The answer is a lot simpler. We consume too much, and we don't know that we consume too much. Fast food, frozen food, processed foods, etc have less of an impact than simply being aware of and reducing how much you eat. I have not really changed my diet, I still eat fast food, I still eat frozen food. Hell, I still eat a good amount of junk food. I am aware, however, of how many calories I am taking in every day. I lost 55is pounds (245 down to 190) in less than a year and have kept my weight around 190 for the last 9-10 months simply by keeping an eye on the calories I take in. I need to lose a little more weight (10-15lbs) to be at a normal weight. That will take a diet adjustment to a proper balance of carb/fat/protein but getting out of the obese range is a lot more simple, just eat less and be aware of what you are eating.

Have been saying this for decades. Sorry I am not a cardiac surgeon.
Many complain that nobody "told" them. American education sucks. Parents are to blame as well. They are the #one teachers. Not everyone lives in Mayberry.
No longer teach cursive, reading and compression. How about bringing them back? Including nutrition and budgeting?

Cereal and oatmeal aren't full of sugar idk what this guy is smoking but cereal and oatmeal are almost entirely fiber unless he's referring to marshmallow cereal which isn't cereal that's just marshmallows floating in milk it's not a sandwich if it's bread soaked in orange juice so it's not cereal if it's marshmallows floating in milk other than that wild statement about cereal this dudes mostly right Americans simply eat to much like yeah it's the cliche stereotype of oh America has giant portions but that's not a joke nor is it a stereotype it's a fact america has the largest portions when it comes to fast food and fast food is everywhere in America like I live 30 minutes (not even) north of the American Canadian border I frequently go down to America because of shipping and mailing I just have all my shit shipped to a small depot south of the border it's cheaper in most cases the du
mb part though is that on the drive south i can play a guessing game where I guess what fast food joint I'll see next it's just that prevalent and is easily the main cause of obesity

Nothing to do with cleaning off your plate. The majority of farmers are cooperations aka government. There isnt one product grown by those cooperations that they can sell in any vountry but america wothout changing the ingredients. Go to another country see the world read books and tell me why that is? Thats your answer when u find out
