    K&N are known not to be suitable for offroad applications. Use with caution. Thanks for making this video regardless.

      Shouldn't be an issue if this bike spends most of its time on the road but that is true.

    Hi, it was a great video to teach people how to change air filter. Can you please also cover spark plugs and Valve clearance in future videos on the F850GS... Thanks.

      I second that! I am lacking guidance on how to do some critical maintenance stuff on the 850, I had an easier time of it with the k16 I used to own. I have 12k miles on my 850 and am due for bearing swap, valve check, plugs and filter change.

    This is what I needed. My exact bike and filter just installed. Is it true these suck in more dust and don’t filter as well as foam? I’ve had these in all my sports tourers.

      Yeah, I think air filters are like oil and tires. One camp loves after market filters and the other says why mess with OEM since the built the thing. I like the reusable and cleanable aspect of the filter. It’s great tho. My OEM has tons of sand in it and I was getting 44mpg with it. Now I’m getting 55-56mpg with the k&n. Cool thing is I can clean it as often as I want. Thanks for watching!

    Did you saw differences with this instead the original filter ? Thanks

      It has performed great, I’ve seen no difference in performance.

      Mahler is the german manufacturer BMW uses as a preferred source but as long as it fits, they generally all work the same.

    and for bmw 850 gsa?

    Pretty sure you do not have to remove the gas cap screws...

    • @MotoTravelUSA
      @MotoTravelUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A stock F850GS does not need to remove the screws. But as stated in the video, I have a GIVI tanklock that does have to be removed or you will not be able to remove the tank cover.
