    Another great video. I fitted the Touratech cartridge (made by Tractive I believe) last month and it makes a big difference to the ride, especially brake dive.
    Thanks for posting. 😉👍

      Thank you. Yeah, that's how I understand it too, they're both the same cartridge, just branded differently. Thanks for watching.

      Is it suitable also for F800s?

    Thank you for posting this option help me decide on which motorcycle I will buy. Looked at Tiger 900 GT PRO and Rally, and KTM 890 R, Honda, a Yamaha and even the BMW 1250. Now that I know I can put a front fork adjustment on the 850 GS, I'm planning on getting the 2023 850 GS with low suspension being a short rider.

    Thank you, I just think very much like you about all around the 850 gs/gsa, I just bought a 2018 gs with only 4300 miles on it, just as out of the shop, I want to do everything myself.

    Great production value on your video, and I like the idea of the bicycle stand. This job is on my to do list, as I've only heard good reviews on what it does for the bike. Just have to come up with the funds. Many thanks.

      Thanks, I appreciate that. Quick impressions are very positive, looking forward to really testing this out soon.

    Was a game changer for mine before I traded in for 1250 rallye. 850 great but radiators mounts are a Achilles heel. Cracked two radiators in my 21,000 miles on it. Not the only one either, common thing in Colorado.

    • @MotoTravelUSA
      @MotoTravelUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's crazy, I did see someone else mentioned the radiator and check that often. Luckily I haven't had that issue 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞best of luck and safe travels with the 1250, it's a beaut

      Thanks. 👍I'll keep you updated on how they are for sure. First impressions are night and day difference between stock, with no front end dive when braking. Testing off road on a long trip shortly. Appreciate the comments

    Hello Bro
    Loved the video. I am planning to go for the same cartridge but wanted to check on one thing. How does it perform with the stock rear suspension ?

    Thanks for the upload! I have a question. Do we change the cartridge on just the right leg or both the fork legs?

    Checking in to see how you like the shock. Great maint videos. I use them all the time.

      Thanks, I appreciate the compliment, glad they're helpful. I really like the shock and feel it was totally worth the money. Rode MABDR last year without it and this year with it and it felt so much better. Dialed in for me and the gear really makes it feels more planted and better maneuvering.

      @@MotoTravelUSA just started getting into this “dirt” nonsense and really enjoy your videos. Clear and concise. Plan on running the MABDR next year. Maybe we will run into each other. Best wishes.

    How do you find forks now for comfort, ie road riding on bumpy roads, potholes, sharp edges, are they still plush enough for comfort

    Thanks for video. I’ve been thinking of getting the TouraTech fork. Had you considered this one? Obviously your happy with the Tractive you have, I’m not aware it’s available here in OZ

    • @MotoTravelUSA
      @MotoTravelUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I understand touratech And the tractive fork are the same, except for the branding. It makes a world of difference to the front end.

    Hi! Great video! I'm using it to replace my fork cartridge. I'm having difficulty removing the bolt from the bottom of the fork. Mine just seems to spin but won't break free. Any thoughts?

    • @MotoTravelUSA
      @MotoTravelUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember correctly make sure the fork tube is held in tightly with the triple tree or the entire thing will spin. Good luck!

    • @thomasfinch5605
      @thomasfinch5605 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MotoTravelUSA the fork tube itself doesn't spin but the inner cartridge does. I have the leg disassembled with the spring and guides out and I can look in to see the stock damper assembly turning when I turn the bolt. At the bottom of your fork leg, was the stock damper assembly fixed in rotation by flats on the damper assembly? I see flats on the new cartridge... Also was there loctite on the bottom bolt when you removed it? Thanks!

    • @thomasfinch5605
      @thomasfinch5605 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ended up jamming a pine yard stick down the leg to wedge the cartridge on two sides. Bolt spun right off lol
