love you doing it on a budget. I loved seeing you so giddy about Fall. You are precious with a precious family.
I’ve cut the cord many times, unfortunately. I kind of put the cord over my shoulders now and that works for me. Your pumpkins are beautiful. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I love seeing people decorate their homes using mostly what they have on hand...attainable decor. Love the coloured pumpkins, they are so pretty. Fall is my favourite too.
Definitely this!
My friend decorated my 200 year old farm house with rock and branch arrangements in buckets and feed pans and it looks BEAUTIFUL
I like the down to earth decorating. I’m not huge on decorating and it blows my mind how much money people will spend on decorations. Honestly, if you can make a space look put together cheaply, that gets me the most excited! :)
Beth, I am with you 100%
Me too Beth. My daughter gives me some of the decor she replaces. My goal is to increase my emergency fund to $20,000 by the end of 2021.
I like seeing people decorate. I don't buy decorations because I don't need extra things to clean.

And I thought it had to do with women being dressed by maids..
Does that mean that they wore their swords under their shirts?
Women can wear men’s flannel shirts, too. They are warm and cozy in the fall whether they are for women or men.
@@janh519 My daughter loves wearing men's shirts.
I ran to the comments to share the secret to telling men's from women's shirts with you! :D I purchased a super cute flannel shirt at a thrift store, and this older gentleman came into the library (where I worked at the time) and exclaimed "I have that SAME shirt!" you are an absolute inspirational working Mum.
I love how neat and beautifully decorated your house looks!!!

Not all mums come back.
Hmmm, really. I guess the ones they sell around here are all the same kind because they all come back. That's good to know.
Those prickly balls are from a sweetgum tree ! I have about a million of them in my yard when they start falling ! I have to rake them for months to get them gone but they are cute..just not fun to step on !

Also, if you know of similar channels you recommend please let me know 😄
The farmer handling the five horses ...wow 😮. I cut electrical cords several times too 😉
Your fall decorations look beautiful! I am more of a simple gal myself. I love the addition of twine around the mums.
Yellow mums is my favorite. The brighter the better
If you put corn stalks tie them around your poles top and bottom with twine. They will stay put
I love mums and my favorite colors are the purple and rust colors. And I like the type of decorating that you do; the natural, not overly-expensive, not overly-perfect decor but homey and cozy. I love homey and cozy and you do it well❣
Your front porch looks great! I like when it isn't over the top, looks more doable! Great video!
Megan!!!!!! You absolutely glow when you’re pregnant❤️ I loved this video and all the fall-themed content! Happy Fall Megan 🎃🍁🍂🌾🌻🪵🏈🧡🤎!!!!
Fall is the best! And I tell my significant other that pumpkins are my love language too lol he doesn’t get why but they bring me such joy!
Oh my goodness that’s the same syrup jar my grandmother had forever! It’s probably from the 50’s/60’s! So nostalgic✨
The twine idea was super cute! And I love your humble attitude.
You can put butter or oil in the pumpkin and rub salt and pepper around with the salt and pepper to coat the walls better.
For the rope on the pots I would start at the top and wrap in rows all the way down. You could hot glue the rope here and there to secure it.
The porch is perfect!. Attainable is good! The jute around the pot elevated them. I like it.

Until the weather here feels like fall I can't get excited. But maybe soon. I love autumn too!
Jasmine or basmati rice is the jam. I'm here for it megan!
Approachable is more realistic. I love front porch
We had sweet gum trees in our front yard. The pods come from that tree. Sweet gum pods and they hurt really bad to step on them bare foot. I am still catching up on your lovely blogs Megan. I enjoy them so much.❤
They're gumballs from a gumball tree. And muscadine grapes or scuppernong are the fall grape of choice here in North Carolina.
You have a great balance. The messy things are what we learn from. If we wanted Pinterest stuff we could go and look at it, but my preference would always be for the realistic and practical.
I love approachable decor! Also dark red, burgundy mums are my fave!!!!
I LOVE driving through Litiz during the Fall and Christmas season!
I feel like it's fun to like vicariously through the fancy people's home decor tours but I can actually get doable ideas from more "normal" people like you. Your home is gorgeous but approachable
The pinky rust mums are my favorite. I like attainable decorating the best. But, over the top is fun to watch.
I LOVE FALL. my favorite season to. Everything pumpkin.. Inspires me to go and decorate for fall. Ach I wanna come garage saleing in Lancaster.😊😉
I love watching people decorate their homes! It really don't matter if it's way out there or very simple I just love watching!
Practical is great. Using ones imagination and frugality is good. But expensive can be beautiful as well Inspiration exists everywhere.. Thank you for the inspiration you provide.
I enjoyed this video.I have never seen turquoise pumpkins in real life, just in pictures only.Ty for sharing.
We don't really go im for seasonal home decor here in the UK so it's quite interesting to see how popular it seems to be in the US.......
nice to see the twelve apostles framed poster you have leaning against wall. love from Victoria, Australia
Love the pumpkins! Also love the leopard print shirt over the black dress. Super cute!!
TY so much for sharing all these facets of a life I'd never see if you didn't. A great break and grounding for me. You have a lovely family, and life. Very fun to share along a bit. Seeing her twirlinig around so happily brought joy. TC~
And a much better quality than the overpriced unrealistic disney ones!
Save some of the pumpkins seeds and grow your own next summer! Pumpkins are easy to grow, and it's so nice to watch them grow and ripen.
It all looks so nice. The pods are sweet gum balls, they fall from sweet gum trees.
I love your fall decor and the leopard print shirt with your black dress I love it. Great video
The jute string looked really good / Just right ... The pancakes with the pumpkin butter look amazingly delicious ... Loved the white tea pot/it is lovely ... Loved this video / The children have grown so much .. Fletcher looks like a little man with his cute haircut ... Love your family ❣
Megan, I love watching how you do things, Natural and fun and happy. Keep doing exactly what you are doing.
If you have some burlap lying around you could wrap that around the bottoms of the pots and tie the jute to hold it. It looks cute as is though. :)

I like watching attainable decor! This is the first video I’ve watched of yours and I like it!
This was such a cozy video. I recently found you and have been binging on your videos. Your personality is super refreshing and I look forward to Thursdays now! Thanks for sharing! 😊 Happy Fall!
Love your porch, the string around the pots was a brilliant idea.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I really dont like summer and all its heat. We live in northern pa and its gorgeous in the fall!!
Funny when you talked about Strasburg railway and the train! My special needs son loves trains and talks about this railway all the time and wants to go on it! Haha We live in Australia
You are such a JOY!!! I just love your sweet giggles & I'm a Fall lover too!! It's like a breath of fresh air & stunning colors!!
Get some raffia and tie it around the outdoor lights it adds a great touch
In the UK we call it Autumn, but I always think of the USA this time of the year, because the Fall, as you say is so big in your Country, and having visited America in the Fall I will always remember the sights and smells. Absolutely love the video. My favourite time of year too. How an earth do you keep your home looking so sparkling clean, would love to be there.
Your decorating is absolutely beautiful. My decorating is none I'm terrible at it.
In east Texas we call those little pigs gum balls. They come from a sweet gum tree ❤️
I loved all this video. Your fall decor is beautiful. I love you doing it on a budget. I loved seeing you so giddy about Fall. You are precious with a precious family.
The cord cutting made me laugh! I’m glad you included it. We have cut more extension cords in our house while trimming our huge hedges. 😂
I’ve cut the cord many times, unfortunately. I kind of put the cord over my shoulders now and that works for me. Your pumpkins are beautiful. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I love the attainable decor best. I find it much more inspiring.
Your front porch is beautiful! I loved this video… let’s be real I love ALL your videos. You are a breath of fresh air! I like the red mums 🙂
